Delicious, reasonably priced food that's local. I usually get Cava when I'm craving Mediterranean but decided to support a small business instead. We ordered the tomaya, I thought it was going to be like toom dip but this was way more garlicy and acidic which we loved. Wasn't the biggest fan of the pita pieces, they were really thin and flimsy. I got the souvlaki and my partner got the wame sandwhich, both super flavorful and tender. It's a pretty casual establishment with not that many workers, I feel like it should be self-serve because they didn't have the full capacity of a sit-down restaurant to check up on us but I guess they wanted tips. I asked for water and they tried to give me bottled water... I am not paying extra water. Felt a bit deceptive like they were trying to up sell me. I would still return because the portion sizes were pretty big, my sandwich could be enough for two servings but I would probably get it to go. read more

My fiancé and I were so hungry and wanted something clean and healthy and it was getting late and we came across WAME, and Andrew was so welcoming and friendly and didn't mind that we came so late. New middle eastern restaurant near Collegeville, right before the bridge on Ridge street. We ordered take out but you can dine in or sit outside, probably a great option when the weather is nice. The restaurant is clean and servers are friendly. We ordered Beef Shawarma entry; Chicken Shawarma entry; Chicken Shawarma sandwich; small sampler appetizer; Wame drink and Turkish coffee. We are not really expert on middle eastern food, so the beef shawarma tasted too gamey for us. The chicken one is a little bland, but good enough. The Wame drink is tasty and sweet and the turkish coffee is pretty good too. Overall, not as good as I hoped, but probably because I don't know much authentic middle eastern food. For the most part the food was good. Three stars because of the value. The gyro and falafel sandwiches were better than average, but for $15 they were smallish and came with no sides at all. For that price they could at least throw 50 cents worth of chips or fries on the plate, even if just for some goodwill. The hummus appetizer was very small and watery. Hummus should be somewhat thick, this was soupy and "loose", and low on the flavor. The tahini was also very bland. Excellent french fries, but also a very small portion for the price. A bunch of the other reviews mentioned that stuff was "made fresh ". I'm sure the salads are. But I watched the guy take falafel out of a frozen bag and throw in the deep fryer. Foil fragments and bone found! The food was okay but what I didn't notice until I was halfway through my chicken shawarma sandwich was that since they cut through the sandwich once it was wrapped in tin foil, my sandwich had fragments of tin foil throughout where they cut. So I definitely ate some foil. Also, my boyfriend found a 2inch bone in his sandwich and thank god he noticed before taking a bite. This is a new middle eastern restaurant in collegeville that just opened last week. The area needed a place like this. I tried the beef and chicken shawarma sandwiches both were really good. I liked the beef more than chicken to be honest as it felt more authentic to my middle eastern taste. The chicken one needed more garlic sauce but still it's my own taste and this off course can very form a person to a person. Also tried fatoush salad and fatet chicken shawarma, both were average. The place is also very nice, clean and has a very nice outdoor seating with a great view on bridge street. Will definitely come back to get more shawarma and try other items on the menu. I hope that they can also start doing shawarma arabi platters, the small bites that come in meals that will be awesome. Just finished a wonderful meal here!! We started with the mini-sampler which was more than enough for the two of us. I had the chicken kabab platter (with the best chicken I have had in a long time), my husband had the falafel platter. Both were excellent and necessitated take home boxes! He had two cups of the Turkish coffee and Baklava. He kept saying he was going to take half of the baklava home, but ended up eating it all! I drive by this establishment very often so I decided to stop one day and try it out. I ordered the beef shawarma with a side of French fries. I asked for the garlic sauce and the tzatziki on the side. It was prepared very quickly and right in front of me. The workers there (Friday the 13th) we're both very nice and understood what I want. Decided to go here because I wanted something quick and the photos (and place itself) made it look like a quick take out place where I could order something fast and sit down and eat, considering the whole menu was above the counter. They had us sit down for table service at the most shaky wobbly tables imaginable, they were all like this. A tent even blew over and fell on a customer. We waited no joke 45 minutes for sandwiches that should have taken MAX 5-10 minutes at any other shawarma place. There wasn't even a lot of people there, plenty of open seats so it's not like they were slammed. Even if they were backed up on to-go orders it shouldn't take that long for something so simple. If you can't handle that much volume either higher more people or inform me that it's going to take awhile. The food itself was was decent. Chicken was good, hot sauce was excellent, fries were generic and unsalted, hummus was shockingly bad with a gross after taste. So all in all could have gotten just as good if not better for the same price and way better service anywhere else. Would never go back. P.S. This place just opened a few days ago. I came here to try their shawarma today. I tried the chicken shawarma, beef shawarma and the heart attack sandwich. I can honestly say I was not disappointed and the food tasted amazing. The chips come out soft but taste really good. The owner is a very nice guy and workers are super polite and helpful. The place is very nicely decorated. I recommend it and I'm so happy I only live a couple blocks away. It felt really good to see very well made shawarma nearby. The Fattoush salad was delicious but the actual garlic hummus was soupy. I have NEVER had soupy hummus. I could have poured it into a cup and would've been able to drink it. I called in for a pick up and spoke to a very friendly guy who took my order and suggested the offer of getting half of a wrap on my order. I got 1 kids meal which came with fries and 2 chicken wraps/sandwich and 1 falafel wrap/sandwich. The portions were good but we did not like our wraps.
