Affordable and honest work. This is a one man business and Walt charges the most fair out of every other plumbing companies that charges ridiculous minimums 100-250 without doing any work. Walt is old school but he gets the work done at the lowest cost. He helped cleared up a clogged sink pipe for me and replaced a cracked cap for less than $130. We have used Walt a number of times in the last 20 years. We put up with all his un-solicited political opinions because he did good work and was fair. This last time is the last time I will call him. He unplugged our main drain for $100 which was ok. I asked him to look at the bathroom sink drain. I had various people install all-new countertops, sinks, faucets, etc. in my kids bathroom. Unfortunately no one saw that the old location of water valves and drains obstructed the pop-up drain rods in one of the faucets. They suggested that I move the plumbing at significant expense. Walt's Plumbing was recommended by the Keller Supply warehouse in Redmond. Mr Walt Gillespie simply used a set of pliers and a hacksaw to cut down parts of the stainless assembly until it all fit. I found Walt through Next Door from neighborhood referrals. I needed to get the master bath toilet wax seal fixed after seeing a leak in the front of the toilet. I planned to initially try to fix it myself, which was on Saturday, but the bolts holding the toilet down were rusted and I didn't have the right tools so I decided to call Walt. He answered his phone that same day and said he'll call me back during the week when he would be available to see where I was at. Walt is certainly a very interesting character, but he's professional and really knows what he's doing. After multiple back and forth calls during the week until Friday morning, I couldn't get a firm timeframe from him so felt like looking for another plumber. After calling a couple different plumbers who had no appointments until 2-3 weeks out, I got a call back from Walt and he was able to come over just before noon. After less than an hour and a half, he got it fixed and at a very reasonable cost. I would definitely call Walt again if I have any plumbing issues in the future. He's not like a typical business and is very old school so you'll need to be prepared for that. If you initially go through a similar experience as mine, be patient as he will call you back when he has a moment as he's very busy on jobs. read more

Thought I only needed to replace a faucet cartridge in my bathroom sink but after doing so it still leaked. Called Walt's Plumbing and Walt came out shortly after the call. I called to see if they move toilets 1 to 2 feet on the second floor with wood paneling below to my shock he responded back with anger and said "We are too busy and don't have time to do anything for you" He was rude and mean. I called Walt as he was highly recommended in my neighborhood Nextdoor app. He came in short notice and mitigated my insta-hot water leak quickly and at a very reasonable rate. He recommended removing an unnecessary water filter. He also informed me that to fully remediate the situation and replace the fixture will require several hours and drilling a bigger hole in the granite countertop to accommodate the fixture size. Since the existing fixture has plastic pipes at some point they will be brittle and will probably leak and recommends doing that work when the time comes. I will not hesitate to call him for any future plumbing needs.
