We purchased a shed through New England Outdoor recently. I was nervous about making a purchase…read moreonline, without seeing their product in person, but I am so glad we did. It's exactly what they promised! It is what we need to store our snow blower, etc. I asked endless questions and the owner, Jon, and another employee named Lauren were incredibly patient. They answered every question within a day or less. I have had so many negative experiences with contractors, but this was a great purchase from the first email to the professional install. At one point, Jon said I could have the guy who installed our shed pad (see picture) call him if he had questions to ensure it was done properly for drainage purposes. I have never had such a positive experience with a major purchase-- of anything. I wish I needed another shed. I would buy one from them again. My suggestion is to find out exactly what you need to ensure a seamless install. They list details on their website for reference. Send them a picture and ask if it looks reasonably within their parameters. They answered every question. A good quality shed isn't cheap, but done well-- it's so worth the money. I want to add that the crew who installed the shed were incredibly professional. They showed up early. They worked diligently. They got the shed up in a very timely fashion and cleaned up better than anyone who has ever done work on our property. I highly recommend NEO and Eastern Shed who did the install. Great service. Love my shed!! Thank you--

The targeted time was between 10 and 12. I watched these 4 guys and they were all business! They worked so well as a team and everyone had their role to play. The shed went up quick and I had done the prep on the site per Reeds Ferry's instructions. By 11am they were cleaning up and getting ready to leave. The foreman talked to me about the warranty and asked if I had any questions. I know this shed will last for 30 years because it is built very well with quality products. You may pay a little more for a shed at Reeds Ferry, but you won't need to replace it and you get exactly what you paid for. We couldn't be happier with them and I would highly recommend them to anyone. We had to wait a while before they could get to us and believe me it was worth the wait. These guys were professional and if you had your own business these are the guys you want working for you. Any owner would be very proud of them and they represent the company better than you would expect. A shout out to Truck # 17 for another happy customer of Reeds Ferry's!!! Thank you very much Mark and Katy!!!

I chose this company because of its family orientation, small approach to business and really…read morewanted to be happy with the work they did. I hired them to paint the exterior of my home, all trim, windows and doors, foundation, included in the contract. They finished the work late one night and promised to return for our inspection and a touch up. I tried to reach them for 5 weeks after that promise and never heard back. The job is not complete, and they do not stand by their work. Overall, I'm probably a 3 out of 5 happy with the job as is; taking away an additional star for ghosting me, and another for the weird stuff mentioned in the next paragraph. We have see areas they missed or skipped, dropped paint where it didn't belong, one coat where there should have been 2.. etc.. I didn't get on a ladder to fully inspect the roof trim but imagine it needs another coat. We only had a few windows with full trim that were in the contract to be painted, and they didn't even touch them. The job is maybe 70% done. I stupidly paid the contract because I trusted what David said. Learn from my mistake. A few odd things happened while they were here that I may not otherwise mention but given the overall lack of professionalism, I do think others deserve to hear. 1. Supplies were stored in my shed, which I never gave permission to enter. It's not a problem but seems strange you'd open a door at a client's house without discussion. 2. With that, I was out of the house for a few hours one day; I set the alarm but left the front door unlocked in case they wanted to paint it while I was out. Thinking they'd certainly call before entering my house, this seemed logical. Nope, they opened the door without contact and set off the alarm. Again, no prior discussion. 3. Aggressively tried to sell me on additional carpentry after I repeatedly said no. Somehow, each time I said no, the project changed a little bit but the price remained the same. David did mention to me that he grew up in the area and so a lot of friends recommend him. I thought this was a good thing, but I now know it falsely reflects his company's reputation. As I said in my last message to David, no hard feelings, if his company is willing to return to remedy the situation and complete the contract, I am happy to edit my review. I am not writing this out of malice but so others do not land in the frustrating situation we are in now.

Confirmed on the phone that…read morethe appointment was set for 11am, I would stay with the car, and drive off the lot no later than 2pm. I dropped my car off on time, was greeted with quick remarks and attitude from the gentleman inside who informed me my car was "scheduled for 12pm but I have no idea when we will get to it" and to come back and pick it up later. From being told and confirming all the details on the phone to getting told a completely different story in person is just not up to my standard of customer satisfaction. There was no "waiting area" besides a bench outside (it was raining) and I hadn't arranged for a ride because I was expecting to wait for it to be done. My car was done around 4pm and the new people inside were nice and easier to talk to than the grump earlier in the day. The hitch has performed as advertised, but I would have saved myself the headache and gone elsewhere if I had known I would be without my car for the better part of the day.

This was my second hitch installation at this location. I had one done last year and the experience…read morebetween the two was night and day. First time was great. Clear information given, the process was explained top to bottom, the tech had a great personality and genuinely seemed to care about my experience. That's what brought me back to get a new hitch put on a new car. Sadly this time didn't start off right and I should have bailed then. Appointment was made online via the U-Haul app for Monday the 18th a week ahead of time. On the following Friday I get a call from a tech (didn't provide a name) telling me the parts for my installation hadn't come in. He said that it was a FedEx issue and that they would be in Tuesday morning and would I want to reschedule for Wednesday. I explained that wasn't satisfactory as I have a camping trip planned and was leaving after the install on Monday. The tech didn't care, continued to blame FedEx and that there was nothing he could. After back and forth with his excuses and having to raise my voice over his to speak, I asked for his manager. He told me his manager (name not provided) would call me back shortly and explain the situation. Immediately after hanging up the phone I called U-Haul customer support and was helped by Josue, who was great and after hearing about what was happening looked in his system and could see all my parts were in stock and that he would call the location to see why they couldn't do it. Surprise surprise, there was no longer an issue and my appointment was all set for Monday morning. ( thank you Josue). Saturday morning I get call from someone named Steve from U-Haul who offers me a new appointment on Sunday, which I took seeing as I was leaving on Monday. Sunday, I'm dropping off my car and while handing the tech my keys I asked to confirm that the work order said I needed a 7pin round/4 pin flat combination plug. It's not standard and I had to select this option when setting up the appointment. As he starts to answer I realize this is the tech that had called me to get out of the job on Friday, I can tell by his attitude. So no name tech starts to tell me that they don't do that. It's always a 4 pin flat and they don't even carry them. I told no name that I was here last year for a hitch and they had no issue with putting a combination plug on. So he decided to ask his manager. The manager comes in, doesn't introduce himself to me but instead carries a conversation with no name about my install as if I'm not standing at the counter. After a few minutes no name manager leaves and no name tech magically pulls out a 7pin combination plug and tells me I'm gonna have to pay extra. At this point I'm livid and just want this to be done because I'm stuck. Trips tomorrow and I need this hitch. So I hand them the key and went on with my day. Install was completed by 12. I DO NOT feel comfortable with this hitch given the experience. I've towed for 13 years and have never felt more unsure about hooking up to my car. The technician was not competent and the manager (Steve, who only gave his name at the start of the phone call saying the job was done)did nothing to elevate those concerns. In fact he exacerbated them. This was not what I was expecting at all. The first experience was so good and the second was so bad that I don't understand what happened. New management? New employees? Poor training? U-Haul should really look at the reviews for the Oakland beach location in RI and consider making some adjustments. I'm sure this isn't how they like their name attached to something. All I can do is hope this was done professionally even if it didn't seem like there was a professional in the building today. I will never use the Oakland beach location again. I will travel if it means I'll be treated like a customer who's spending a good chunk of change and not some nuisance that's only there so you can get paid
