Nelson and his crew are amazing! My back yard was filled with invasive vines with large nasty spikes on them and had actually covered a full grown tree. Nelson was very professional and clear about exactly what had to be done, which included getting all the many vines entirely out of the ground by their roots. I cannot say enough about how excellent Nelson and his team are. Nelson is responsive, meticulous, and extremely fair in his pricing. Our project included removing a ton of concrete and asphalt, installing new sprinklers and a grass/clover mix lawn, a new brick patio, and a new fence. We first contacted Nelson after seeing the glowing reviews on Yelp - he responded almost immediately and came to visit the space within that same week. He had some questions for us about materials we wanted to use so he could develop a quote. As soon as we identified the materials, he responded with a quote that was extremely fair. Within two weeks after signing an agreement, Nelson had secured all of the supplies - bricks, fence, etc - and arranged for the different team members who would be involved (irrigation team, etc) to come. The work was done incredibly quickly and the team was thoughtful and went above and beyond. For example, while work was only being done the backyard, the team went ahead and mowed and fixed up the front yard. For the brick patio, the pattern around each edge was done with incredible detail. Also, there was some work that Nelson does not do - such as wood stairs - but he quickly referred us to someone who is also going to be able to do the work in a short timeframe. Patio has low spots, which collect rain. (Despite that I had 2 drainage grates put in so this wouldn't happen). It takes a day or two to dry, which is inconvenient if you're planning to use it. Haven't heard back from Nelson about possibly correcting this. read more

Our neighbors hired Nelson Landscaping to do their fall cleanup. I am complaining because they hopped our chain link fence and entered our property without permission and also pushed a large blower across out front lawn through our newly seeded area. My husband told them to get off our land. When I called the owner to complain, they hung up on me. Great company!! Came in to remove grass and topsoil , add several yards of new loom and hydro seed after irrigation contractor installed sprinklers; Excellent job. Irrigation company owner commented on what a good job was done by landscaper. Then major storm hit and excessive damage from storm eroded much of the new loom. Nelson came in, had to add several additional yards of loom as well as bring yard back to same condition prior to storm at a very minimal additional cost(for loom only) and no charge for labor. Unfortunately, I have had many experiences where I've been disappointed with either the quality of the end product, customer service, responsiveness or professionalism of people I've hired to complete jobs both inside and outside my home. It seems many contractors simply do not take pride in their work these days. This is far from true with Nelson! He responded to my request for a quote on a walkway installation project within minutes and was at my house to give me a free estimate within the hour.
