On rainy days it's been great to sit under the rooftop that's provided and there is a grassy area to hang out in as well until your train comes. It's nice to sit and read, listen to music, and play games on your phone until your train arrives. I don't dislike this train station as much as I did my first time around. I think it just left a bad first impression.

There is also free WiFi and a TV showing the morning news. Unfortunately it is not usually open in the evening unless there is a special event. I believe you can rent the space out for various clubs and meetings as needed. They also have a space in the back for small concerts and/or big meals. The city of Glen Ridge also offers two jitneys that pickup/drop you off at the train and cover "south" or "north" neighborhoods. It runs from early morning til 8:20am and then again in the evening rush hour from 4 to 8pm. Costs $3 per ride or you can get a monthly or annual pass!

Came to this train spot to commute into the city and was super confused by the parking situation…read more There did not seem to be any parking on site (unless I am mistaken) but it was confusing how to get from the road level floor upstairs to the train station. I circled around many times to try and see if there were any signs around parking and ended up street parking by some apartment buildings. The area itself felt very sketchy and unsafe. A lot of drug usage out on the streets and it was a really run down area of bloomfield. If I had known in advance would have gone to another station - I felt very uneasy about leaving my car there.

In addition, there is a small office area with limited hours on the outbound side (although admittedly, I have never been inside of it). Yes, this station could use an elevator and lacks the proper ramps for anyone who may have difficulty or are unable to use stairs. However, it is my understanding that the town has been working hard to obtain the rights to the property so that it can do this. It is kept clean and it is convenient for me. Enough said.

The Montclair Bonton line stops right here and it basically just a 30 min ride with no stops.
