If you're hungry and want 2 or 3 days of food, this is the place for you. I stopped in after pulling off the Highway, and was amazed at how much food they served. It came with soup or salad and sides, and was only $11.99! I left a sizable tip to make it worth the waitress's time, but I had enough food to take home for 2 more nights! It's cheap and will fill your tummy, though not the best meal you'll ever eat.

Found on Yelp as we drove home and so glad we did. Right off the highway, plenty of parking, we're quickly seated although the hostess was rude and not welcoming at all. The waitress made up for her. She was great! The food was good, prices excellent and if it was closer we would go again. I recommend

Food here is photogenic, but it isn't very good. There are few instances where I would recommend fast food over a proper sit down place. This is such an instance.

Just meat and bread... this is not a "panini" I expected some meaty melty cheese and good crisp bread. This was foul. I've worked the food industry for a very long time. & this was by far the saddest thing... I could never in my right mind ever set this down at someone's table... just terrible... Their French onion soup is honestly the best I've ever had, so I mean it made up for my bad dinner. But still inexcusable

    7. Grilled Marinated Chicken and Bacon Sandwich

I went in with my friends Monday evening around 10pm and the server was nice but not attentive we saw her maybe 3 times I got the marinated chicken club and am eating it when I notice that there is a lot of dark pink sections. I am including a picture of what the chicken looked like below. I called today in the am asking to speak to a manager just to let them know what was going on and when I asked the girl on the other end was like who this and that they weren't there and to try moonlight diner. (Their new location) didn't give me a time that one would be in or anything. I called moonlight diner and asked and no manager was there the girl took my information and said one would call me so I waited and waited but no one called me so I called back and the girl that I guess was the manager kept making excuses that it is cooked and they weren't able to keep chicken after 48 hours. Like ok I get that I understand but that doesn't mean the chicken can't be bloody. All in all not a good experience I had to leave work because I got food poisoning. How do I know it was from there because I hadn't eaten anything all day and was up in the early am not feeling good until I was ultimately sick at work. All I was looking for was an understanding and an apology but instead got excuse after excuse and rude people. Most likely will not be going back. There is a second picture where I included the outside of the chicken so you can see it isn't the marinade.

The Walnut Bottom Diner was a disappointment to say the least. We were greeted by a less than enthused hostess. When my girlfriend sat she had to brush the crumbs from the seat onto the ground just to sit down. Our waitress Amanda who was very attentive and nice greeted us and read off the daily specials. One of which was Beef Tip Noodles with gravy. The waitress returned after taking our orders to inform us that they were out of the Beef Tips. My girlfriend obviously disappointed ordered the Tuna Panini and I ordered the Roast Beef panini. The highlight of the meal was unfortunately the French fries. The Tuna was dry and unusually sweet, coming with a luke warm pickle. My roast beef was dry as leather and the cheese on it had no flavor. I regret to inform you that I will never be dining here again.

    The Seafood Combination was ok.

Love, love, love diners! This one was average. Nothing bad, nothing spectacular. Fastest service I've seen in a long time.

Belgian Cafe Bruges…read more(I'll bet you pronounce it wrong) is what you get when someone made a wrong turn at NYC and ended up in Carlisle - and thankfully so. Belgian is a culinary experience, and the Flemish part has some very decent dishes - but those beers, those are the things that most people find out about the hard way haha. I'm not much of a beer guy but I do love me some moules frites and Steak Frites or really, just about anything and frites... and the Belgians have perfected these dishes - and so have the fine folks at Cafe Bruges. I had to wait until later in the week as it does not open until Wednesday. I popped in on a Thursday and there were plenty of seats at the bar - perfect. The bartender was there to greet me and she set me up with some menus and gave me a few moments to decide on a drink. As beer is not really my thing, i found a decent glass of Côtes du Rhône to get started with. The menu is decent sized and I wasn't completely famished, so I went straight for the steak frites. Myself, a fellow diner sitting next to me, and the bartender (her name was Brooke, by the way) decided it should be med / rare in case the kitchen was off by a level. Turns out the kitchen was spot-on with the medium rare, and this bad boy was just fabulous both in the way it was cooked and seasoned. The accompanying shallot-parsley herb butter and the green beans were both perfect. I literally cleaned the plate. Had a second glass of wine, and when it was all said and done, the visit was just a great experience from start to finish. Great service, conversation and food- what more could you ask for? Definitely give them a visit even if you have to drive over from elsewhere. Street Parking

I did try to make reservations, but they only take reservations for parties of 6 or more. It was pretty loud, which I was surprised by, but once we got settled it got easier to hear everyone. Today wasn't a good day. The breakfast was great except for two things. Got my toast and there…read morewas a tiny spot of butter on some of the toast and none on the others. Secondly, the new manager came in wearing heavy cologne, or body wash, that fumigated the front of the restaurant. He stood at the register the entire time we were eating, and the smell was enough to gag a maggot. It ruined the taste of our breakfast and the enjoyment of the moment for us. In general, we love coming here. Good service, good food and good price! Golden rule: If you work in food service you don't wear perfume or cologne as it can ruin the atmosphere and the flavor of the food being eaten.

The area I could set at was visibly dirty and needed wipe down. The next thing was my sever. Her personality was very dry . Now listening to the rest of the staff. That is not the norm. Today I ordered the senior Haddock. That came with a drink and dessert. The fish was cooked to perfection. And the tapioca was freshly made. If I had to make any comment on the food it would be my soup was overcooked. Now setting at the counter I saw a lot of different dishes coming out of the kitchen. There was not too much that i saw I would turn my nose up at. This place was swamp. So I probably saw it all. So I'm sure with their menu they will have something for you. Do I recommend this place..,, Yes it's diner food. My meal was above average. I liked the overall value. It's beats the local competition down the street. At least compared to my last visit there.
