Firehouse Subs is one of my frequent sub haunts and on the menu today was the Fire House Chicken Bacon Ranch. The FHCBR if you will, had a pepper next to it on the menu I assumed that means spicy so I asked the guy if it was spicy to which he replied "it's not that spicy" so I had an image in my head of a piss poor mild hum, to which I say the counter-man's description did not do the "not too spicy justice". Now this was not a flaming hot hurt your mouth kinda spice but it was a leave some heat lingering great flavor kind of spice, and I've got to add idd consider myself to have a pretty high heat tolerance so idd probably think most normal people are probably gonna think this thing is actually pretty spicy. So I gotta ask, since when are there spicy subs? Like not just sweet peppers, pepper relish or jalops I mean since when do they slather a bad boy down with some capsaicin infused chipotle mayo? My brain doesn't logically go to subs should be spicy, but apparently the chefs over at the Fire Company thought it did and let me tell you I commend them for that. They gave me something I didn't know I needed Fire fighters are supposed to put fires out not start fires and let me tell you Firehouse Subs lit a fire in my mouth and my heart today. The Turkey, Ham and Gilled Chicken Subs were a very nice size, tasted fresh and yummy with plenty of meat, fresh veggies and nice sub rolls. Cookies and Chips were also quite good! As far as fast food subs go, these are my favorite. I really enjoy Firehouse subs and the company does a good job supporting local fire companies and showcases gear from those departments. The walls feature different articles and momentos, they support local initiatives, and have tasty food. They used to have nearly 20 hot sauce available but the last few I've been to don't have them any more. They do offer take-out sauce packs but those are large manufactured hot sauces. This particular location had very friendly employees and they readily helped me discover a new (to me) menu item - I almost always stick with the medium Italian, fully loaded. PRO TIP: Try their Captain Sorensen's sauce. You'll see it in bottles on the counter. It is a nice complement to most of their subs. read more

I ordered on the app and the store cancelled. They called and said it was an electric issue. They said it would be refunded but hasn't been. Now going back and forth with the store and the app both tell me to call the other. Only to find out the store lied and cancelled customers orders because they accepted a catering order. I was here last week at around 5:40pm, the staff of teenagers were so annoying and obnoxious, the two boys took super slow to make my food because they were too occupied with singing to each other. Then the two girls were in the back giggling and gossiping, I'm honestly surprised that their manager trusts them to run this place alone haha. I visited Firehouse quite often in 2022. Almost every time, I left disappointed. The service, the food, the cleanliness. They had a lot to work on. I always gave them a second, third, maybe fourth try and it didn't seem anything changed. I finally gave up. Recently, one of my friends mentioned they were switching owners. I was very pleased considering I love what Firehouse stands for and once in awhile their food was really good considering the employees had their act together. For a short while the store closed due to the switch of owners. A few weeks ago it opened back up and boyyyy am I pleased after going back. The new owner & employees care so much about the customer experience. They make you feel welcome (in the past you felt like a burden to the employees day). The food quality is excellent. Everything is SO fresh! The tables are kept clean, they greet you, and you leave smiling. I had to write this review after visiting again under new ownership. If you've ever been un-satisfied with your experience.. definitely give it another try! I have 100% faith they'll make you re-think Firehouse. Haven't been for a few months, heard it was under new ownership. Went in at noon today (12/8/22) the place was busy, I was greeted by the staff "welcome to fire house!!" It was visibly cleaner than my last visit, the service was fast, the sub was great, even met the new owner as she was the one taking orders. Said she was excited to turn the place around. I'm really glad to see this because a few months ago a co worker and I walked out without even ordering. The place was a mess and the employees could care less that we were even there. I don't find myself leaving "positive" reviews very often, but I feel it was due. Props to the new owner for a great experience today. I stopped by for dinner sans the family. I tested out their hook and ladder sub on wheat. It was good with soft roll and great ham and turkey. I got the combo but next time I may go for the sub only as they fill you up. The place is an easy on off from the interstate and the restroom is clean. I did have one pet peeve in the Firemen's room....who puts a garbage can (a tall one too) right in front of the baby changing table? Obviously not someone who has carried a baby desperate to have her leaking diaper changed. That's my one star reduction....but that could change. Terrible, terrible kitchen management over critical or peak hours. If you need your food at a specific time, and that time involves over lunch on a Friday, hard pass and choose some other restaurant. You will not get your food timely. I ordered on DoorDash @11:45 on a Friday...after 4 other dashers passed on the wait, my food came @ 1:40 with a kind dasher who felt obligated to spend about 20 minutes waiting for my order to be completed. It's subs and salads folks, it shouldn't take 2 hours to get an order out. I wish I could leave zero stars. Update: As I unpacked my food, it was a miracle that my salad wasn't all over the inside of the bag, because the lid was not on even a bit tightly, and I received no plasticware to eat it with and no napkins. Honestly disappointed. As a firefighter at two different stations, I suggested this place to my fiancé who's never been to one. I used to go to one in Lynchburg, VA and it was great. Today, I cannot say this was a stellar experience. The girl we ordered from was nice, but confusing with the menu. I ordered a small sub combo that gets you Mac and cheese. She asked if I wanted a combo on top of that? I figured just adding a drink, but then wasn't sure if I got a cookie or not? Pretty sure it costs more how she ran it up than just getting my original combo. We ended up paying for a cup of water? When our order was up, we started walking out and my fiancé checked our order and our max and cheese was missing. The girl got it than and apologized, which was fine. We got to our truck and started on our way. I opened my sub, took a bite, only to notice there is no meat at all in it. I paid 5 dollars for bread, Mayo, tomato and lettuce. Hugely disappointed by the negligence at this location. Hoping it's not your normal. My fiancés steak sub tasted like it was spoiled steak. My wife and I went in for lunch and were mostly ignored at the cash register waiting to place our order. We were the only customers in the store. When the employee finally came to take our order she acted as if she didn't want us there. She and the other employee both treated us as if we were such an intrusion on their day. My husband wanted to try Firehouse Subs for awhile so I decided to stop on my home from work. Firehouse Subs is conveniently located off S.Hanover Street in Carlisle. When I walked in there were no customers and the employees where all crowded in the back. Quite awkward. The gentlemen employee took my order. A simple large roast beef sub with pepper jack cheese and lettuce on wheat. The sub was made perfect, however the sub roll is so thick my husband took the entire top off of it and ate it that way. This lady with "kris" on her name tag shows up 10 minutes late then when she does show up she lets us sit outside for an additional couple of minutes. She unlocks the door and walks away. She was extremely rude didn't bother to apologize for the wait or anything so we walk in and order and sit down. We ordered a chocolate milk for my daughter and when we got to the table realized we didn't have it. We went back to the counter and asked and the guy said "well, if you would have picked it up". Tried ordering here multiple times; we always use their app. The food has never been correct; either subs were made incorrectly (missing ingredients or with ingredients that we asked them to exclude) or items were missing all together. Today we tried to place an order inside as the restaurant is marked as "temporarily closed" through the parent company, and the man behind the register was outright rude to us before we even made it to the counter. Today i placed an order at 10:11am via grubhub. The location opens at 10:30. I asked for a delivery time of 11:30 to give them time. At 11:06 i got a notification my order was on its way.At 11:55 I called the store to see what was going on. I had to call twice, when i got an answer the women was EXTREMELY rude. Stating we are so busy and then hung up. I understand busy i have worked in the food industry thus the reason i placed the order so soon. Also if you are having such an issue please call, it requires i add a phone number. Also it is going on 12:30 and i still have not received anything. I will not order from this location again. I went to Firehouse Subs today at 11;30 AM, at the noble Boulevard location, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. there were 4 people behind the counter, Christina, and 3 others, one of who I assume was the manager, About 5 foot, 10 inches tall, with balding grey hair. No one acknowledged my presence, or even said that someone would be right with me. I waited 5, or 6 minutes, and still nothing, so I turned around and left. No one said a thing, and just let me walk out. If this is how you treat your customers, I don't think that I would recommend your establishment to anyone.
