Well, feel free to tell Steve that all is well in Carlisle!! It was very clean and so cold that nothing would likely live in the space that could upset the refreshing smell of the deodorizer and commercial fragrance/cleansing agent they use. To top it all off, I was pleasantly surprised by the sincere greeting I received from one of the staff members. It almost sounded like he was singing his "Hello, how are you?" P. S. Love's was conveniently located off the Carlisle exit and they had the air pump well marked. However... charging $3 for someone to pump air... that bumped them to 3 stars! Let's face it... most modern gas stations give air away for free. We still filled up on gas and we still bought some snacks. It seems wild to overcharge or to charge at all for air.

The black chicks that work there are obviously racist. I've never felt more not welcome somewhere…read more It's a gas station. Basic manners shouldn't be difficult considering time spent in the store plus time spent actually completing the purchase is an average of less than 5 minutes. If they can't even at least fake tolerate customers at the very least, it's a huge problem. I realize the climate in the country has could be better when it comes to race relations but this is ridiculous. It's every single time! Last time I was at this location I asked for directions because there was a construction detour on the same block as the speedway and the girl rudely said " I don't know the area" ok... you don't know how to get home from the gas station you work at? I was still polite and said " thanks anyway" then she left my stuff on the counter and walked away. I asked for a bag and she laid it on top of the Red Bull I bought and walked away, leaving me to reach across the counter to get it myself. Today when I was there, I saw a different employee working and I said " good morning " like I normally would and she said nothing at all. Then she rang the stuff up and stood there. I asked if it was ready for tap pay and she rudely pointed at the credit card screen and still said nothing. I paid and said "have a good day" and she still said nothing! This employee actually went through the entire process without saying a single word! It's honestly unacceptable. She smiled and interacted with the black customers so I know it was personal even though we never met before. If you don't want to deal with white people then fine but maybe don't get a job in a place where there's majority white people. I've never felt less welcome and I'm just not going to go back. There's better service at sheetz.

I knew Sheetz and their sandwiches long before I ever meet Wawa. For that reason, I'm a bit biased…read more I definitely prefer Sheetz. It isn't just a brand thing. Sheetz offers made to order sandwiches with numerous vegetarian/vegan toppings (more than Wawa has). Touch screens allow you the ability to scroll through all they have to offer and create a sandwich just how you like it. Tomatoes, onions, pickles, hot and regular peppers, lettuce, spinach, if it is a regular thing on a sandwich, they probably offer it. Sauces range from mustard and ketchup and oil and vinegar to pesto and buffalo. Aside from maybe Publix in Florida, I haven't meet a made to order sandwich I like on the same level as Sheetz. Subway? Not even close. Jimmy John's? Nope. Firehouse Subs? Light that fire somewhere else. Sheetz also has a large variety of donuts and sweets. These things are crazy, I'm talking iced donuts with cereal on top, stuffed donuts, candy on your donuts, If you can imagine it, they've probably done it. I think Sheetz is probably solely responsible for the obesity problem in central PA. Their products are just that good. When I visit Pennsylvania, a trip to Sheetz is always near the top of the list. Now, if we can just get them to expand to Florida like Wawa...
