Decent stop to stretch your legs and gas up. Plus, for those who are soda drinker, you're in for a treat! They have 89¢ fountain/frozen drink up to 32oz!! Coffee is good enough for a long drive and quick stop.

One the front line in the territorial war between Sheetz and Wawa, this location is ideally located…read morefor folks headed toward the airport, Lancaster, or the Turnpike. While the parking lot is a typical example of Sheetz' infatuation with sadistic BF Skinner fantasies, this location is generally run well. The staff is friendly and makes eye contact. They respond to lines building up at the checkout. The kitchen is usually moving quickly and the orders are kicked out promptly. The store is generally clean, including the bathrooms which - while not pristine - are rarely nightmare levels of filth you'd see along the highway. It's easy to frind grab-and-go items and there are a lot of pre-wrapped food items to choose from if you just need to gas up and go. This location will get you through the queue quickly. The Beer Cave is often crowded and cramped with product that can't be stocked from the palate, making it hard to get to stock in the back. My main issue with Sheetz is more about the brand. What used to be a go-to spot for decent food has become more of an expensive roller-grill with the kind of subs that you can get wrapped out of a gas station cooler. As Wawa shows up in Central PA, there is a clear difference in quality for about the same price on similar items. When flying in or out of Harrisburg, I'll order lunch from Wawa even if the price of gas is much higher there, just so I don't have to settle for airport fare. But on Lindle Road, I know I'll get quality service so I don't have to make an extra food stop in the neighborhood if I need to keep moving. While Sheetz is obsessive about its branding, that WOW feeling is no longer matched by the kind of radical culinary offerings and quality that made it more than "gas station cuisine" and as someone who discovered this place long ago at IUP during an overnight pub crawl in the late 90s, it's come a long way but in the wrong direction.

Once you near the center of PA the Wawas disappear and Sheetz surfaces. I'm certainly bias to Wawa…read morebut Sheetz is not bad. For what it's worth both Wawa and Sheetz do not do breakfast well but in a pinch on the road they both do the trick. The stores operate in a similar way with touchscreen ordering, pay at the register and pick up your food and/or drinks. The waiting time was not long at Sheetz and I love that they display the status of the orders on a screen with estimated wait time.

I did not see an description on what handle was for what gas. Additionally, I tried to use their bathroom. Both bathrooms were locked so I assumed they were both occupied. The cashier rudely announces "bathrooms out of order". I questioned if both were out of order since there was no signs to indicate which one was not working. I had to ask her two times for a response. She replies "bathrooms out of order". Maybe she was having a bad day, but if a sign was put on the door she may not have to repeat herself. I would only stop here again if it was a last resort.

Just as I decided to go inside to use the restroom, another vehicle pulled up. A female with a small child got out and went inside to use the restroom. As I stood outside the door waiting, I heard an employee a distant away said: "The restroom is closed for the night for cleaning." I told her, "Well, that's impossible, because there's someone in there now." She then informs me, "That was the last customer for the night." I asked her if she was serious. With a very daring look and attitude, she replies, "Yes, it's closed for the night." I told her there was no one else in line and I really needed to go. Her reply was, "Ma'am the bathroom is closed." Needless to say, I was dumbfounded, but left very upset and wondered if race had anything to do with it and if she was lying because another employee looked at her as if to say something, but simply put her head down as I walked out. The customers using the facility were Caucasian and myself, African American. Further, I'm a DISABLED VETERAN who served over 24 years in the military. The point I'd like to make is the franchise owner needs to train its employees on proper procedures and equality appearances. A sign posting cleaning times, putting a cone outside the door, or having an employee stand outside the door are simple ways to indicate the restroom is closed rather than having someone across the store trying inform clients verbally. Another questionable issue is what business closes it facilities at 6:45 p.m.? Speedway will never get my business again and I pray another Veteran has to encounter a rude employee such as the one at this location. Linda
