Walmart appears to suffer from the same issues I have with Costco: overcapacity of customers. Every time I force myself to go here (for items I cannot find anywhere else in Williston) the place is jam-packed with customers dragging entire families. I don't mind kids and shopping, I sometimes take mine. But this place seems to have just about EVERY customer with kids in tow. The aisles, the checkout, any time you feel like you need a bit of time to browse is crushed under this constant feeling of space-deprivation from screaming, running, ball-kicking or just obnoxious kids all over. That on top of the fact that the sheer number of people shopping in here with huge carts makes for a space issue right away. It seems to tap at some kind of dormant level of claustrophobia of mine. I just can't enjoy shopping here...ever. The parking is also a nightmare of vehicles (mostly over-sized trucks) to dodge and weave while avoiding the rivers of pedestrians everywhere. As I said above, however, I do end up finding small items that I cannot find in other box stores around. I also manage to get better deals. But I do have to suffer making my way through the crowds to find and get to it. My last shopping trip here was a bust as the toy area is just completely depleted of anything good for kids. Maybe they get serious about toys only around the holidays? Not sure but it didn't stand out or produce anything I was looking for this time. read more

Every time I have been to this Walmart it is a mess. Stuff everywhere and blocking isles. It seems to be picked over every time I am here. The employees were unable to help when I asked for help. One told me she was not working yet she was fully dressed in her Walmart outfit. I would recommend shopping else where. read more

Don't ever purchase a protection plan. I bought an 80 dollar phone on black Friday for 20 dollars now the phone is no longer working and I call the protection plan (that I paid for) and they tell me they can not repair or fix the phone and they can only send me a gift card for how much I paid..........HOW IS THAT Supposed TO REPLACE THE PHONE THAT I PAID FOR! That is now 80 dollars . I wouldn't be so mad if the brochure didn't already say my phone would be replaced it says NOTHING about being refunded for what I paid! This is false advertisement and also bad customer service ! I will NEVER buy another phone from this place EVER! and like I told the "supervisor" on the phone social media is a great thing these days! And I will take you down for this! So my recommendation to all you shoppers, GO TO Best Buy. They may be pricey but at least their protection plans are legit ! read more

The place is always overcrowded with product, and filthy. The fish are left to sit in slimy water that you can't even see through. There are 15-20 registers but only 3-4 open at a time. Tonight I waited in line for about 15 min, unloaded most of my stuff on the belt, and the guy closed the register. Then I had to wait another 20 min in another line. when I finally got through checkout, I had a coupon that didn't scan. The clerk tried to pretend it did and put it away with the other coupons. At least give it back to me. Such a waste of my time!! read more

This place is amazing considering that its the only Walmart in the area and that its not a Supercenter. While its not as good as a real Walmart, I wouldn't want to have to try to live in Vermont without it. It would be amazing if this store could be upgraded to be a supercenter with a full grocery department and tire and lube department. I would definitely shop here every week! Check out can be kind of long, but that is expected when they only have half the amount of registers that a typical Walmart has and that it is the ONLY Walmart or store like this around. The customer service desk is very helpful in taking back returned products. They were willing to give me the current selling price of a product that I purchased 3 months earlier. The people that work in the vision center here are fantastic! When I broke my glasses last month they were able to make a new pair of glasses for me within 2 hours. That's pretty good considering that the small, local optometry offices that I called could only help me "if" my prescription was in stock or if I was willing to wait 2-4 weeks. read more

This was a strange one even for Walmart. I was there several months ago, need to get something and it was after 9pm. I looked up on Yelp where the closest one was to my hotel, drove over and walked in. Walked around for a bit and found the isle I needed. Several Walmart employees were back there doing stocking and what not and NEVER once said anything to me. As I picked out the item I needed I then walked to the front where someone finally asked why I was in the store. I told them I was shopping and she said WE'RE closed. But I have to hand it to the manager, he made that lady check me out rather than put everything back. So how I got in when they were closed I have no idea. read more

It was a good day to save Money and live better. Wasn't that busy today. Got a bunch of things I needed two bags 13 items and spent $107.00 not saving money really and not gonna live any better. Just broke in the end... I do how ever have and use the savings catcher app. Which a week ago I saved $3.31 ohhhh.. Lol but it adds up in the end.. I rather shop at Walmart then Kmart or any other over priced outlet any day. They however do need to put more benches outside besides the Lil tiny one they have now. They use to have two large ones inside by the doors but not anymore. Have no clue why not. Its sure great to sit and relax while waiting for cab or bus after hours of shopping... I rate 4 out of 5 stars they would get 5out of 5 if on the busy times have all the registers lanes open besides just 4-5 ... And have to wait up to an hour just to cash out. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THE WILLISTON, VT wally world! 2 weeks ago I saw an item in the store which my nephew would love for xmas, but unfortunately there wasn't any prices around. I delayed picking it up. I just called the store and asked if they had any stock. After waiting 30 minutes on the phone and being transferred to 3 other people all asking if I were looking for items which I was not, I decided to go to the store. 30 Minutes later in the store I went to the back asking about the item. Was told to talk to service at the front of the store. Went to service and asked the young person behind the desk if they had the item, if they had it, where would it be located, and if they didn't have it, when would they expect it next. Needless to say, he remembered me calling just a short while ago, just by the look on his face. He placed a page and after 10 minutes without being able to get anyone in the store to talk to him, he paged the assistant manager to the front of the store. 15 more minutes pass (During this time another customer got in line behind me). The associate I was working with walked to a far corner and spoke to the asst manager (where I couldn't overhear). He told me the asst. manager would not come up to speak to me. He also said the assistant manager hadn't seen the item in quite some time, couldn't tell me where it would be if they had it, and was told "we are getting shipments daily"... unfortunately, not shipments with this item. I wrote a complaint to the store and got an automated response saying I'd be contacted within 3 days. Well, here I am a full week later.... So dissappointed. Retail wasn't like this when I was a kid. If Walmart is paying manager's $5 a year, that's $4.99 too much. read more

I'd like to give this place zero stars. I'm disabled and need to use an electric cart. However, out of every time I've been here, I've been able to use one exactly zero times. If any of them are actually working - and not being used for storing cleaning supplies, etc - they've always been snapped up by someone else. Wake up Walmart! You're missing out on a huge market. Disabled folks need stuff too. This should not be an issue, especially with a place like this with so much revenue! read more

Even by Wal-mart standards this is without a doubt the worst store I've ever been in. The store seems to always be in a perpetual state of chaos. They stock the store in the middle of the day blocking the small, narrow aisles, the shelves are often empty, the selection is terrible, employees are rude and the checkout lines are always understaffed. The store is too small for the volume of freaks who shop there. I'd rather have open-heart surgery than shop here again. read more

Absolutely terrible. The fish tanks had at least 10 dead fish in each of them. Jeez. Would it kill them to take a skimmer to them daily?

Have been shopping here for 14 years and the past few years the service has gone down hill. Empty spaces on shelves, product not replaced.... Expired dairy items in the coolers, rude staff, extremely long lines at checkout. Definitely lacking in customer service!! Anytime we travel we are always amazed at the fact that our local WalMart is the worst one we've shopped at!! read more

The pharmacy here has EXTREMELY courteous and helpful staff! I had a huge issue getting a prescription filled, but they totally owned it and took care of me! I wish more Wal-Mart employees could be like that! read more

I live near Burlington VT but I would gladly travel miles and miles to shop at a Walmart other than the one in Williston and unfortunately, it's the only one in Burlington. The store is dirty, bathrooms disgraceful, the aisles are narrow to begin with and yet they insist on cluttering them more with displays that clearly there isn't room for. I have been back 2 and 3 weeks in a row to find the same shelves still empty of a product I am looking for. The staff is generally rude and inept. Many times I have gotten home only to find that I am missing a bag because the cashier has not turned the bag carousel....too much effort I assume. Bottom line is, staff could care less about customers and management seems to care even less than that. Corporate Walmart should take a little trip to Burlington VT. If this Walmart burned to the ground tomorrow. ...we would only wish for a Target to be built in its place!!!!I. I am only selecting one star because this won't post without a star....and there is no choice for minus stars! read more

I kind of stumbled upon these WalMart reviews and after reading them I can say I totally agree. I live in Winooski and come to this WalMart on a monthly/bi-monthly basis to get some essentials (some of the best deals right)-that's the only reason I put up with this place. The store is hardly ever stocked, especially on a Sunday or Monday. The dressing rooms are filthy. How hard is it for an employee to grab a broom. One time I said "I just wanted to let you know the dressing room floors have dust bunnies and I wanted to mention it that way your products don't get dirty if they fall on the floor." The manager then said "that's not our responsibility another company comes in and they do a bad job." My thoughts-OKAY well why don't you say something to said company or do it yourself? You sell brooms right? The store in general is filthy. As a lot of other people said, you definitely have to wait in line. I believe that they don't have enough employees and hardly any of the checkouts are ever open. Cashiers are tedious, and silently rude (no hello or how are you today). You would think a general manager would read these? They have the MONOPOLY of the area and like other people have said if TARGET were around here I would go there! read more
