As soon as I pull into the parking lot of this walmart, I feel a crazy insane rage begin to take over. (it sucks that there are just some things you can only seem to get at walmart) I have to mentally prepare myself as I head toward the front doors because I know I'm going to have to battle 150 smokers huddled at the front door just to get into the place. Once inside, there is usually a nice man with a cart ready for you, and that's the only star this place gets. The isles are small and the carts are large, you can't move, and you have to fight all the people that drive rascal-carts around, if you get into a cart grid lock with a rascal driving customer, you get nasty glares and dirty comments. I actually had a full on crash with a cart driving customer, and right in front of my young kid, she told me to F OFF and WATCH WHERE THE F YOU'RE GOING! (She didn't say F though, and she's the one that drove into my non-driven-hand-pushed-by-me cart) Maybe it's not just me that this place seems to ignite insane rage. It seems to affect everyone that enters this evil vortex of low prices. It's dirty, it's dingy, the employees at the check out are on their phones, texting or talking with each other, and it's sllloooowwww. The only store I've ever been in at Christmas time, where they have 2 cashiers attempting to check out the mile long lines. I highly suggest Target, about a mile away. read more

Today I visited Westminster Walmart, I noticed an employee as I entered. He asked the young masked woman behind me if she had a mask for her child, couldn't have been more than 3. She complied. After I wiped my cart and was ready to shop two adults without maskes whizzed by. Why were they allowed to enter without a mask? If this and other stores are not going to enforce the rules, we are truly lost. I also heard remarks from the offenders as I completed my shopping, the male was quite proud of himself. I am extremely disappointed in Westminster Walmart! You do know there is a lovely Walmart in Hampstead, about 10 miles away! read more

This Walmart is getting rough. Watched two people sit outside on the curb and shoot of heroin in broad daylight... The aisles are getting smaller it seems and I don't see how they are passing ADA codes as some of them you can't even get a wheelchair down. The staff minus a select few seem so beaten down and never want to help and those that do want to help almost beg you to let them help you in a almost kind of creepy way. Then, when you do let them help you, they have no idea what they are doing... The last time I went to the bathroom there were needles on the floor and I refuse when my baby gets here to ever use that bathroom because God forbid a child let alone someone in flip flops get stuck with some junkies needles. I love Walmart. Nothing like walking into to be greeted by the smiling faces of those around you. While your there, may I suggest beginning your trip at McDonald's. My go to is the quarter pounder with cheese meal. Really fuels you up so you can shop till you drop. Next check out the hilarious novelty tees in the men's section where even I, a woman, find funny T-shirt's that will have me smiling all day long. After that quarter pounder has digested, and you feel the need to exercise, I always go check out the sporting goods section to make myself feel healthier (because it's the thought that counts). When I decide that I am okay and don't need to change my body, I check out the clearance section to find great deals. No joke tho their workout leggings are dope and great quality. You could spend $80 on one pair at lulu lemon OR you can spend $12 and get a Walmart pair with money to spend on essentials like whatever is in the as seen on tv section. read more

Well, I realize complaining about Wally World having bad service is like complaining water is wet but this particular Wal-Mart is not as good as the one in Gettysburg. The employees don't show a lot of signs of original thought, and many of them are more interested in chatting back and forth to each other rather than engaging with a customer. Make sure they bag everything you pay for, because if they forget to hand something over, it's next to impossible to prove you didn't get it. read more

This Walmart store was finally just remodeled, and went from being one of the worst Walmart stores in the area to being probably the nicest, best stocked Non-Supercenter Walmart store I've been to recently. Because of this vast improvement in the quality of this store, it is now far more crowded than it used to be. Perhaps when the new Walmart Supercenter opens in October in nearby Eldersburg, Maryland, the newfound popularity of this formerly crappy Walmart store will be shared with the soon to be a Supercenter Eldersburg Walmart. Overall, four stars easily, and would be five stars if it were a Supercenter. read more

This store is the worst Wal-Mart i have ever seen. I have travelled allot in my ledger and never seen any Deparment store run this poorly. They change to 90%self checkout and then they only allow credit at the checkout that are self operated. So i had to wait in line for a long period of time with all the rest of us cash paying folks. I just returned from shopping at Westminster, MD's Walmart. The store is clean, well-stocked, and a woman who works the floor went out of her way to find a difficult to locate item for me without me asking her to. I make it a point to thank someone who does their job well. I also go to customer service to tell them about employees who are eager to help. A lot of those workers are getting paid minimum wage and if you think you've got things to complain about relating to their performance, some of the people they have to deal with are nasty and mean-spirited, yet they're supposed to deal with everyone's behavior. read more

I wish I could give negative stars! Such a terrible experience every time I go. I ordered something online and just needed to pick it up in the store. The first time I went, after waiting for 10 minutes for help while I saw about 20 people that worked there just walk by without helping, the lady told me I couldn't take my headboard because it was too big for my car. I came back the next day with a friend who has a truck and this time waited 20 minutes. After 10 minutes, I walked to the back and had to get someone myself who then told me they had to get someone else who knew the computer system. I then called the store while standing in it and told them my situation She told me they were 'understaffed'. Eventually, I walked out with my headboard. I won't be returning to WalMart when Target is right down the street. read more

I usually go to a different Walmart vision center but since this location is close to my work I decided to try it out. BIG MISTAKE!! I had to come back three times before the doctor got my prescription right. when I placed my order for lenses they order the wrong prescription so I took it back. Waited two weeks never got a call, I decided to call them and ask if by any chance my order came in. Twice they told me they will call me back and finally when I called again it turns out They never placed my order. So now it has been more than three weeks and I have no lenses and no apologies. read more

I really don't like giving bad reviews but this walmart seriously earns them and then some. I've started avoiding going because I end up leaving with a massive headache. It's dark,depressing,out of date,and small. I've actually been to two Walmarts that I really liked (I know,shocking) which makes this one even more depressing as it's the only choice in Westminster aside from Target for basic home supplies and other non grocery store items. The staff is completely beaten down and unwilling to help with anything. I can't say I blame them though.The lines are so long you almost need to pack a lunch and a drink to wait in them. It's ALWAYS packed yet never fully staffed. The aisles are tiny and made tinier by the jam packed middle of the aisle stands with products on them. You can barely maneuver with a cart. As with most walmarts,the prices are decent and they're usually always fully stocked. I wish they'd tear it down and start over. Also,take the McDonald's out of it next time. The smell of grease and despair whacks you in the face the very nano second you pass through the barely working entry doors. read more

Walmart is Walmart pretty much where ever you go but this one is smaller. I can't remember the last time I have seen a Walmart that wasn't super. They have some frozen foods and grocery items but you can't consider that a grocery store. The one thing I really like about this location is they are heavily stocked with Baltimore ravens items. Prices are moderately low compared to other stores and sites that carry the merchandise. Lines are super long due to limited register lines to begin with which makes for a lot of confusion amongst shoppers and people trying to cash out. I have only one reason to stop here is for Ravens merchandise. read more

I'm a regular customer at this Walmart, I get great help when I can't find what I'm looking for or need to return/exchange something. Is it clean enough to eat off the floor? No, but then I'm not a dog. Are the aisles sometimes blocked by people and carts? Sure, but we would have this store to shop in if they weren't popular with potential customers. Can't find the Walmart or Westminster MD 21157. I do want to say that the Westminster Walmart has an Exceptional Vision Center. I have been to 3 different Eye Doctors at Wilmer in the last 4 months. My vision is changing and I want a good pair of glasses and to know if something bad is happening. I left Wilmer without an understanding of why one eye is suddenly getting worse than the other and a prescription that I did not trust as an tech preformed the exam while my eyes were dilated and I never stopped seeing double. I went to Dr. Alan in the Westminster Walmart who was able to explain what is going on with my eyes, highlight a issue undiscovered at Wilmer, and give me a reliable prescription. Kudos to Dr. Alan for excellent patient education and results!!! In beach terms it is three lifeguards standing on the shore saying, 'yes, the patient is going down about it' and one lifeguard getting in the water and saving the patient. read more

Ive been in customer service for many years and who ever is in charge of the folks working the front lines and customer service should be fired. The older cashiers take pride in thier work i have nothing bad to say about them. The others act like they hate their jobs and God forbid they can actual bother to fold cloths before they put it in a bag. Its like they hire people forced to work there by a judge. But customer service desk is THE WORST the girl that is always there during the day has the personality of a doorknob and acts like its a thrill for her to deny refunds but my complaint today is there cooperate rule that if you return something 3 times in 6 months without a receipt you simply can no longer return. So i asked for the mgr they sent the front line head cashier who was so rude. I was not happy with this rule because i was just changing for size. So i wanted coorporate number She got loud throwing her corporate rules around so when i told her she didnt need to be loud she crumbled up the number and walked to back office lol. They really dont get the point of customer service. I get rules and policy but the way you make a customer happy is by doing it in a positive way. These folks need more training, the other walmarts put them to shame. Ive worked corporate for Walmart for many years. I didnt need her number or for Pete to call back...i got them already. These folks make the fight for higher minimum wages a joke. Do you have a store trainer? The absolute best Walmart I have ever been to. Customer service is so remarkable I could not believe it was a Walmart. I have moved to so many places and for the most part all of them consistently had poor customer service. This one is in a league of its own. I am happy we have moved to Westminster. I will no longer view my trips to Walmart as dreadful. read more

Just recently remodeled and well stocked. The staff is helpful and seem to always be busy with trying to ensure a good shopping experience for the customer. I am in there often and have noticed one employee named Matt who is always cheerful and helpful with customers and his fellow employees. Great job Westminister Walmart and kudos to Matt. read more
