Not very much to say about this grocery store. I come here often because it's close to my house and they usually have decent prices. And other plus is that bags are free whereas in most other places they charge you five cents per bag. This location has a gas station attached so if I want to redeem any of my frequent shoppers points, I can get a discount on gas as well all in one trip. Great store and experience every time we go. We shop here once or twice a week for over 5 years. They always have what we need or want and it's clean, bright, and friendly staff. Shopped the Eldersburg store for more than 20 years, and I'll continue to do so. Good store, but...it's virtually impossible to provide product feedback online, so here I am. Martins recently changed the recipe/ingredients for their fresh Kaiser rolls, and the results have not been positive. Heavy, doughy, chewy, unappealing, about as appetizing as a housebrick. So I'm doing the keto diet and I had an insane craving for butter pecan ice cream after 11pm one night. So a quick google search reveled that Rebel Ice Cream is a company that produces keto friend ice cream AND they offer Butter Pecan flavor as an option!!! OMG!!! So then I look to identify the grocery stores that have it near me and the closest one just happened to be Martin's (was over an hour away - coming from DC). I told my husband and he was game so we commenced to begin our hour+ trip to Martin's. Now, I must say that Martin's would've never been on our radar. We had never heard of it until that night and it's no where close to our home, but a little after midnight one night, we found ourself in the middle of Martin's perusing through their aisles. We were on a mission that night, so our experience at Martin's was limited to searching for the ice cream aisle, but while there we noticed that the facility was extremely clean and very well organized. We were in-and-out in less than 10 minutes. And let me tell you, it was worth the wait! The Butter Pecan ice cream was well worth the 2+ hour drive and I have Martin's to thank for helping me with my late night craving and me not cheating on my diet! If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend stopping by there. From what I saw in the short time that we were there, it seems to be a pretty solid store! read more

I can no longer drive so I use the pickup for my wife and 90% of the time, there are items not found. This is for coffee, bread and some other items. Also, they have a Kosher isle and they changed some of the things I have purchased in the past they no longer carry. Manischewitz Gefilte fish in the jelly, now they only carry it in water which taste nasty. read more

As much as I do love the quality and customer service as well as the fact I have been enjoying the flashfood app. However today is the second time they have forgotten items I ordered, now they were inexpensive items but both lead to me having to change my dinner plans because I didn't have enough food which was disappointing. I hope in the future they get better training and make sure to double check what they package. read more

A review Purely on the Gas station........Don't bother with the rewards card it's completely useless. No matter how many times you entree your membership number it never works. What is the purpose of shopping at martins if you can't user your savings. So for that reason I would never shop at Martins. I would shout for grocery's at a gas station or pharmacy before shipping at Martins. read more

I ordered a cupcake cake for my son's Baptism. A simple cross cake. It looks absolutely horrible.

The food all around is good quality. Vitamins are double the price of Walmart/Target. It was my weekly go to grocery store until more than one employee was rude to me. I have stopped shopping at Martin's for this reason. Don't be surprised if you have to complain to a manager and they don't seem concerned either. We tried several grocery stores before finally decided that this one will be our preferred store. Not the closest to our home but it well worth the extra driving time. Well lit. Well stoked. Reasonable price. If you like to cook from scratch this is the place to go. The "Easy Scan" makes shopping faster and convenient. read more

Great store. Crappy carts. Martin's has decent produce, deli, meat and seafood departments. Prices are a little bit on the expensive side. The store is usually pretty clean, and stock is always fresh. Overall, a very clean and modern store. So I can't understand why their shopping carts are as banged-up and squeaky as they are. Try finding a cart there with 4 good wheels that all touch the floor, that won't pull to one side, or squeal like Ned Beatty on a canoe trip. Edit: 18 months later and their carts are worse than ever. I went there yesterday and had to pull 2 carts out before finding one whose wheels weren't damaged. Store cleanliness isn't what it used to be, either. Dropping my opinion to 3 stars. read more

Their chicken has a funky smell. Their deli is the best in town, but it's so slow. They never have more than two working and one does the kiosk orders while the other helps in person. Some of the people are nice, it's bizarre that it's always the teens who are nice. The older people are usually fairly rude. Way more expensive than Aldi next door and Walmart, which has its own set of problems. read more

Today I went to finish my Thanksgiving shopping. I was waiting in the cashier line and the woman in front of me couldn't afford a turkey for the holiday. She brought one up to the cashier Bonnie and was so hoping she would make her 400 points to get her free turkey with the purchase she was making. She was short and out of money. Now comes Bonnie your cashier with a heart of gold. I offered to get the woman the turkey with my points but Bonnie jumped in and out of her own money bought that turkey for this woman. The woman and I were in tears. Such an incredible act of kindness. Bonnie said to me when the woman left I am blessed with two children five grandchildren and even though I may not be rich i'm not poor. I'd rather eat a hot dog then see someone not have a turkey for Thanksgiving. I left the store in tears. What an incredible act of kindness and generosity. I hope you do something for her as I have told almost every person I have met and posted this on every site I could find. Thank you for hiring someone like Bonnie in your store. She really restored my faith in human kindness. Bravo Martins in Eldersburg MD for having such an incredible associate making every customer feel so special. This is a excellent grocery store , the customer service is actually responsive and does a excellent job of keeping the check out lines short but what I like best about this store is the Sea Food department, the fish is fresh and they always make an effort to find the best pieces. They will special order if necessary and take pride in their product . read more

Pharmacy put my wife's prescription and my dog's prescription in the same bag with no notification that they had done that. In a rush, thinking that this was just my dog's prescription, I ended up giving my dog my wife's prescription. $700 and a 24 hour vet stay later, my dog managed to survive. While discussing this with my vet she informed me that the same pharmacy had done the same thing with her mother and her dog's prescription, only this time her mother took her dog's prescription and had to be rushed to the emergency room. Neither the pharmacy, the store, nor their claims department sees anything wrong with the way things are done there despite 2 separate incidents revolving around the same problem. read more

We have been shopping at Martin's for over 20 yrs. We moved with them when they built the new store and expanded their inventory to include more specialty foods. They have the best deals usually, the friendliest and most helpful staff, and are always well stocked. If you can't find something, just ask, and they cheerfully assist you. The deli has 2 ways of ordering, take a number and wait for your turn, or the keosh where you can electronically submit your deli order, and will be called when your order is ready. I don't mind the first option, and enjoy the human interaction. They have floater staff to pitch in where needed, which is always nice. The employees do an excellent job, and we know many by their first names. Highly recommend this store for your grocery needs. read more

You're not going to find a better grocery in the area. They are better managed. The place is always stocked. The produce is culled, so you get fresh product. The prices aren't always the lowest,but overall they seem competitive. The personnel from the cart person to the cashier are professional. Sorry... No negative stuff. read more

Martins is the best grocery store to ever exist in the history of grocery stores. Anything from the bakery is sinfully delicious. Produce is generally better than even larger grocery stores like Harris Teeter and Wegmans. Meats, seafood, and deli staff are nice and the food is well-priced and good quality. Wide selection of foodstuffs. Staff is always nice. They have a lounge, a coffee bar, and a children's center so you don't have to shop with your kid. They also have a "checkout as you shop" option, where you get a cool scanning gun, which totally brings out the kid in me. Prices are generally cheaper than other places too. Just don't go on a Sunday morning unless you want to be trampled, it gets CRAZY busy on Sundays. read more

I like this grocery store. Good organic/all-natural section. And they have my favourite Irish tea - which I've ever ony been able to find at Wegmans. The bathrooms are cleaner than most grocery stoes (but still could be kept cleaner.) The staff are always pleasant and helpful. I really like the gas rewards, too. read more

I agree with all of Shane F. comments. I will add that the staff in the various departments also are helpful and available to help you. The only thing keeping me from giving them a 5 is that they don't do a good job monitoring- or they don't care about- the deli and checkout crowds. Their downfall seems to be an unwillingness or lack of concern on the part of the checkout manager to open enough full service lanes. They have the extra checkout lanes and also seem to have the folks to operate these lanes- as a few employees are often walking around at the end of the checkout lanes aimlessly or helping with bagging until the checkout managers say "open up". "Open up when 3 or more are waiting to check out" is not in force here. DItto with the deli. They typically also have 2 or more extra employees that are often aimlessly preoccupied behind the deli leaving scales and meat/cheese cutters vacant and customers waiting read more
