Since we were only able to catch a couple of dozen small crawfish, we decided to go to Klein's to buy two pounds of shrimp to add to the mix. I looked at what they had, a huge pile of grey shelled shrimp and a smaller amount of pink shrimp. I told him I wanted two pounds of the grey, but the fellow said that the pink were sweeter. I asked if they were cooked, and he said no, they were warm water shrimp. Hmmmm. I should have stuck with my instincts. Anyway, I put them in the fridge when I got home, got the pot boiling with tasty spices, and went to add the shrimp. The smell made me gag. I couldn't believe it. The bag was filled with slimy, rotten shrimp. Nasty. I put them in the freezer and we had a disappointing boil. :-( When I returned them, there was no problem. The customer service woman apologized and gave me my money back. I feel bad for all the people that were sold that rotting shrimp just so the seafood man could clear the stock. I guess they were counting on some folks not returning it. Gross.

Roseda Farms offers very high quality, delicious beef products. Prime is Prime, no mystery (Costco has their own designation for Prime). Very good price/value relationship.

Upon tasting, our ribs were good: perfectly seasoned and fresh; the wings were rotisserie roasted and were good as well; the cake was just ok for us fresh with coconut flakes held on by white buttercream; the strawberry cheesecake was just ok; the glazed nuts were good as well.
