The self checkout situation at this location is a recurring issue -- out of all the stations available, only about 3 are ever actually working at any given time, which seems to just be the norm here rather than an exception. When I do come in, I keep it simple -- zip in, grab what I need, and zip out before I get pulled into the Walmart vortex of buying things I didn't come for. The selection is what you'd expect, broad enough to cover most needs in one stop. Just don't count on a fast self checkout experience unless you get lucky with the timing. read more

The worst Walmart ever. Dealing with Joyce who's is the customer service manager is the worst experience ever. After dealing with her I'm convinced that she's a radist who doesn't like Latinos. The fact that she looked at me up and down and insinuated that I was lying about my purchase (in front of my family) was humiliating and frustrating. I have nothing to gain from lying. All I wanted to do was return a vaccum that I had purchased a few days ago for another one (same brand and model) that came with a charger. The manager of the whole store (black female with dreaded hair, whose name started with a C) was of no help. After complaint to her about my encounter with Joyce, she stated that calling the 1-800 number will only prompt The corporate office to forward the complaint to her. In other words, my complaint Will just fall on deaf ears. She also stated that what I'm not going to do is make this a racial issue. Especially after I told her that the white couple and the black couples were treated fairly. It's said that the maltreatment from this place is permitted by the cooperate office. When it comes to discounts Walmart is God. When it comes to discount fashion, Target is dragging Walmart threw the mud but, this old Walmart got a facelift. Not a major one but, enough of one to get your attention. It dropped the old blue exterior for the Monochromatic Tan/Sand look. As for the interior, it rocks the optic blue look. Which can kinda make your eyes hurt because it seems really Bright!!! Everything else about the store it remains the same. Still big, still cheap, forever Walmart. The greeters have always had nice attitudes as well as the floor crew. The aisles are really wide. So even if you're big or pretty damn big, you don't feel squeezed. My husband and I just came back from your store #1717 11930 Acton Ln, Waldorf, MD 20601. We made an appointment online this morning to get our COVID vaccines for today @ 1:20 PM & 1:40 pm. These times were given to us via the Walmart site as what was available. We both took off of work and arrived at the pharmacy on time @ 1:20 pm to get out vaccines. Upon arrival, we were told by one of the employees working the pharmacy counter that although we had an appointment at @1:20pm they are not going to honor it because they close between 1:30 pm - 2:00 pm. He then asked us if we could come back at 2 pm. We said ok and waited in the store for 40 minutes until 2 pm. At 2 pm, we went to the door that you're supposed to knock on to get the vaccine, and the woman at the pharmacy counter told us that we needed to get in line with the rest of the customers picking up prescriptions, so we did. Then the same lady told everyone that was in line to move to the next aisle over because the line was in the next aisle over. We all moved. Then a gentleman who was behind the counter asked us if we had an appointment, I told him yes. He said that we need to get in another line. We get in the other line, but at this point, another 10-15 minutes has passed and the person in front of us that was picking up their prescription was having problems and we felt like we were getting the runaround. On top of that, it didn't feel like a good experience. There was so much confusion, that we didn't feel comfortable receiving the vaccine from this store. We ended up returning back to work late and overall wasted our time. All in all, this was a terribly frustrating experience and they didn't even acknowledge us or our appointment. Also, it would be helpful for the site to mention that that store does not do vaccinations between 1:30-2 pm, or at least have your site make it so it doesn't share those times with your customers. read more

This was the worst ever experience at Walmart. If you are sitting around not on break and doing nothing then there is an issue. My mother and I went to Walmart to return pictures and the photo lab was horrible. When we got back there we were told that they couldn't do anything. When we got to customer service they had to got to the photo lab and do it herself, even though she wasn't working in that section. The photo lab works stood there looking like fools. I have shopped here over Twenty -five years.Nicest people ever from Cashiers to Car department.The Electronics people are amazing!The Shoe department is also very nice and well stocked. I get amazing customer service in Camping /sports also. I am impressed how they really try to keep up milk and frozen stock! Carts done often and parking lot clean!The Eye glass place friendly. I may not say this enough but staff have been there many years and work so very hard to load shelves and are super nice to customers. For volume they try really hard so Ladies give them a break and help be neater in bathrooms.My only regret is they do not sell tires or install,them.Health and beauty is also great they put out lots of stock to keep up but sometimes run low but that is to be expected Great at back to school and holiday decorations displays .They really try for space they have!Good laundry department for laundry products.All round great store.Oh also have a good men's clothing and sock /underwear department!I Find my light bulbs for car here! read more

Not the best experience I've had and definitely not the best training throughout the departments of store.

I had the opportunity to visit this staple of American life yesterday, while running some errands in Waldorf. Walmart is the retailer we all love to hate, specifically because of the misguided methods we regularly hear about in the media about how the company manages it's workforce, and because of the consistently poor standard of customer service we tend to experience in many of these stores. When it comes to LONG queues, clueless stockers, disdainful customer service reps, and some of the weirdest and disturbed patrons, Walmart definitively takes the biscuit. On this occasion however, my visit to Walmart INSIDE was...average. It was normal. The store aisles and shelves were tidy and organized. Employees were milling about scanning product and reading through print outs and checking people in short queues. Not one was randomly hanging around doing eff-all squared. I wandered through the store purposely looking for coolant and after asking two employees for the automotive section, I found it myself. One of the lads I asked didn't seem to realize his store sold motor oil, coolant, air filters etc. The other young chap simply didn't appear to understand the word "automotive" and literally accompanied his blank expression with a head-scratch. Anyway, away I went to fetch my coolant, and then some bottled water. On the way to the tills I did note that the store was actually in great condition. No merchandise spilling on the floor or strewn halfway off the shelves as if organized by some drunken associate; displays were clean and tidy; the floors were swept and shiny; and the noise pollution was down to a minimal (no bleating children or obnoxious men/women shouting into their Bluetooth headsets). I did encounter several women of different makes and models bloody blocking aisles with their mindless habit of standing in the middle of the corridor with their cart angled so that you had to specifically ask them to please let you through or just go around altogether. But that is standard at almost any Walmart. It then struck me that I had ventured into this store on a random Wednesday and at late morning. I assumed that I had been lucky in visiting when I did. Happy days - I got a normal, average experience at a Walmart. OUTSIDE the store however was the usual pick-and-mix cast off the Jerry Springer show who bring their problems to a Walmart parking lot and insist on sharing with the rest of society. Several people sat in their cars blasting their music at obnoxiously high decibels because they want you to forcibly appreciate their great musical tastes - even a big rotund fellow on a motorcycle was jamming out; angry-looking people raging and swearing at each other over random semi-private issues; rough-looking members of the local community standing around in front of the store mean-mugging everyone approaching the front doors as if they're going to spontaneously combust and start a fight; employees in headphones roughly pushing around carts and casually contorting them around parked cars; dodgy-looking lads shifting around nervously and walking in-between cars and looking around furtively; and people parked in the middle of lanes just sat there possibly waiting for Christmas or for a parked car to suddenly vacate a space. Although I am usually internally doing the "happy dance" every time I drive away from the parallel universe that is your average Walmart, on this visit, I was overall pleased with the quality of the store INSIDE. If I do return here it will definitely be on a Wednesday and late morning. In the meantime, take care of yourselves, and each other. read more

There is a knack to shopping at Walmart, specifically this location and I'm going to share it with all of you. Get there first thing in the morning if you can. I believe they open at 6am. If ever I need to shop at Walmart, I am in by no later than 8:30am and out no later than 10am and 10am is pushing it. It's wonderful that time of morning. There are no lines or massive crowds. I gave this particular location 5 stars, simply because I get there early. I will NEVER and have NEVER visited a Walmart after 10am on weekends, the first of the month or any time prior to a holiday or on a holiday. Visited the Auto Care Center for a balance & pressure check in Dec 2015. The job was completed but the Service guy broke my wheel lock while re-installing my tires. I asked him to removed the wheel lock from the lug nut that was on my tire and he said "I can't, we don't have the tool needed to remove a stripped wheel lock." (REALLY) He told me to go to the nearest tire shop, have them remove it, pay for it, come back with the receipt, and they would reimburse me. Put the note on the receipt and sent me on my way. What kind of business messes up their work & doesn't have the means to correct their wrong?????? What he should have done is called the shop, made arrangements for me to be able to drive up, get the wheel lock , removed, and do the work needed there since I wouldn't be able to drive with a missing lug nut (as I was told). Seriously there are crazy problems. They have about 50 TVs out on the shelf but none of them in the back. And not because they ran out, they just don't stock them anymore but refuse to take them off the shelf. Then they want me to run all over Southern MD looking for the tv.
