Worst Walmart EVER!!!! Actually all the Walmarts I have been to in the DMV area have been crap, but this by far is the worst. When I lived in PA I loved Walmart because it was clean, well organized, and the customer service was fast and friendly. This Walmart is the complete opposite and I dread going to it. The place is dirty and disorganized, the staff is rude and check out is sooooooo slow. You will be in line for 30 minutes to an hour almost. I am dead serious. I had to tell one woman who was checking me out to get off the phone and ring me up please and she tried to get an attitude with me. I had to stop getting my prescriptions filled at this place, because they were never ready even though I would order them hours to a day in advance. The only reason why I still go to this Walmart for basic household goods is because the prices are so low. If I can't make it to the store between 6:00 am - 7:00 am before I go to work to avoid the 30 minute - 1 hour line wait I just suck it up and go to Safeway or CVS after work. So, if you can't get in there early don't even bother. So not worth the aggravation. Oh, and their produce looks nasty. Just don't do it to yourself. This is a fake Super Walmart. read more

This is a wonderful store the employees work so hard to make sure the customers have a great experience ...it's the customers that are rude to the employees, then go and complain on the person so they can get something for free .. I made the mistake of purchasing tires online and having them delivered here. No one would answer the phone to tell me the hours for the tire shop. I picked up the tires. I gave them one more try, drove to get the tires put on. Car was overheating on the way and was leaking radiator fluid after the hour drive. They turned me away. They said it was too dangerous to have fluids from a car in their garage. You'll definitely be treated like a customer who can't afford to go to a real garage by their arrogant and incompetent staff. I am not exactly sure why no matter where I go I somehow manage to still end up at Walmart.This walmart however makes me feel a lot better than the Walmart in my area.This walmart has a nail salon in it and a McDonald's around like isn't that considered unsanitary but maybe that's just me.The aisles are soo confusing and the items are consistently misplaced have they ever heard of shop back!? After running around trying to find things because the staff at Walmart never seems to know what they have or where it would be I get it I finally make way to a register.To add insult to injury the cashier was super slow but she was not only chatting with the customer they had but also examining every single item closely had a comment about everything.When it was finally my turn I could not even get a simple hello.I really will consciously be avoiding Walmart like the plague.Always a pitiful experience! read more

I went in the aquatics section and the fish are in terrible condition! There were betta fish stacked on top of each other with filthy water. Sick fish practically on their last breath in 2 month old water full of feces. I saw 2 containers with 2 fish in each fighting each other. I asked the worker why are these fish in the same container and he gave me a bullshit answer saying they came that way. Yea ok. Why do you not monitor the fish and clean their water?? You have a sink right there why don't you use it? Who hired you?? I will be reporting this and taking a video the next time I visit there and i'm posting it all over social media to get word across. The fish in the tanks are not in good condition either. Dead fish stuck in the filters. The tanks are not clean! Walmart are selling sick fish for profit. This is unacceptable and cruel. read more

This place is not a good representation of WalMart. I went to get a Verizon broadband mobile hotspot service. I asked the cashier in the electronics section and she pointed me to the correct aisle. I found the unit I was looking for and went back to the cashier. I asked her is that unit a pretty good unit as far as reliability and she said yeah but we don't have any cards for those. I said ok so I won't be able to use it then. She said you can buy it but you gotta go to some other store to get the card. I said that doesn't make sense to buy the unit and not be able to use it. I asked when do you think you guys will get some more in and of course she said I don't know we haven't gotten any in for weeks. What kinda place has items for sale but not the extra to finish it. That's like having a store filled with battery operated merchandise and not having batteries, and not knowing when or if they will come. Where do they find these people? read more

I really wish I had just gone to the one in Laplata which is so much better. All I needed was to pick up a photo which I had paid for online. I got the email that it was ready so I headed over to the location. When I went to pick up the photo, there was no one there in the photo department to assist me. Finally an employee who was a pleasant enough young lady tried to find someone to help me to little avail. I ended up waiting 20 minutes for assistance for what really should have been a 5 minute process. The first young lady who assisted me told me that employees get reprimanded for helping customers if they are on break. A second employee said the same thing. This is such a ridiculous practice and clearly reflects very poor management. The store is in utter disarray with clutter in every direction. I'm glad I was finally able to get my photo but I'll keep going to Laplata if I just have to go to Walmart. Target is so much better. read more

On November 17th I went to the Walmart store 1717 @11930 Acton Ln, Waldorf, MD 20601 to purchase a Microsoft Xbox One S 1TB Minecraft Bundle. Your ad stated it was for $199.00 price for in-store purchase only and that is was available at the above mentioned store. When I got there I talked to an associate Nicholas. He stated that they didn't have it and that even if they did, it was a black Friday deal. Which was not mentioned in the ad. Then I asked to speak to a manager. The manager's name was Vera, she did say they did have the bundle but it was a Black Friday sale. I showed her the ad and I pointed out that no where in the ad did it state it was a black Friday deal. She was rude and very unprofessional. After trying to get my point across and getting no where with Vera. I left the store, upon walking away I could hear Vera and Nicholas talking about me and my boyfriend and making fun of us. I was in retail for a number of years and I would never treat a customer the way that Vera treated me. read more

I work in the service industry and I give every crappy Walmart a 5-star ONLY for the employees. Walmart is a terrible company that significantly underpays their employees and requires a lot out of them. We all know we only shop there because of their cheap prices. However, I have a huge issues with nasty entitled customers on here complaining about customer service. You are not better than these employees and until you work like they do for this crappy company your judgements are entitled and unfounded. You do not get top notch service for cheap prices. That is your entitlement. That is not how quality stuff works. My gripe is how crappy Walmart as a brand is and how crappy the customers are. I have never worked for Walmart and will never but I do work for service industry companies where I wish I could say to the company and to its guests f you and get over yourselves. You may have been privileged to not have to work jobs like these but in a capitalist society you entitled a fs NEED people to work these jobs in order to provide you with such cheap prices. Have respect for these people and when you do...their attitudes will change. Again, this review is not for Walmart. All Walmart's for the company get NGEATIVE stars. You're only rich because you take advantage of people...that's the capitalist way. I give 5-stars for EVERY Walmart employee who has to deal with a crappy company and entitled customers. Ashamed to say I like Walmart after being in this store.Not even slightly friendly! Tried to send $ from there.The cashiers nail were at least 4 inches long.Disgusting in the work place for many reason. When the person I sent $ to tried to pick up the $,she was told even thou she had the right receivers name the right address and the # security code she could not retrieve the $. The sender name was not correct. I had to fill out a form to send this money.I know my name!! Turns out my last name was spelled wrong .The first letter starts with a K it was input with a L.. Simple typo,that inconvenienced me and the receiver. Upon thinking about it, K and L are right next to each other on a key pad. Wow, worst experience ever to obtain info about a product! Waldorf, MD. Wal Mart. I am and always have been a benefit of the doubt type a guy. Not here, called about a product. I was hung up on three times. Twice on the first ring after I had established with associate what I wanted. Not to mention one more time the call must have timed out after 5 1/2 minutes and ended mysteriously. My final call was for the Store Manager. I would make sure I would go to the Walmart Optical shop in La Plata as when I was ordering glasses I was not asked the very basics and had to be redone at La Plata. I was impressed how the Optical Shop resolved a problem they had not initiated. This walmart is the worst I've seen! It's very very disorganized. I order a canvas picture Monday morning that is suppose to be ready same day. It wasn't ready when it was suppose to be, came back tuesday lady said it didn't go through and to come back in an hour, well came back today and it still hasn't been done! I have worn eyeglasses and/or contact lenses for the last 50 years. I'm an attorney and I take my vision seriously. Without a doubt, Walmart has provided the absolute worst professional and customer service I have ever encountered. First, the optometrist lists the price for an eye exam as ranging between $59 and $129. I wear eyeglasses with progressive lenses and multifocal contact lenses, so I expected to pay the maximum exam fee of $129. After the exam, I was told that I have small pupils and the optometrist would have to dilate my eyes to examine them internally and that would be another $30 on top of the $129 exam fee. I was annoyed, but paid the fee. Of course I have never been told my pupils made my eyes impossible to examine without dilatation. Next, I noticed, that my "Add" or reading prescription for my progressive eyeglass lenses was incorrect. I questioned the optometrist about it and was told that she had simply selected the "Add" value that was appropriate for my age without testing my ability to read using that prescription or comparing it to my existing eyeglasses. After I suggested she test my vision, she did so and adjusted the prescription appropriately. Next I noticed my prescriptions (eyeglasses and contact lenses) expired one year after the exam date. The exam was performed in Maryland and Maryland law requires a prescription that expires no earlier than two years after the exam date unless there are extenuating circumstances. I informed the optometrist of the legal requirement and the expiration date was adjusted accordingly. The optometrists claimed to be unaware of the laws pertaining to their practice. Last, but certainly not least, I ordered my new contact lenses online from Walmart. I was informed via email that the lenses were in stock and I should receive them in 3-5 business days. After eight business days I contacted Walmart and they were completely unaware that the lenses had not been shipped to me. They blamed their shipping department and said they would expedite the shipping. Today, four days after the shipping ostensibly was expedited, I still have not received the contact lenses. I contacted Walmart via telephone today and was told I could expect to receive the lenses in another 3-5 days. I will never do business with Walmart Vision Center again. read more

Greeter was nice. Couldn't find an electric can opener, but grabbed 2 items and headed to the SPEEDY 10 ITEM check out lane. A couple in front of me with a loaded grocery cart, told the gal there were two of them, so they qualified! Those other 6 in line with me, laughed, until 20 minutes and 35 items later, plus 2 price checks and a coupon problem, the couple were still unloaded and unpaid. I left the line to speak with the manager, and she reacted harshly....to ME! She said that their cashiers can SUGGEST overloaded carts go to a different lane, but not demand it, and SO BE IT. This Walmart is an appalling dump heap of humanity. Good luck finding someone who works here and knows anything or cares anything about the quality of work they do. Due to my previous disastrous experiences, I've pretty much quit going here (thank you, Amazon Prime). However, I was recently in a pinch and placed an order for photo pints online and paid in advance. All that was necessary was to go in the store and pick them up. Easy, right? Well, the photo pickup is ingeniously at the same counter with online merchandise order pickup. So, 4 days before Christmas and Walmart has one shiftless individual working that area. There was a line a dozen people long and the single worker behind the counter looked to be taking as long as she could to help as few people as possible. After 5 minutes of waiting she still had not moved one customer through the line. I decided Walmart could keep my $3 and left without getting my photos. Add to that, the store always looks like a turd hurricane just blew through. I know it's Walmart, but come on, this place takes sloppy to a whole new level. The only redeeming quality is that they have self checkout, which minimizes your interaction with their incompetent and indifferent staff. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime. read more

My husband ordered something online to be delivered to the La Plata location. The status online said it could be picked up 8:00 AM on 11/26/16. We called and they said the order hasn't been pulled it will be ready 11/27/16 at 8:00 AM. We called and they couldn't give us a status. We went to the Waldorf location and they had the item we needed. It was over $60.00 and the online price was about $39.00 on their website. We went out to the parking lot placed the order online for the Waldorf store. We called Walmart to cancel the La Plata order. We checked and they cancelled the wrong order. They cancelled the one we just place. We called back and they fixed it. I called Waldorf to check the status since I knew they had 2 of the items sitting there. They couldn't give us a status. Oh and they cut me off prior to that. I called corporate. The woman said can I put you on hold and check the status and then she cut me off. I spend a lot of money in Walmart but I think I will be finding another store to shop in. The Walmart in Waldorf is always dirty and has long lines. The one in La Plata isn't quite as bad but they also have long lines. A lot of the employees are very rude and not very helpful at either location. Sometimes if they are standing in the way just talking to each other they act like it is a problem when you say excuse me so you can get through. I am so far beyond angry!!!! read more
