While I love technology - I'm as skeptical as the next person of it (particularly since store inventories are only as good as someone using the scanner thingy) so when I saw the web site said this store had it - I picked up the phone just to make sure they did before driving 2 hrs to get it. The friendly person I spoke with assured me it was in stock and when I finally got to the store he'd left a note for the people covering that department that I was on my way for the item. I'm not sure I'll be back out this way anytime soon - but I appreciate the excellent customer service I received and that the store was very neat and orderly (unlike many of the ones closer to me).

Unfortunately, he responded in a way that felt dismissive and rude. When I made a light comment about a shirt color, he responded with a smart remark that came off as unprofessional. I understand that stocking can be a demanding task, but I believe all staff interacting with customers--whether directly or indirectly--should be courteous. His attitude made me feel like I was bothering him just for asking a question, which left a very negative impression. I enjoy shopping at this Target and usually have positive experiences, but this interaction was disappointing. It is managed by the Simon Property Group that manages many malls across the country. The mall is home to over 120 stores and has Dick's Sporting Goods, J. C. Penney, Kohl's, Macy's, and Macy's Home Store. as it anchors. I visited this mall on a Thursday night in mid-December and it was. pretty empty. Santa Claus was there though. What stuck out to me the most about the mall was how clean it was. It was very clean and updated. It had a play area for kids and you will find stores such as Yankee Candle, Bath & Body Works, GameStop, Build a Bear, Foot Locker, Journey, Hot Topic, Spencer's, The Children's Place, Pandora, Zales, Finish Line, Claires, Sip and Paint and Victoria's Secret. There is also an AMC movie theater, a selfie museum and post office there too. It should be noted that the Charles County Government plans on opening a Sports and Wellness complex in the old Sears location very soon. The opening date has not been announced yet. In addition to a vistit from Santa the mall hosts the Easter Bunny, Financial Workshop for Children, Animal Shelter Pet Adoptions, Maryland Kids in Safety Seats event, Game nights and hiring events. You will find a fair selection of eateries that feature America's Best Wings, Charley's, Auntie Annes, Sabarro, Ocean Blue Grill, Jeff's Burgers, Haagen-Dazs, Asian Chao and Cinnabon. I will admit that the mall has a well documented history of thefts, and violent acts including shootings and stabbings, but I did not feel unsafe during my visit. In a time when malls are dying, I like this one. It is easily accessible (by car and public transit), has all my favorite mall stores and eateries and is very clean and updated.
