This visit I was returning merchandise, but found a really cute clutch on sale for $7.99 and a random pack of Kleenex 8 pack pocket tissue for 2 bucks. The men's section looked fully stocked and had a much better selection of shoes than women's. The store was packed with merchandise for the most part. They have a really nice plus size section. They need help in the dress department. They have a small home-goods section which some cool pieces. The clearance rack was full, with an abundance of mostly boring sweaters. They entice you with candy and sweets in the check out line. There was only one cashier working the register, but she was quick and efficient. Security is very active at this location, as stated in previous reviews. My only complaint is that it's located in a super, dicey area of town, be vigilant. Not a place I would go often, but definitely a hidden gem.....during daylight hours.

I haven't been to Forman Mills since college (I'm not telling you how long ago that was. Mind your…read morebusiness... :). ) Back then, it was a great place to get cute, disposable clothes for cheap. It was basically lying Shein, before Shein was Shein. I didn't even know they were still around, but when I passed this one, I figured I'd stop and check it out. It certainly has the same minimalist look that I remember so well. Ahhhh...nostalgia. I was looking for a few lightweight tank tops and t-shirts for an upcoming vacation. Nothing fancy. Something colorful, breathable, lightweight, and disposable. I found a number of things that fit the bill, and even found items from a few brands I recognized, including New York and Company. I eventually headed towards the fitting room, only to find it blocked off with a sign saying it was temporarily closed. I had to chat with one of the cashiers and she told me that the fitting rooms are actually closed permanently. Since Forman Mills was bought by Shoppers World, they notified the employees that effective immediately, they were to permanently close both the fitting rooms and the restrooms. I don't know if this is because of rampant theft or what, there are massive signs hanging from the ceiling directing customers to both the fitting room and the restroom, and that neither of them are available to the public. And it's especially callous that only employees are allowed to use the restroom. There are more concerned about their inventory than they are about offering a common courtesy to customers. Fortunately, their return policy allows for returns within 30 days with the tags on in a receipt. So I was able to buy the items I was interested in, keep what worked, and return what didn't. Definitely not an ideal process and I could see how a lot of customers just wouldn't be bothered. Fortunately for them I had time that day. The cashiers themselves have no sense of urgency whatsoever. They also don't know how to prioritize time. After waiting in a short line for an exceedingly long period of time, I placed my items on the counter for checkout, only to find that the cashier has decided to move hangers to the rack and do some other things to tidy up her area after having us waiting for so long. The counter space was large enough that she did not need to do those things right away and she could have easily done them when the line died down. When I returned to the store to return the items I had purchased, the same cashier and another of colleagues were leaning against a piece of furniture behind the counter having a casual conversation while there were people waiting in line. There are people waiting to check out and these folks are looking right at them and continuing their conversation. Unacceptable. I walk over to the customer service line and get the nastiest look from someone who are later found out was one of the managers. She never acknowledge me never spoke, never said "Hey I'm helping another customer I'll be with you in a second". Just looked at me like I was ruining her day. After an impossibly long time, she finally acknowledged me with "What do you need?" I told her I'm here to make a return. She directed me to the next cash register over and was nasty and rude the entire time. I immediately reported that experience to management because someone who behaves that way should not be customer facing, and should definitely not be a manager. Aside from rude and unhelpful cashiers, I also hate how they damage the clothes Well inserting the tags. The original manufacturers put the tags under the arms or somewhere thicker that won't leave holes. However the staff here put them in the thinnest part of the garment, which leaves conspicuous holes. I don't know if they do this on purpose but it ruins a perfectly good garment. And regardless of how much we're paying for the garments, we deserve to receive them undamaged.

To my surprise I found a lot of nice selections! I took 6 items to the dressing room to try on, and the woman there was very friendly! AND, I left with all 6 items! WINNING. I did notice they didn't have a very large selection of furniture, but I can't even recall a furniture purchase I've made at a TJ Maxx. I just like to look at what they have to get ideas. Checkout was quick. I once again declined to offer to 'save 10% on my purchase,' but it wasn't a problem. I also like that I can have my receipt emailed to me because... by now they know my email address. I don't know if that's good or bad. Check THIS ONE out!

When I saw the store front of this place from a distance, I wanted to jump the curb, drive through the cars and park inside the store. I didn't because I know this behavior is shunned upon, but I sure wanted to! This location has a great variety of items including cosmetics, beauty items, accessories, clothing, shoes and more. I must admit the lines are long but that's also due to Covid restrictions so I won't complain. It's well worth the wait for the variety and quality of items found. I got a pair of shoes that were originally $150 for 70 bucks! I actually looked them up online because I wasn't familiar with the brand and boom, $150 online! They're so comfy (see pictured). I also appreciate that the price sticker comes off smoothly. In the past I've needed hired staff to get the sticky stuff off from the tape!! Lol I also appreciate their line of Philosophy Beauty/ Bath items. I am definitely a Nordstrom Rack Snob and I can't wait to return back! This location is now in my Top 2!

I STILL have my men's satchel briefcase from college. Back then the leathers were super supple buffalo hides. I also still have a checkbook holder and a few other zippered pouches and such that I no longer use. Today's Coach isn't nearly as nice, especially the men's line. Around 2000, the company shifted its offerings from simply designed, neutral-toned leather purses to bags made of mixed materials ― that is, leather paired with canvas or nylon ― available in an array of colors and logo prints. Simply put, in order to keep up with "trends" they started selling crap. Called the Tyson's store last year to ask about having the straps replaced on my briefcase and was told that they didn't even repair bags (outside of warranty) anymore. Turns out that wasn't exactly correct since I just found a shipping and repair label on their website. Hmmm.... I guess the person I spoke to on the phone was probably too young to know what she was talking about. Ended up using a local cobbler to replace the straps (which don't look as nice) so I may just send my bag in to Coach now after all. Anyway.... Their quality fell off and I had long since moved on so I really didn't care. Flash forward to the year 2022 and I was considering something nice for my daughter's 16th birthday. Something nice but not "too" nice if you catch my drift. Something a 16-year-old girl would appreciate and I wouldn't be pissed if she lost or damaged beyond recognition. Someone sent me a gift idea of a Coach keychain pouch - from Bloomingdale's, for $65. Remembering that there was a Coach store down at Tanger Outlets, I decided to check them out first. Fearing online fakery and running out of time as her birthday approaches, I knew I wouldn't have time to get anything shipped. Another deciding factor in going to Tanger. Disclaimer: Since it opened a few years back, I never really have gone down there to look at anything. Plus, I'm suspicious of "outlet centers" conspicuously placed in heavily populated areas. Glad I went to check this one out however. Although the selection is somewhat limited versus main line department stores like Bloomingdale's, I was able to obtain a keychain ID pouch for less than half the Bloomie's price. This place even offers a 10% military discount. Deal was so good even got one for my older daughter. Two ($78) keychain pouches for $59? Yes please, and thank you. Side note: the floor plan of this outlet center needs some work. By the time you see the big American flag and the building (in the very back of the mall) with COACH on it, you've already passed the actual store. I was about to give up when I walked into the Nike store - saw the ridiculous line - walked out, and looked ahead on my right and there the store was.... finally. I'd been walking around for close to 30 minutes...didn't see a security guard... didn't see a directory...or directional signage.... and was about to go home. I was having a conversation with the associate inside and she said, "yeah people get confused all the time." Speaking of associates, the ones here greeted me quickly and repeatedly, so service is super friendly and efficient. Maybe I'll check out a few other stores at Tanger Outlets now. If you are looking for the Coach store however you'd better bring a compass and coordinates, lol. I was so turned around after my "stroll" around Tanger Outlets that I couldn't even find my vehicle - which took me another 20 minutes to locate as I retraced my path - which was all kind of a blur at this point since ALL the stores now looked familiar. The hours say this store closes at 10pm, and again we walked in at 9:29pm. I'm not sure what the issue was with one of the young ladies working during this shift but there was obviously no self-checkouts open (like usual as of lately) so unfortunately yes it means we had to let you check us out. But the female behind the counter who had what appeared to plaits or braids in her hair with a skully cap went behind the counter as we walked up but had her back to us and huffed and puffed several times to show her irritation that we came to the checkout counter. Then proceeded to continue doing so with her back turned to us, and as the customer (and yes I've worked in customer service retail before) I should not have to make an announcement to you that I'm standing here at the counter. As if her attitude and passive aggressiveness wasn't enough, she then proceeded to say, "So y'all just going to stand there and ain't gon say anything?" I just looked at her and gave her a look that showed I'm not entertaining her ignorance. Then she said, "Okay was that it? " and we said, "Yes." and of course she continues on with the attitude and then says, "Okay.... have a good night " after she rang us up. Again I wasn't going to dignify her ignorance with a response. But I am writing this review so management can know one of the young ladies that worked that current shift tonight needs to be reprimanded and she definitely needs to be retrained on what GOOD customer service is because that clearly was not it at all; I have definitely always experienced better customer service from other workers there during the day shift and the night shift, but this is the first time I experienced extreme rudeness from start to finish. Again I've worked in customer service and retail and I understand it can be a frustrating job and it could be long days for people, however if you're going to project your negative mood and attitude onto the customers then maybe that's not the job for you and don't show up to work. This is another reason I agree with what other customers have said about the self checkout lines; if customers they're going to have to be dealing with disrespect like that on a regular basis then the self checkout lines need to be open for us to check ourselves out in peace.

I found everything I needed with little hassle and was greeted very politely by at least one or two employees. They only have one cashier usually so bring your patience. And, the white fellow with all the tattoos licks his fingers to get the bags loose....wasn't fond of that. But, luckily he went on his break by the time I reached the register. Overall, not a bad place to grab a few essentials. Update: I found some foreign particles in my Gain washing powder. And, the candy I bought was old and expired. I went back to the store to exchange and the manager initially refused to return my money. My husband had attempted to give her the details but apparently wasn't clear. After a somewhat heated exchange the manager Ms. Matthews allowed an exchange which I was very grateful for considering I did not have my receipt only a copy of the exchange in my bank records. It was all good in the end. I will say, I won't buy any food from this location. I'm sure the bug or whatever it was slipped in through the manufacturing process. Also, the store is extremely dirty. It needs a good deep cleaning. Management will return your items at their discretion but seem to be reasonable and professional.
