I moved into my home September 2003, which at that time I purchased all new furniture. I had my bed set and mattress for 11 years before I was in need for a new mattress. May 2014, I went to Mattress Discounters in search for and to purchase a new mattress. The salesperson, Angela pointed me in the direction of a Tempur Pedic (TP) mattress and the adjustable bed. This is not a mattress I would have purchase, because the price was way out of the price I wanted to pay, but she was good at what she did, relating to me as a customer and being very personable and persuasive in her selling techniques. I was very adamant when I came in seeking a mattress that I needed a FIRM bed, because after 11 years and as my mattress was getting old, I realize that the mattress plays a big role in the support of one's back. When she said TP was offering 5 years no interest payment plan that is how I was able to purchase the bed. I purchased a Rhapsody Breeze Queen FIRM Mattress for $3699.00, although it is higher than what I ever paid for a mattress, Angela was very assuring about this product and was marketing what you all advertise, which is: ... The unique feel of TEMPUR material delivers your best night's sleep... The mattress was great in the beginning, but whatever you put in your mattress that allows it to "adapt to your body," was slowly effecting the support of my back. After the "newness" wore off, I would sleep in so many different positions trying to get a good night sleep. I would wake up out of the bed with back ache and pain as I arose. I'm thinking that maybe I got a "fluke" mattress, because I have NEVER had a problem with a mattress after 1 year. In January 2016, this mattress was replaced with a TP Contour Elite, which was supposed to be one step firmer on your line. Like both mattresses, when you test them in the store and when they arrive to your home, they are FIRM but after a while this memory form DOES NOT bounce back. Therefore, I have to find a spot on my bed where I have not laid to get good sleep and not wake up with back pains. I have slept at the foot of the bed, diagonally, right, left and middle of the bed, trying to find a spot that hasn't been slept on. It wasn't until I got the replacement mattress that I realized that my first bed wasn't a "fluke" but your "memory foam" mattresses you are advertising above is FALSE information because your statement above is NOT accurate at all. From the naked eye, the mattress looks like it has no defects; but the defects is internally and externally. I am now on my 3rd mattress replacement and the TP representative told me about the TP Flex Collection and pointed me to the Supreme or Supreme Breeze. She told me that although the Firm is scaled at Medium, it would feel different and firm because of the coils. I went to the store and the bed is soft and that was at the store. I did not feel the support for my back and when you sleep for 5-7 hours, the damage to your back is slowing being effected at night, during hours you are sleep. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with TP line and Angela, the sales person whose only motive was to make a commission on that day. After 2.5 years of having this mattress and through my 3rd attempt to get a mattress from TP, which has left me in failure; I'm asking for a REFUND of my money so I can purchase a mattress without "MEMORY FOAM," which is the primary reason why I wake up with back and shoulder pains. I have 2 options to rectify this issue: The mattress in the TP line does not support my muscle and skeleton system in my body. My purchase of $3699.00, which as of this date has a balance of $600.00; that I want REFUNDED because this is UNACCEPTABLE to purchase a high-end product with the quality or satisfaction of a low-end product. My other option to swap this mattress of my choice with a completely different bed and brand that does not have memory foam of my choosing. read more
