Clothes Mentor is Trippin! I dropped off all these high-quality brand named items and you wanna offer me $10 store credit or eight dollars cash???! You're bugging. They didn't select majority of the things, stating they were winding down on summer clothes, fine - BUT there was a red velvet dress in there, a fall skirt, a wool skirt, some jeans... I only offered things in great condition. Of the 3 things they did select, including a perfectly in tact Ralph Lauren dress, some lovely boutique lilac palazzo pants that were never worn, those two items alone cost more than $200. To offer $10 store credit was a slap in the face lol like what?! Let me take this stuff back and put it on Poshmark or the real real. read more

Love the employees spirit; however, the prices are to high. I think if they lower the prices and give more people the opportunity to buy this will be one of the best in the area. Try it for a season and see if you have a better crowd buying! Best wishes. read more

Clothes Mentor is a straight rip off. It's a waste of time as a seller. You will do better donating to an organization that supports the needs of others.For example, my friend sold several items that were barely worn and many were new with tags. I returned to the store a couple of days later and saw one of her items selling for $25. Keep in mind they gave her $2.00 for the same item...STRAIGHT RIP OFF. The owners should be ashamed. The black faces you see none are the owners. The owners are two white women who are taking advantage of African American Customers. Please do not sell your clothes to them. Beware!!!! I would have to agree with the other reviews my friend and I went on separate occasions and we both had horrible experiences not only was it a waste time they were rude and very condescending. particularly the white lady with the short hair and the black lady which I think maybe the owner not sure how they run a business like this. Love this store so much! The employees were very helpful in finding me items I was looking at for an upcoming trip. I ended up leaving with a few great pieces of clothing and a designer handbag at really unbelievable prices. I cannot wait to come back again! Pros: Extremely clean store. Nice and neat clothing. Very professional attitudes of everyone working the day I came in. Warm feeling atmosphere. Clothes /shoes coordinated properly. I like this store. Cons: Pressure to purchase when an individual is bringing in items for cash. I'm uncertain if that is consignment decorum; however, I found that to be quite irritating. I truly love your store and everything you have but please stop trying to persuade those who are selling their clothes to you, to use store credit. If you are a consignment shop, give them the cash and if they decide to shop then let them, I felt extremely pressured to purchase items ( which I did) because you all continued to ask me to look at clothes, shoes, and purses. I heard about this place from a co worker and thought I would try it out. The teen was very friendly while the owner wasn't which was a bit unsettling. I decided to ignore her. I came in with mid level designer stuff from Macy's and Nordstrom (Anne Klein, Evan Picone, Ralph Lauren). I wanted to "test" them out so I intentionally bought in 15 dress and 10 pairs of shoes. Most of my clothing was gently worn and four things had tags. Eight pairs of my shoes were never worn. I left for a few hours and came back. The manager/owner reviewed my things, suddenly she found her personality. She wanted everything. She offered me what was equivalent to 3 dollars for shoes and 2 for the dresses. She along with the two other ladies whom I assume are co owners were nice enough until I declined their offer. I don't believe for a moment they are only going to sell my brand new designer leather shoes for 10 dollars. I think they quote you the bare minimum and sell for much more. Her offer was ridiculous. I have sold at Crossroad, Buffalo Exchange, Wasteland and other places. I'm not new to this. As I was leaving she smugly says well, we do all the work for you. I don't know what the store is like from a buyers perspective, but sellers don't waste your time. I'd rather donate it. At least, it will help someone and I get a write off. read more

It's a great concept however they barely give you any money for the clothes they buy. It wasn't worth the trouble bringing in a bunch of clothes. I would just donate them to people who actually need them and save your time and energy. read more

This was my first time ever going to this store. I had a great time shopping! This store only sales women's items. The customer service given in this store is very friendly. Over all the store is VERY organized! Shoes, boots, sweaters, shirts, blazers, pants, dresses, purses, workout clothes, coats, and even accessories are organized and even color coordinated. This morning was my first time going to Clothes Mentor and actually my first time ever to sell my clothes. At first, I was a little anxious to hand over my loved possessions, however Schree eased my mind and explained the process thoroughly. I was able to sell my 25 items (mixed items from Loft, J.Crew, Gap, Old Navy, Kate Spade, & Michael Kors) for a good price! This women's resale clothing store pays cash on the spot for gently used women's clothes, shoes, accessories and handbags. I found really nice and unique items like a Kate Spade handbag, Coach shoes and professional women's skirts, sweaters and dresses (mostly White House Black Market). Having sold a few items I chose in store credit option to return to shop. The process was quick and local owner was so nice. It felt good to support resale. On their website it's easy to shop. My items came quick and included the sweetest thank you note for shopping local. Will shop here again! read more

The owner and other short haired white woman in this location are extremely condescending. Their return policies are not posted except for the bottom of the register receipts, which means you've already made the purchase. When I tried to return footwear I was told they don't accept returns which was fine but when the older white lady still pulls out each shoe examining them with this attitude of disgust I simply said I will take them. She still continued saying "I think I can sell these.". i told her "Don't do me any favors.". Her response was "I do favors all the time.". I told her again I will just take them. She needed the help of the co-owner to continue with the return for a store credit. I would have been fine taking my boots but her condescending attitude is what upset me. After they finally figure out how to do the return and give me store credit for $10 less than I paid I told them it was a horrible experience and the older lady's attitude is horrible. The co-owner waves a register receipt in my face saying their return policy is on all my receipts and I have shopped there enough to know. i explained I shop online and pick up in store. my emailed receipt as well as their computer paper receipt so not specify their policy anywhere. Left a review on Google where Beth the co-owner replied embellishing my behavior stating I became Enraged! lol. Also saying they gave me options and I wasn't satisfied with them.
