He offered to make things right with both my and my wife's glasses, even though it had been several months since I had mine made. We both ended up having to go back to the eye doctor to make sure there was no error with the prescription. After that, we went to the store and explained the situation. Once they heard that Gregg had given his approval, they remade the lenses for both of us. As of today, I've picked up mine and the rainbow edges I was seeing before are gone, as well as a crack that had appeared due to the lenses not fitting the frames right. I'm satisfied that although we originally had a bad experience, Eyeglass Factory made things right in the end. Thanks Gregg!

THEY BROKE MY GLASSES!!!! Be very careful before choosing to come here!!!…read more I came in for a simple repair of replacing nose pads. They were the kind that you just slip on and off. They took apart my glasses before realizing this and were not able to get the metal nose pad holder back on. They insisted I needed the metal part replaced anyway but I had brought the glasses in totally put together totally assembled in the first place (except the one missing nose pad that I came in to get replaced). I love supporting our local businesses but seriously? You have hundreds of different classes and couldn't put mine back together, the way I brought them in to you?? I got eyesight glasses here a few years ago, there was also an issue with getting them repaired or replaced when a part fell off I had to get totally new glasses because they just have in stock what they have in stock. However, there is one service absent at Community Vision. When you pick up your glasses, the staff doesn't check them. Every other optometrist I have ever gone to has made sure my new glasses fit. This is going to sound hilarious but i've had not one but two confrontational experiences with the…read morethug-like "optometrists" at this establishment. One a k-pop dude i asked for a courtesy pair of contact lenses like i always do for 15 years while awaiting my new supply being ordered and i hear him from his office yell what! (the girl employee had to ask unfortunately for some reason) and he personally storms over and slams on the table in front of me with a very confrontational look to say the least. The other in Glendale, Arizona (ha ha) actually during my consultation the "doc" uncomfortably starts ignoring my questions and begins backtalking even questioning why am i clutching an old contact lens case (none of his business) and i just sort of start edging out of there. Now both of these occasions were near closing time and maybe they were having bad days but i've never seen a professional act like this ever period. But on the plus side everyone else was real friendly even trying to save you money and sure beats an overcrowded costco.

I've been using Costco in Oxnard for several year for frames/lenses as well as replacing lenses in…read moremy own frame. Up until now I have been happy with the service I have received. I wanted to get new frames and lenses and decided to try progressive lens this time instead of bifocal. I met Philippe at first. He said my own glasses (which I wanted to use) were too small for a progressive lense. So I started looking at frames. I selected a frame that i liked. He said the size was too big for me. It was the same size frame as the frames I have been wearing for years. Apparently I like a larger frame and the womens frames were not to my liking. He offered no suggestions for options just showed me to where the smaller frames were and walked away. I had to take another number again when I was done selecting frames. I met with someone else who was very pleasant, also said the frames were a bit big but offered to save my place in line so I could find my husband in the store and make my own decision. I came back, was able to speak with the same pleasant person and ordered the glasses. It was the original pair I liked. When I went to pick up the new glasses I got Philippe again. He wasn't pleasant or couldn't manage to smile. He handed me the glasses and told me to follow my nose to get used to the new progressive lens. Didn't offer to see if they fit properly since the lenses were just put in or needed any final adjustment. He didn't even ask me to try them on to see how they seemed. I left. I tried them for a few days and decided that they were not going to be for me. I know it says your brain may take up to a month but the issues I experienced would not be ones that would go away over time. I went back to Costco 9-6-26 and, yep, got Philippe again. He wasn't very pleasant AGAIN. I explained what my issues were: blurry periferral vision poor night vision and I got neck pain using a large computer monitor. I wanted to go back to bifocal lenses in the new frame and also have a back up pair using my prior frames with the new RX. He said my older frames were damaged. They weren't bent or out of shape; they looked new. I had just used them last year at Costco for lenses and got no grief then. Asked if he would please try and send them to the lab. He just refused. He explained he was doing this for 40 years and new what the lab would say. I was shocked. I had never received such an uncaring response. I also asked him to look at another frame I was planning on using as reading only but he said they too were damaged? Hummmm just trying to sell new frames?? We finished my orignal transaction changing progressive to bifocals. I tried again. "Would you please send these to the lab and see what they say?" His response was "The lab will only ask WHY did you bather to send these in?" I responded because the customer asked me too. He was totally annoyed with me. Took the frame and did the order. Never said thank you, have a good evening. I was going to complain to the optical manager but his card said he was the optical manager. I wanted to go to the store manager but it was late and I was furious. Never again. I'll pick up the new glasses when they are in and go somewhere else in the future. My brother was planning on going to Costco for frames and lenses. I told him no. Go somewhere else where the service is pleasant. He did!
