I've been getting contacts and glasses here from when I was younger and I think it's awesome they remember me. Who can forget this Yelper McYelperson? LOL :D Anyways, I bought 2 boxes of contact lenses on 11/9 and they're pretty good about calling you when the order is delivered to their store (mind you, my vision is close to blind so they don't have my prescription lens in stock). Two weeks pass and I call them to follow up and they let me know only 1 box came but not the other. They reminded me they will call me when I receive it. I think I called again a few days later and still no luck :( They gave me a call the following day to let me know that the company is backordered on my prescription lens (which is completely out of their hands) and offered to give me trial contact lens while I waited on my order. How amazing is that?! Very accommodating and they didn't have to do that but they did which I am grateful for :) I picked up my samples and it helped so much because my glasses gave me headaches and I needed contact lens to wear with my loupes for clinic. They gave me a call today 11/25 that my contact lens boxes have arrived and ready for pick up. I picked those babies up along with thanksgiving food prep items in Walmart so it's like hitting 2 birds with 1 stone (or maybe 2 turkeys with 1 stone haha). So this is what I'm truly thankful for this Thanksgiving: Walmart's National Vision Center for being considerate and on top of their contact lens game :D

My wife got replacement lenses for her computer glasses and now can't wear them because they're worse than the old ones. I got replacement lenses for my progressives, and there's now a rainbow effect when I look through the top or bottom edge near the frame. Plus the distance prescription in them is not as clear as in the bifocal they made me just a few months earlier. When I took mine back and told them, they "checked the lenses" and told me the prescription was right, and that I should go back to my eye doctor. Yeah, right.

However, there is one service absent at Community Vision. When you pick up your glasses, the staff doesn't check them. Every other optometrist I have ever gone to has made sure my new glasses fit. I even told the woman that the glasses were really loose; they needed to be tightened. She had that deer in the headlights look. I know she worked there, but did she? I didn't think one star was fair, but I was very disappointed with the service received. And, I still wear my old glasses. What a waste. Don

I can't say enough about Dr. Stevens - great understanding of how to foster Patient/Doctor relationships. I had some concerns regarding past vision problems (and potential future issues as well) which he took the time to address very thoroughly. He also provided a plethora of medical insight regarding LASIK vs PRK procedures (which was super helpful). His exam rhythm, vocal tone and quick wit humor throughout my visit - too cool for school! The various eye testing offered and provided was very impressive, as was the detailed review of these results provided by Dr. Stevens. This is going to sound hilarious but i've had not one but two confrontational experiences with the…read morethug-like "optometrists" at this establishment. One a k-pop dude i asked for a courtesy pair of contact lenses like i always do for 15 years while awaiting my new supply being ordered and i hear him from his office yell what! (the girl employee had to ask unfortunately for some reason) and he personally storms over and slams on the table in front of me with a very confrontational look to say the least. The other in Glendale, Arizona (ha ha) actually during my consultation the "doc" uncomfortably starts ignoring my questions and begins backtalking even questioning why am i clutching an old contact lens case (none of his business) and i just sort of start edging out of there. Now both of these occasions were near closing time and maybe they were having bad days but i've never seen a professional act like this ever period. I purchased a pair of sunglasses in November 2025, not long after the frame was cracked on the…read morebottom of the lense and I was surprised since I hadn't dropped them so was not sure why they were cracked, so I took them back to Eyeglass Factory in Ventura where I purchased them to let them know what had happened. Ventura store just told me no they didn't have the same pair and nothing more. Then I went to the one in Camarillo and explained what happened and Angie was so nice and told me it must have been a defect by the way they were cracked and told me it was still under warranty so was so nice and looked around to try to find me the same pair. She finally found some but in a different color in Santa Barbara so they shipped it to Camarillo and I got them within a few days December 20. I went back and picked up the glasses and this morning I woke up and they were cracked in the same exact spot as the last pair so since I got this last pair in Camarillo, I decided to go back to that same store since Angie was so helpful and let them know what had happened. When I went in the girl behind the counter greeted me and as I was telling her what had happened from the beginning she was giving me a look as if my story wasn't true in a way and told me well you only get one warranty and I said well I believe it was a defect and then she called to Angie and Angie tried helping me out looking for another frame that maybe my lense could be put into. This review would have been a 5 star but with the way the first girl behind the counter made me feel and wasn't nice after her greeting I could only give a 3 star. Angie is amazing.
