I called several practioners in my area, and All About Eyes (AAE) could procure the contacts i needed, and would take my kind of insurance. I just needed my newly written prescription filled, but Lu at AAE (who was very helpful) insisted I have an exam through AAE to get the contacts. Reluctantly, i agreed and went through their exam process (very thorough) and waited for my insurance to approve and fund it. I was finally able to get my contacts a month later through AAE. The first contacts they ordered were clear, even though I had requested for them to be tinted blue for ease of locating them in clear liquid, or if lost in a sink or on the floor. It took another week to get the correct contacts after returning the first pair, but I am very happy with them now. However, i felt it was poor customer service when one of the staff at the front desk looked away from me as they began talking to me when I was returning the first pair of contacts. I wasn't sure if she was talking to me, or to someone on the phone through an earpiece. And, when I returned to pick up the correct contacts a few days before Christmas, 3 people were behind the front desk talking to each other. I said hello, let them know my name, and asked about my contacts. Without a word, one of them looked back for the contacts behind her, and put them on the counter in front of me. There was no "Thank you" (for your patience?), or sorry for the inconvenience, or Happy Holidays. They just went back to talking to each other. Bewildered, I turned to leave and wished them Happy Holidays, and at least someone replied "Thank you". I hope the $1,250 AAE got from my insurance company for filling a contact prescription went to good use. Maybe some of it can be used to update employee customer service skills in 2026? For the correct contacts I give a 5. For having to go through the entire exam process again to get contacts, I give a 4, For customer service I give a 3. I hope this review helps everyone. Visited twice in one week…read more Finally decided to take care of my eyes and get it checked after not seeing an optometrist in 6 years. My first visit was this past Tuesday for a wellness exam. Showed up early just in case there was a wait. I thought I'd be seen as soon as I got there being that I had an appointment, but I ended up having to wait 45 minutes to be seen. Luckily, the staff as well as the Dr. who saw me was super awesome. I believe it was Flinn. He explained everything to me and ended up entertaining me by telling me the Tagalog words that he knew. I was told to come back for more tests. I should've asked what for, but I didn't. Turns out it was to see the back of my eye to make sure I don't have glaucoma. So yay for no glaucoma. Lidia helped me out today throughout the whole testing. She's super awesome. Bubbly and naturally friendly. Dr. Shaffer saw me for the remainder of the appointment. Lidia again assisted me with picking new glasses. I picked one from their collection and was told I would be called when it's ready to be picked up. I took away one star for having to wait during my first appointment.

However, there is one service absent at Community Vision. When you pick up your glasses, the staff doesn't check them. Every other optometrist I have ever gone to has made sure my new glasses fit. I even told the woman that the glasses were really loose; they needed to be tightened. She had that deer in the headlights look. I know she worked there, but did she? I didn't think one star was fair, but I was very disappointed with the service received. And, I still wear my old glasses. What a waste. Don
