I can't say enough about Dr. Stevens - great understanding of how to foster Patient/Doctor relationships. I had some concerns regarding past vision problems (and potential future issues as well) which he took the time to address very thoroughly. He also provided a plethora of medical insight regarding LASIK vs PRK procedures (which was super helpful). His exam rhythm, vocal tone and quick wit humor throughout my visit - too cool for school! The various eye testing offered and provided was very impressive, as was the detailed review of these results provided by Dr. Stevens. I left FVC with a feeling that my vision was in very capable, very caring hands. Kudos to all!

It is called Eyeland Bliss Optical. I went in and what a pleasure it was. The owner Ali Rossi is so delightful and what a professional! I told her I had a unique situation and needed glasses for reading and unclose, but that I needed the glasses to fit in with my costume when I worked. She showed me a plethora of choices. I had such fun choosing them out and she told me how my insurance would cover some of the costs so I was able to get the glasses I wanted. Thank you Eyeland Bliss Optical for making this girls eyes so happy!! I hope if anyone out there needs glasses for any reason, this is the right place to go. However, there is one service absent at Community Vision. When you pick up your glasses, the staff doesn't check them. Every other optometrist I have ever gone to has made sure my new glasses fit. I even told the woman that the glasses were really loose; they needed to be tightened. She had that deer in the headlights look. I know she worked there, but did she? I didn't think one star was fair, but I was very disappointed with the service received. And, I still wear my old glasses. What a waste. Don

I've been getting contacts and glasses here from when I was younger and I think it's awesome they remember me. Who can forget this Yelper McYelperson? LOL :D Anyways, I bought 2 boxes of contact lenses on 11/9 and they're pretty good about calling you when the order is delivered to their store (mind you, my vision is close to blind so they don't have my prescription lens in stock). Two weeks pass and I call them to follow up and they let me know only 1 box came but not the other. They reminded me they will call me when I receive it. I think I called again a few days later and still no luck :( They gave me a call the following day to let me know that the company is backordered on my prescription lens (which is completely out of their hands) and offered to give me trial contact lens while I waited on my order. How amazing is that?! Very accommodating and they didn't have to do that but they did which I am grateful for :) I picked up my samples and it helped so much because my glasses gave me headaches and I needed contact lens to wear with my loupes for clinic. They gave me a call today 11/25 that my contact lens boxes have arrived and ready for pick up. I picked those babies up along with thanksgiving food prep items in Walmart so it's like hitting 2 birds with 1 stone (or maybe 2 turkeys with 1 stone haha). So this is what I'm truly thankful for this Thanksgiving: Walmart's National Vision Center for being considerate and on top of their contact lens game :D

Visited twice in one week…read more Finally decided to take care of my eyes and get it checked after not seeing an optometrist in 6 years. My first visit was this past Tuesday for a wellness exam. Showed up early just in case there was a wait. I thought I'd be seen as soon as I got there being that I had an appointment, but I ended up having to wait 45 minutes to be seen. Luckily, the staff as well as the Dr. who saw me was super awesome. I believe it was Flinn. He explained everything to me and ended up entertaining me by telling me the Tagalog words that he knew. I was told to come back for more tests. I should've asked what for, but I didn't. Turns out it was to see the back of my eye to make sure I don't have glaucoma. So yay for no glaucoma. Lidia helped me out today throughout the whole testing. She's super awesome. Bubbly and naturally friendly. Dr. Shaffer saw me for the remainder of the appointment. Lidia again assisted me with picking new glasses. I picked one from their collection and was told I would be called when it's ready to be picked up. I took away one star for having to wait during my first appointment.

They finally called back and sounds like an older lady who was giving attitude for not showing up last appointment and giving me a warning . I just said thanks and made an appointment somewhere else even though it's farther away from me .
