Very nice, staff is very helpful. It's very clean and everyone's super on top of things

My family has been receiving eye care from Dr. Amundsen for about five years. True, his practice has gone above and beyond with getting the right prescription for you. My issue with his practice has been the lab he had contracted with for the glasses. I spent almost a thousand dollars for my prescription to be serviced by their lab and it took 16 weeks to get back! I kid you not! Unfortunately later on in the year, the left corner of my Oakley lens popped up! I notified Dr. Amundsen about it, and they told me that they're not responsible for it. read more

My 7 year old has been seeing Dr Sebring at Miramar for forever. However, Dr Sebring moved out of state. My little was having a really bad eye infection which turned out to be pretty bad seasonal allergies. When I called Miramar they couldn't get her in until September. I called around and Dr Amundsens front office got my little in right away. I am so beyond happy that they were able to get her in as we've found our new eye care home! Dr Amundsen takes his time and is so great a true doctor. Thank you for relieving my daughter's eye itches and getting her in right away. read more

Dr. Amundsen is amazing. This past weekend I was out of town and started seeing floaters in my eye. When we got home I looked up local optometrists and his practice came up and had great reviews. I called the office and explained what was going on and even though I had never been there before and he was booked all day, they still fit me in to do an exam and make sure it wasn't something serious. I went in and the nurse did all the tests and then I met with Dr. Amundsen. He was so wonderful, he was so thorough and did further tests to make sure my retina was okay. He explained everything, was so calm and kind and reassuring. I will be going back in 3 weeks for a follow up but in the mean time he gave me his cell number and told me to call him if I saw flashes or more floaters. Very few doctors would that. It was a really great experience and I highly recommend him and his office read more

Dr. Amundsen and his staff are way above the five star rating. I had shingles and because of the lesion being on my eyelid, my primary doctor sent me to see Dr. Amundsen. I was really impressed by the professionalism in the office. Dr. Amundsen saw me right away and since it was coming up on the weekend he even cared enough to give me his personal cell phone number. Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty!!!!!! I deeply appreciate Dr. Amundsen and his staff and highly recommend them. His caring attitude and thorough examination were exemplary! Thank you Dr. Amundsen and staff. read more

Awesome service! Great staff. Dr. A is really kind, straight forward and spends quality time with you.

My mom was referred here and the doctor was very nice and very thorough. He worked well with her.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Amundsen. I have a complicated case and he never makes me feel rushed. I've been to countless eye doctors over the last couple of years and there's just no comparison in how you are treated as a patient and the care you receive here. His staff is also friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Dr. Amundsen to anyone! read more

The doctor and staff are all very nice. The office is clean, and equipment is modern. There is complimentary coffee and tea provided if you want it. As others have said, they do tend to 'upsell' you on every test/option/thing under the sun. The wait at the office is a bit much as well, even with an appointment. read more

Dr. Amundsen has been great. I found him by luck of the draw, as he was listed as a local provider for my vision insurance, VSP. I've been a patient for several years now, and I have been very happy. Dr. Amundsen is very nice, patient, and willing to explain things. As is his staff! The office itself is beautiful. Dr. Amundsen has seen me through eyeglasses, and now has patiently helped me along with my first pair of contacts. Let me tell you, my eyes are not good, and it's been a process to get contacts that fit me well. Through it all, he has been willing to work with me, and successive trial pairs of lenses. I'd highly recommend him and his staff!! Side note: If you live in Camarillo, his office is very easily reachable via the bike path. When I have time, I enjoy riding my bike there. :-) OH, and as a nice perk, they offer complimentary gourmet coffee there. That's a really nice touch, although, I would say that it'd be nice if they kept an eye that it stayed hot. It's maybe 50% of the time when I stop by, the coffee is cold, or luke-warm. =-[. Then again, they aren't Starbucks... read more

This office is so nice! The staff is very friendly and informative. They really try to make you feel comfortable and the appearance of the office is so pretty. Dr. Amundsen is knowledgable and a very outgoing guy. My experience was awesome and so glad I found this office. Oh and free water, tea and coffee is always nice. The equipment that they have is so high tech, it's neat! They actually have a machine that could sense the messages that go from your optic nerve to your cortex. It's so crazy! read more

On my first visit I was so impressed with Dr. Amundsen and his staff. They were friendly, professional, clear communicators, and had the various machines required to asses my unique eye care. I admired their courage to address my own misunderstanding about progressive lenses. They took the time to show me the reality of the type of eye ware they recommended to undo my false perception. They wanted to ensure I understood the type of lens that would best correct my vision and fit in with my lifestyle. I am grateful for their skilled care and can't wait for my new pair of glasses. read more

The staff was friendly and dr. Seemed knowledgeable i refered a friend there and we both felt very presured into "upsales" so to speak extra test, latest greatest lense, scratch resistance this and that. I get that's how business stays alive but products need to benefit the consumer. read more

I had my annual eye exam here recently. Everyone in the office is super friendly. The office is very nice, clean and modern. Dr. Amundsen is super friendly and thorough. I am picking up my glasses next week. I definitely recommend this office! read more

Dr. Amundsen and his staff are really fantastic. I've been seeing him for about a year regarding laser eye surgery. Dr. Amundsen referred me to a great eye surgeon who performed the surgery and Dr. Amundsen has taken great care with me in all of the follow-up exams. I needed some pretty serious correction, so my recovery from the surgery has been slow. Dr. Amundsen has been so patient and generous with his time making sure that my vision is what it should be and also what I'd like it to be. His staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional. I recommend Dr. Amundsen to everyone who asks about an eye doctor. I also recommend that anyone considering Lasik or a similar procedure go to see Dr. Amundsen for referral to a really great eye surgeon. My husband also sees Dr. Amundsen for eyeglasses and he is always just as happy with Dr. Amundsen's care as well as the office staff. read more
