There are multiple locations and each time there is a very long wait before seeing someone. Today it is already 1 hour since the appointment time and still in the waiting area. It seems that procedures are not properly scheduled and it feels more like being in the emergency room just waiting for a long queue of patients to finish. read more

I received LASIK from DLV about 5 months ago but then my vision started to get blurry again so i had to call back to get a touch up. The doctor works in three different offices so he is only available on certain days for procedures. Does not do procedures on Thursdays and Fridays. They are not open weekends either. So I called in to schedule a touch up and there was a next day appointment available. I accepted the appointment and was given confirmation that my procedure would be in Camarillo. Around 5pm right before the office closes, i get a text message saying my appointment in Westlake has been canceled with no reason. So now im confused, do i take the day off tomorrow or is there a mix up? I call back the next morning to reschedule. I get a LASIk procedure scheduled for a Monday and they don't tell you the time until the day before the procedure. Come Friday before my procedure, I never received a call nor text nor email and its after hours and the office is closed on the weekends. Kind of an inconvenience as i have to arrange a ride and a caretaker. Fast forward to the day of my procedure. No calls or emails or texts received. I have to call and chase them down to find out whats going on. Apparently they canceled my procedure but neglected to inform me or even attempted to reach me the day of. Again i have to reschedule my appointment. read more

It is assembly line operation and if things go wrong, then the system is very poor in helping individuals, as was in my case. Also three visits were in three different locations - Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo. The waiting rooms for the first two locations are very small and crowded. At each place the wait to see the doctor was at least 1 hour. I would not recommend this for anyone! RV read more

Popped in for a LASIK consult and the care from everyone was amazing. Oh well .. they have to sell right? (I thought..) I finally put my ducks in a row and made the decision, LET's DO IT! I have not found during my whole experience one employee who wasn't extremely nice and accommodating. Kudos to Christina my patient consultant (you're the best), to Dr.Bala my surgeon and Dr. Alique my optometrist. I see clearly now... lol.. should have done it years ago! Recommended for quality, seriousness, professionalism, care and kindness read more

Had cataract surgery and am pleased with results. My only complaint is that they don't take my insurance so had to pay cash.

Wait times are ridiculous Arrived 10 minutes early and still waiting to be seen after 1 hour

I had an appointment at 8:40 didn't get seen till 930. I sat in a room for over an hour by myself. I didn't get out of the place till 11:45. I had two doctors tell me a different plan that would work for my eyes. They're overbooked understaffed three hours for an eye doctor appointment that did nothing but check my eyes. What the regular doctor would've done. read more

Very unprofessional, this is a training office, waited two hours in a room, with 4 different people coming in basically doing the same test. Waked out after two hours of waiting and not seeing the doctor.... Had lasik surgery and had to go back for adjustments and still can't see clear... Not recommended... read more

I went here about a month ago and got there early and wasn't seen until 3 hrs later. I saw people going in shortly after me doing tests that got there an hr or 2 after me. If I didn't pay so much for the lasik I would have left. I complained to my dr who referred me and shortly got a call and how they apologized for the wait and will try to make it but she had to talk her manager and that's all I heard. Just felt like they did not care about my time and just wanted my money. I tried to do a follow up with the lady and left a voicemail but no response back Pretty sure when they finally called me back it was lunch time because I could hear them talking asking where the dr was to double check my eyes and someone said she's at lunch. Just wish they cared about your time instead of having you sit around for 3 hrs for a 5 min surgery. read more

Extremely unprofessional procedures of using that facility as a training ground and having extremely unskilled and untrained youngsters poking in your eyes. Every single experience there over a two year period was frustrating. Not one time could they operate the equipment professionally and without having to get help from someone during my multiple tests. I felt the doctor was only getting as good information as the person performing the test. In a perfect world, I would want the doctor performing the test. So I was never confident I was getting the best medical care I could get. I was seriously poked in the eye on one visit and very disappointed on most occasions. I even related that experience to a woman in a subsequent visit who claimed to be an office manager, she promised could operate the equipment with no problems. When her efforts went on to even more epic problems during my test than the students before she claimed she was a manager in a different facility and was unfamiliar with the equipment in this one! So of course it wasn't her fault! It would've been hilarious if it wasn't for the fact I was there for a serious eye problem. The only positive thing I could say about this place is I like the doctor and thought he was good except for his extremely poor choice to use me as a training ground for his rookies and to surround himself with such unprofessionalism and limited accurate information. read more

In June 2024, I had my eyes dilated at the Westlake office and I had the Lasik surgery at the Camarillo office. Overall, I highly recommend surgery with DLV and Dr. Dougherty. The surgery went very smooth as well as the follow up appointments. I returned to work the next day. The staff was very friendly, and answered any of my questions. I wore contacts for almost 20 years and was finally over them. This lasik surgery really is life changing for the better! 10/10 recommend!! read more

Amazing experience here. I was on the fence about LASIK for quite some time, and I finally decided to pull the trigger on it. My initial consultation was 05/08 and my surgery was 05/13. He answered all my questions and allayed any hesitations I had. 10/10 recommend!!! read more

If I could give no stars to this organization I would. I went in for an "evaluation" for Cataract surgery. I waited in the lobby for an hour before i was called into a room. I was seen by 3 different people for approximately 20 minutes of time and then the doctor for about 5 minutes of time. However, the entire time that I was stuck in rooms waiting to be seen was 2 1/5 hours for a total of 25 minutes of actual interaction with someone. Then I was put in a room with a "used car saleswoman" to tell me the outrageous price they wanted to charge me for surgery and replacement lens. No explanation of the process, or what to expect was given to me; just an estimate. My total time spent in this place was over 3 1/2 hours. The organization then proceeds to bill my insurance carrier $1,125 for 25 minutes of actual time with me!! I found a wonderful doctor who is excellent. He came recommended by another eye doctor in town. The same procedure that I had him do was $4,000 less than what this organization wanted to charge me. This organization is nothing but a money mill. I would avoid this place at all costs. read more

Absolutely atrocious service. Got here at prescribed time; was told "drs are at lunch." waited 45 min to see a tech, who then wanted to run me through the same tests I'd just had done (precisely why my optometrist had referred me). When I asked "do you have the information from my optometrist?" They said "no". How do you know what to treat me for? They said you wrote it down. Absolutely medically irresponsible to NOT confer with the referring doctor or at least have the prior exam results. Just a factory trying to pump through insurance charges. This place is terrible. read more

Prepare to wait a long time at all dlv centers. They like to overbook and you'll wait about an hour plus for every follow up appointment so bring something to do. Also double check if they're calling in prescriptions. They said they called in our 3 rx but they had not. Wasted time driving to the pharmacy. Then they only called in 2. 3 visits later got the drops I needed. Normally don't complain ever but this is truly a factory experience and not worth the money. Rooms are dirty! read more

If I could've given more than five stars, I would! Scheduling appointment was very easy. This was my daughter's second time coming for a consultation! The doctor was VERY attentive with all of our questions, and very detailed in the consultation. I loved the video that they shared with us, breaking it down on how treatment was going to be handled. Christina the patient counselor was also very organized and efficient on getting us an appointment right away so my daughter can have her surgery. No 23 year old wants to hear that they are loosing their vision and christina was so caring during the consultation, from scheduling to financing. My daughter had cross linking done and is healing beautifully. Thank you to the entire team. read more

I had an amazing, life changing experience with Dr. Dougherty and his team! I had LASIK surgery before( performed by another doctor), but it's wasn't successful, my vision kept getting worse. Dr. Dougherty suggested a PRK surgery for me. And I was able to see right after he performed it!!! Also, I have to mention, I was very nervous before the surgery, but Dr.Dougherty and every member of his team made everything to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. I appreciate them for this experience!! read more

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Stay away. This is a factory. Make an appointment. Wait 90 minutes to 2 hours to actually get in. The first order of business is not eye care its to upsell you. The "patient coordinators" are sales people in disguise. They probably work on commissions. Then its time for the eye procedure. Factory again. They want all of their money up front and they will call you the afternoon before to give your time. That is because again since its a factory they have to move them in and out quickly. They choose your don't. Since you have to have sedation you can't eat or drink after midnight. So if your slotted by them in the afternoon (remember, they chose the time you don't) you'll wait 12 to 15 hours to eat or drink. There has got to be other alternatives in Ventura County. And if your an eye surgeon this is a great place to hang your shingle. We need competition here. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience here at DLV Vision in Camarillo and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They called me the day before to be at this office at 10:30 am, mind you I was coming from the valley. I got there early, only to be waiting in a room full of other people and not called back until 11:35. Once I was called back I was back there for another 2 HOURS waiting for them to take me in for my surgery which was all of 5-10 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. I was there total of 3.5 hours all for a LASIK appt. They seem to overbook on surgery days & only the doctors were friendly. Won't be back. read more

AMAZING experience here! Wow! I had Lasik here a couple months ago and had to post a review! All of the staff here are very friendly, the patient counselor, the doctors/techs are all very informative and explained every little detail to me. I was a nervous wreck but everyone was comforting assuring me there is nothing to worry about. The procedure itself was very quick and I was worried for no reason. The next day I went in for my post op appointment and my eyes are healthy and my vision is better than 20/20! Words just cannot describe how I feel. I'm so happy!! No more glasses, no more contacts! No more reaching for glasses every morning. This is life changing for me! The only thing I regret is not doing it way sooner! Thank you Dr. Paul and the rest of the team! You are all wonderful people and I'm so happy to have been referred to you! I'm LOOKING forward to a bright future! :) read more

Much gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Paul Dougherty and his compassionate staff for leveling up my Real World Avatar! Ever since 5th grade, I was wearing either contacts or glasses just to simply see. Given all the events happening in 2020 and predictions of zombies in 2021 by Nostrodamus: "Few young people: halfdead to give a start. Dead through spite, he will cause the others to shine. And in an exalted place some great evils to occur: Sad concepts will come to harm each one, Temporal dignified, the Mass to succeed. Fathers and mothers dead of infinite sorrows, Women in mourning, the pestilent she monster: The Great One to be no more, all the world to end." It's good to know this is one less thing I have to worry about while having to sprint out of my house at a moment's notice. The assurance of being able to run away from future zombies without having to secure a month's supply of my Acuvue contacts is a super life-saving investment. If the astrologers are right, I would keenly look into fixing your eyes before you too are in the need. Realistically, the "half-dead to start" might be referring to all the people locked away at home blindly consuming content from their screens. Who knows, better to hedge your bets before you can't determine if that person in front of you is coming up to you for a hug or to nom on your grey matter. For this matter, I highly recommend Dr. Paul Dougherty for his professionalism and his ability to give you the emotional reassurance that your eyes will be taken care of. His staff was super informative and expressed great empathy to me that I felt so at ease on surgery day. The other vision centers I checked out didn't have as nice of facilities or as many options. Due to my eyes being -8.00, I had the option of either Lasik or PRK...until I stepped into Dougherty's office, I had no idea there was a new treatment called ICL. ICL consists of them putting in contacts into your eyes. It's reversible, doesn't cause dry eyes (my eyes are already dry), and has natural UV protection. :) So thank you Dr. Paul Dougherty for giving me a chance on surviving a predicted zombies uprising this year. I had -8.00 vision so just being able to see so clearly after a short nap from surgery made me bursting with gratitude and appreciation. Being able to swim in the ocean and open my eyes to the fishes and any possible incoming water zombies was also a superpower I didn't have before. Sending much love to a zombie-less 2021 year. read more

Dr. Dougherty is amazing! Had Cataract surgery last month and my vision is so much better now, thanks to him and amazing staff. The office staff was so attentive and kind. The office was pleasant, clean, and organized. Dr. Dougherty answered all my questions and surgery was fast and I healed well. I had laser assisted cataract surgery and opted for their multifocal lens since I don't want to depend on eyeglasses. Dr. Le did all my follow up appointments thus far he is very knowledgeable, kind and patient. I highly recommend DLV Vision for your eye care needs. Dr . Dougherty and the whole staff at camarillo & Westlake are amazing.. from the 1st appt to get a free consultation, during surgery and after. the consultation process was very good, my counselor Christina was great at explaining every question I had, and helped me work out a plan to be able to get this done. I gotta admit I was freaking out about the whole surgery and due to covid-19 I had to postpone it a few times, but from the moment I walked in the day or surgery every single staff I saw made me feel comfortable. the tech in the surgery room where amazing talking to me to relax me. the surgery it self went super quick and it was nothing to what I expected, it was the easiest thing ever.. I would do it again if I had to and recommend dr. Dougherty to do it. it feels amazing to be able to see with out contacts or glasses, after 13 years of wearing them.. being able to just put on my regular no prescription sunglasses and walk out of my car into a store and being able to see is amazing.. read more

Dr. Dougherty and his staff are professional and very courteous. The surgery took less than 30 minutes and I was able to walk out of the office on my own capacity. This was the first and only surgery I've ever done and his staff made me feel comfortable though out the whole process. Dr. Dougherty made me feel at ease during the procedure. He was quick, professional and you can tell that he is very passionate about his work. As soon as I got out of surgery, I walked out into the lobby and saw the most vivid blue sky that I have ever seen. It was an incredible experience and never thought that the outcome would be that good. I woke up this morning and didn't feel any pain or irritation from surgery. After suffering an abrasion to my cornea, I called DLV (in horrendous pain) and the staff arranged an appt in 30 minutes. Thirty! For an office which I know is very busy. Dr Kennedy was very professional and efficient, putting the numbing drops in as soon as she verified the problem (did I mention I was in terrible pain??--lol) and commenced with a thorough eye-exam to rule out any other problems. I left with a "contact bandage" and drops and a follow-up, completely relieved of the eye pain. My sincerest thanks to the staff and Dr Kennedy for the prompt and compassionate attention.
