I can't say that the experience was great but certainly acceptable. This time around has been a completely different story. I mean absolute nightmare. This entire ordeal began a few months ago when I scheduled my regular eye exam. Dr. Bruch was wonderful and very friendly and so was Sarah the Ophthalmic technician. Everything was smooth sailing until I met with optician Robin, right from the start she was rude and unfriendly. I almost felt uncomfortable during my entire experience with her. I ended up deciding to order the exact glasses I currently owned because I couldn't find anything within the stores selection. These glasses were ordered/confirmed and would take a couple weeks at most to arrive. I received a call nearly a week or more later and was told these glasses were not available. I would have appreciated that information up front when I placed my order. I called back Robin with a Ray-Ban model that I liked and was told that they could be ordered. She seemed aggravated and annoyed the entire time. I ended up asking to speak to store manager Jeramy. He seemed somewhat accommodating at first but wouldn't acknowledge my complaint about customer service being poor. I ended up waiting nearly a month for my first set of glasses (I was told they are from overseas). I was overcharged by over $20 which I feel was intentional. This was corrected after I argued and laid out the error in black and white. The glasses arrive and I notice a defect in the lenses, two weeks or so later I receive a call that the replacement lenses have arrived and they will cut them to fit. The lenses were cut incorrectly and looked terrible; the brand new frames were also scuffed/marred in the process. Again nearly another month goes by because I have to wait for the replacement frames. Mind you that I've had to make multiple trips to Buckeye Optical during their business hours, which are also my work hours (extremely inconvenient). I almost always have to wait about 15 mins or more when I arrive. Finally, I get a random text message saying my frames have arrived. I try calling to verify that everything is ready to avoid wait times and their phones aren't working. My girlfriend ends up getting the replacement frames for my time sake. I receive a call from Jeramy telling me that I need to bring the defective/damaged lenses back so he can get a credit from them. I told him that I would try to as soon as I can but I haven't had time. I also mentioned that he could send a pre-paid label for me to send them back to him. He did not like that idea and his tone quickly changed; he threatened to send me a bill if I did not return them now. So apparently it's acceptable for your customers to wait over 3 months to finally get correct lenses/frames but when it comes time for manager Jeramy to wait he throws a fit. I sincerely hope that Buckeye Optical can figure out their poor customer service situation. I wish I had paid attention to the poor Yelp reviews. If you enjoy poor attitudes and terrible customer service then Buckeye Optical is the place to shop for eyewear. Extremely disappointed.

The sales person who helped me told me that I should apply for a 3rd line and then I would qualify for a promotional discount that would actually keep my payment where it was with the trade in. I said I didn't need a 3rd line and was told just throw it in a drawer but we needed to do it to get the discount. I said great! So we work through the details and transfer info over to the new phones. That part was great and easy. However the promotional discount I was promised didn't work. I was told don't worry about it. It was a known issue and I would see emails showing they were working on it. I leave and wait a couple of hours and see nothing so I go back to the store. They tell me sorry they were wrong and only the manager can see that info but again they are working on it. Ok and I leave again. I wait until the next day and still nothing so I go back to the store. The person who helped me yesterday is off and the manager working said she could not see anything because she didn't enter the offer?? But she also said there was a system issue and it it was taking longer but assured me they would make it right. I go home again. I wait a week and nothing. I go back to the store and the same person who originally helped me was there. She said that I would get the discount for the 3rd line but there system would not actually show it until the bill was cut. Guess what - my bill was cut that Monday and no discount. I went back to the store and again the same person was working who now says you have to call billing. Unbelievable!! I go home and spend and hour on the phone with them who said they would need to review and would call me back Friday. Friday comes and no call. I call back and get someone new who says that the discount was for 4th so she disconnected the 3rd line for me but my bill is still $20 more a month than promised. I believe I am owe that at a minimum. She said she would look into applying loyalty discount because I'm such a good customer. I wait until the following Tuesday and again nothing. So I call back and asked to speak to a manager. They are trying to see if they can get me that discount but I won't know until 10/20. At this point I feel as if I'm stuck but I will share everywhere because I feel like this was very shady. I get I go once to the store and maybe misunderstood but I went 4 separate times and asked very directly what this discount was going to be and was told the same thing every time.
