He passed the phone to his boss, Josh, and when I told Josh the whole story, he insisted that there was no promise and that he wasn't there. I realized there was no way the conversation was going anywhere, so I stopped the call. I was angry that I was tricked into making such a big purchase. I was fooled because I trusted this guy like I trust my friends. I felt like I had learned a lesson in life. At the same time, I smiled.
