I can't say enough good things about this business. Making an appointment was easy and the woman I…read morespoke with on the phone was pleasant and helpful. When I arrived to my appointment, I didn't have to wait. Everything was right on schedule. Dr. Gallagher did a thorough eye exam and was very knowledgeable about my specific vision issues (relating to side effects from a previous procedure and an illness). He took time to answer all of my questions and I didn't feel like he was in a hurry. Back in the area where frames are sold, there was no pressure to buy frames from them. In fact, they gave me a laminated card with my prescription to take with me (presumably to make it easier to buy frames elsewhere if I wanted to). I had some unique vintage frames that I wanted to get my new prescription put into and they were able to do them for me on the premises. It's unique to find a place where someone with this skill actually works in the shop. The glasses were ready in a few days and reasonably priced. Every single person there was pleasant and helpful. I know you can buy cheap glasses online, but I'm happy to support brick and mortar businesses in the community that offers excellent service. You get what you pay for.

I am pleased to say that Karen who owns Eyeglass Outlet is a different breed completely -- a wonderful pillar of the Lebanon community and proof that small town customer service lives on! Two years ago I bought progressive lenses here and after trying them for a couple months I reluctantly concluded that I could just not adjust to them and I returned, expecting to be out of pocket several hundred dollars for this failed experiment and was completely surprised when Karen told me she could exchange them for two pairs glasses of different strengths , with no additional money due. The two pairs have been great. I have stopped in a handful of times for her to adjust the frames and to tighten some screws - always for no charge (although she has a cookie jar on the counter to which people are welcome to contribute and she will, in turn, give to charities in the community). Today, nearly 2 years later I returned because the coating on my reading glasses has started to come off. I really didn't think anything could be done about it but wanted to know how important it was and/or how much it would cost to replace the lenses. Karen took one look at them, checked on her computer and saw that I have had them for a few weeks shy of two years which means the lenses are covered by a full warranty and she has ordered a replacement set of lenses for me and will call me next week when they come in and will put them in my frames -- again for no charge and again with a "thank you for coming in." I can't imagine wanting to buy glasses anywhere else

I am deeply disappointed with highly unethical and unprofessional treatment my wife and I received…read morefrom Reed Optical https://www.reedoptical.com/ at both Clermont Office and the Sunapee Office. We first visited the Claremont Office in May, the examination was extremely quick and hasty. It was definitely the least thorough examination we have ever experienced. When we arrived to pickup the glasses (4 pairs in total) they were all wrong - they were definitely worse than our old pairs! We were advised to try them which we did but after a few days it was even more clear that they were all wrong. We requested another visit with the doctor to fix the problem. That time we went to the Sunapee Office. The examination was much longer. We pickup up the glasses two weeks later. My wife's glasses were not perfect but there was an improvement over the previous pairs and my wife decided to keep them. I got two pairs - one was OK but the other one, for driving, was terrible, much worse than the previous one. The prism correction was set incorrectly and I saw double image! They advised me to still try them at home which I hesitantly agreed to, but after a few days, it was clear they did not work at all. They finally agreed to partially (70% rather than 100%) reimburse me for the wrong pair of glasses. I also used my vision and medical insurance allowance, which means that now I am not eligible for insurance coverage for the next two years! Highly unfair, basically cheating I have no driving glasses but they costs me hundreds.
