I have experienced multiple issues with billing. At my last appointment i paid in full for the…read moreservices and Glasses/contacts. Four months later I received a bill for an additional Service that I did Not have. I called to explain and was told by the billing rep that she would look into it. Several months later I received another bill. But now the calculations for what was paid,insurance deductions.etc. were changed but still it was the same Balance that was in the previous bill. Some time after that I was contacted by a debt collector and told them I'm happy to pay what I owe when I have a proper itemization. After that I received a bill for more than twice the original. Again no Details were provided. Shortly After that I received another bill for yet a different amount. Again no Details. Now I have not a clue what the actually costs were and what amount to pay. Needless to say I have no faith in this company and won't be returning. They are not transparent in their billing practices.

During our drive here, both of my pairs of glasses broke. The temples on each pair came apart near the joint. I found Hartzell online, and stopped in on Monday to see if they could be fixed. The woman who was working there couldn't not have been more friendly, polite, or helpful. Neither of my frames are currently made or in stock. That didn't stop her. She was able to find a piece in her spare parts that fit one of the frames. She glued the other. The whole process took less than 10 minutes. The kicker was that she didn't charge me. She said there was no charge for glue, or for spare parts. She wished me well, and sent me on my way. Nothing could have been done differently to make this experience any better. It was perfect, and I am very grateful! I'd leave ten stars if I could.

This place is unadulterated trash. I have an NVA eye insurance plan, which isn't accepts at too…read moremany places locally. So on one occasion two years ago I purchased eyes glasses and lenses from them. After a mere three tries they got the prescription right. Each time I advised the box of rocks that work there that the script was wrong the information was met with indignation. (Shout out to the ladies at Walmart who were kind enough to keep checking the lenses for me. Wish that Walmart took my eye plan.) I vowed to never return to this void of customer service and professionalism. Now, regrettably, two years later I stopped in because I was looking for a particular frame that I found on line. My optician has a very limited array of frames. I entered Allegheny at 5:48pm and greeted the two counter holders with a "hello" and received no response. I strode to the women's section and started looking at frames. The counter holders, without leaving their perches, asked me if they could help me. I replied, " I am looking at frames." They proceeded to talk about the plight of their long work days (Mondays for the one to be exact), childcare, soccer games, ect... Then I got the hint that every customer loves to hear, "... you should just bring your phone out here since we close on two minutes." When I got home I was almost too embarrassed to tell my husband of the experience because ultimately he gave me the, "I thought we were not going to shop there again" speech. This was certainly the case, however, I truly do try to shop local. I even have my online orders delivered to local stores when possible with the hopes that it helps provide some level of value to the community's brick and mortar stores for even this companies that are larger (e.g. Target), which provide local jobs. That said, if this joint closes shop it would be a community service. I wish I could give this establishment a negative two stars 1) for horrid customer service and 2) for failing repeatedly to get a single lenses polycarbonate prescription right.

I have had numerous issues with this company regarding billing. They sent me an additional bill 5…read moremonths after my appointment. I had paid in full at that time. At least that was what I was told. The charge on this new bill was for something I didn't receive. I called and told the rep that. She said she would look into it. I then received a bill with the same amount owed but with no Information about what the additional charge was for. I was then contacted by a Debt Collector. I told them that if I received an itemized bill ( which other medical providers always do) I have no problem paying what is fairly owed. Then I received a bill for nearly three times the amount of the original bill! As with the earlier bill, there was no explanation about what the charge was for. Like the previous reviewer I have been with Dr Harris for many years and had excellent care and never an issue with billing and payment. But I don't think I can continue to see her at that location. At this point I have no trust in MyEyeDr and won't use their services. So I most heartily do not recommend this business.

steer clear of myeyedr. my exam was in june 2024; it is now late march 2025...and i just got an…read moreoutrageously high invoice, nearly $600. first, what took so long to receive the invoice. second, i have insurance that fully pays for the exam. third, the price i was quoted when i purchased the glasses is not the price listed on this invoice. not only that, there are other charges related to the glasses that, while at the counter trying on the glasses, i was repeatedly told was not extra. i was quoted a price for the frames and coating, etc., and i paid that amount out of pocket the day i had my exam. when i went to pick up my glasses, i asked whether i owed anything else. "nope, you're all done!" was the response. and yet, nine months later, i receive a mind-blowing invoice that could match a mortgage payment. what the heck????????? shame on you, kim harris. note to the person who replies to these negative reviews: save the response to my negative review. don't waste space with empty words. but do prepare to hear from the pa state ags office as i plan to file a complaint against your organization. i hope others who've left negative reviews also file a complaint for hidden medical fees, shady business practices, etc. i also plan to file a complaint with the better business bureau. if you want to expose this company, which is owned by goldman sachs by the way, take the time to file a complaint to either the state ags office or the bbb.

I get so inflamed from the process that I usually have to hide out for several hours afterward, but since no one knew me here, I thought I'd take advantage of my anonymity and boldly walk through town looking like I got punched in the mouth. I found SCG merely by chance and am so glad I did! First of all, the interior is airy and the employees, friendly. They took me without an appointment, but for the short time I had to wait, they offered me water in a glass glass. Such a delight (and environmentally correct) in this age of plastic. The woman who waxed my lip, was personable, capable, and fast. Then when I went up to pay, the women at the desk called her back over and asked her to tone me down with some makeup. It was perfect! She did a great job of covering the redness of my upper lip. I felt pampered and relaxed at SCG. Wish they'd open a salon in Pittsburgh!
