I just want to say though that Lauren, the young lady working here tonight is an absolutely outstanding professional. During my wait Lauren had a customer that was very unpleasant with her for no reason. When she went over the charges and coverage of the woman's insurance (that has nothing to do with her) the woman became so irate, raising her voice, and even cursing at one point, all because she "wasn't understanding" why her policy covered what discounts she was getting (which she knew). Although under pressure, Lauren remained so "cool, calm, and collected" as she tried calling multiple times to find out more information to explain in detail why it was what it was. Even talking to someone on the woman's phone line to explain as welll. Good job Lauren, you didn't deserve that situation but you never lost your professionalism. Keep doing such a great job! I will always be coming back to this location no matter where I am in Orlando. I'll go out of my way!

I was informed that this location performs retinal imaging for an additional charge. I specifically declined the retinal imaging and explained that I only wanted the routine eye examination covered under my insurance. I was then told that I could not schedule or receive my eye examination at this location unless I agreed to the retinal imaging and paid the additional charge. Since I declined the additional service, I left without receiving my eye examination. After leaving, I contacted EyeMed directly to verify my benefits. EyeMed confirmed that my routine eye examination has a $0 copay and that refraction and dilation are included as components of my comprehensive eye examination. EyeMed also could not find coverage under my plan for the separate retinal imaging service. I later called this Target Optical location directly, and the representative confirmed that at this particular location they perform retinal imaging. My issue is not that Target Optical offers retinal imaging or charges for a service that my insurance doesn't cover. My issue is that I declined the additional service and was not allowed to receive the routine eye examination that I went there for. Patients should be able to decline an additional service without being denied access to the routine examination covered by their insurance. I have formally documented my experience with EyeMed and requested that this practice be reviewed. I will be getting my eye examination from another EyeMed provider.

The only catch is you can't accept the advertised specials, i.e., buy one frame get one free, that they offer to everyone. You cant stack discounts for non-insurance clients and insurance benefits. You either get the advertised special or use your insurance benefits. They have many frames for women, men, and children. They don't carry Gucci, channel, or Prada but have Ray-Ban, Calvin Klein, Coach, Nine West, Kate Spade, Longchamp, and more. I also really like their return/exchange policy it's 100 days! Sometimes I have buyer's remorse, and it's nice shopping somewhere that allows you to try out frames and return them if you need to.

He went in the back a few times to look for different colors and helped with minor adjustments too. I had trouble with some of their wide width glasses still being a bit too tight and he found some that were extra wide, and those fit a lot better. Usually I'm fine, but none of their frames had those springs that make the arms(legs?) go outwards. I had glasses like this before and they squeezed my head and gave me a headache. I understand they can be adjusted but past history wants me only wanting those glassed with springs. The price wasn't too bad with the frames and progressive lenses. I planned on going back if I didn't find something elsewhere, but I got lucky at another place. I already had a prescription, so I was just looking for frames and lenses and can't comment on the eye inspection (is that what it's called?)

There must not be much turnover because we've been going there for just over 3 years and Jason and Carolyn have been there helping us every year! I feel like this is so rare and this place is such a gem. They're awesome. Just so friendly and helpful. It's nice to have a doctors office where you can trust the doctors AND the staff. My husband and I get eye exams there and contact lens exams as well. They take insurance but they also can see you without insurance. The cost for an eye exam without insurance is $60 and the contact lens exam is $120. We've gotten glasses there in the past and they're always reasonably priced. I also get my colored contacts from them and my insurance covers it just like any other pair of contacts! How fun right?? The office is great because they've always let me try on the various colors (amethyst, blue, gray, green, hazel... the list goes on!...) and then I order with confidence. They're super accommodating and patient. They never get pushy with sales or finances trying to make us spend more money. They're so respectful! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Very impatient if you did not understand what she was saying, or if you couldn't read a letter or letters on screen, she would repeatedly tell you that you HAD to try and read it, no matter how much you expressed to her your vision was blurry and you couldn't make out the letters. She became kind of upset and annoyed. I have never been to an optometrist who gets annoyed because you can't see. That's why we are here.... Something felt so off that it made me very anxious and uncomfortable. As for the front desk receptionists, they were not friendly and seemed bored with their job. Terrible experience. Not warm and welcoming at all. Sadly, I will definitely be looking for a new Doctor.

Maria sold us the glasses and she was excellent, helpful and professional. we picked up the glasses on 9/9/26. Vicki was our representative. She advised she did not know how to set up the glasses that Vance was the expert at it. By this point only customers were my aunt and me. (NO DOCTOR in store.) Vicki advised glasses needed charging. (No charger provided by Oakley and none in store.) The glasses had some charge left and she attempted to help us, reading the instructions. I struggled and finally paired the glasses to my aunt's phone. So Vicki said you guys go ahead and keep playing with it. I am doing something for the doctor(Sign said NO DOCTOR). Vance was no where in site to help us. I said "what , can't you please help us further ?" She said she did not know. So I packed up the glasses and advised her that we were truly disappointed because they sold the glasses to us and should be able to help us set up. Again, Vance, the expert, did not come out at all to help us. I think that as an agent of these smart glasses, the store should have a spare USB-C cable and have their employees trained to help the customer. Vicki appeared to be wanting to get rid of us ....I guess she had nothing else to offer because she really had no knowledge of the set up, and she advised Vance told her to try and help us on her own. (per her words). When we left another lady had arrived. Hope she received better service. It is a sad situation when you depend on the experts and pay for these expensive glasses and no one is there for the customer.
