Everyone was extremely professional and I told Dr. Ben Larson his office is much more caring than the huge optician office I have been using for far too long. I may change to him now. Their prices also seem reasonable. Only one problem. The appointment had to be rescheduled once and their staff double booked even though they had texted me conformation of my appointment. I showed them what they sent, and they apologized and fit my mother in. But even with that pretty significant mistake I am still giving them 5 stars.

Mixed review: Optometrist is personable and professional,…read moreand the eye exam part I have few issues with, other than I'm annoyed that a retina scan (not covered by insurance) is now mandatory - seems like a cash grab to pay for an expensive machine, and I'd prefer the option to do the retina scan every few years. Because of this it's a 4/5. Frame boutique: I actually chose this practice specifically because they sell Silhouette frames, but they are extremely expensive, and somehow even a worse deal if you just need replacement lenses? I was told "our coatings are SO much better than you can get elsewhere". Ok I said, but less than 2 years after my lenses were replaced in August 2024, all the anti reflective coating was wearing off all around the rims of both lenses?! There is a 2 year warranty, but from the original date of purchase (not date of replacement, apparently). I think I'll be buying my glasses from Costco from now on for 1/4 the cost. My coatings have never worn off from anything I bought there (or that I bought 10 years ago in Miami for that matter). I do not have faith in the the lab WPEA uses.

The technician who did the preliminary check-in (Tara?) was very friendly and made me feel at ease as we went through the routine tests. When Dr. Straughn came in she was very thorough in explaining my options and even gave me some things to think about in the future for sunglasses. When I sat after my exam with Frank to pick out my glasses he was very helpful in helping me make a selection that was not only comfortable but also afforable and looked good on my face. Emily was also great! I booked my appointment completely online and the entire process from start to finish was positive and couldn't have been any easier. There was ample parking behind the building, and the waiting room is separate from the show room which made the process of selecting frames stress free.

Thankfully I don't have any major issues with my eyes; regardless, I am overdue for a full checkup. Scheduling a visit with Dr. Hunt was a breeze. When you call the office a real person picks up on the other end. After a brief conversation and providing my insurance details I had an appointment for the following week, sweet! The representatives at the office call ahead to remind you of your appointment and also send a email if you choose to provide one. The office is tucked away off the main road and is in it's own building; one of several in this medical complex. The staff greet you when you enter and they do a great job keeping everything clean and organized. I was impressed with the layout, fitting areas, and variety of glasses frames they have available. Dr. Hunt was friendly and informative. I asked for the comprehensive vision and eye exam which includes dilation, several visual and ocular tests, and scans of both eyes. Note that dilation and other tests cost about $20 more, each. Dr. Hunt was very knowledgeable and provided valuable feedback while answering all my questions. Dr. Hunt also provided a prescription for glasses that would help reduce strain when reading or driving at night; however, he stated that I have better than 20/20 vision so It's not necessary at this time. All and all I had a great experience at Hunt Eyecare and definitely recommend them. If you are in need of a great optometrist, Dr. Hunt is the one.

Not only do you get an opportunity to see the *very* latest styles out, but you can try them on, ask questions of the reps, check sizing and pricing... Even better, they usually bring out some finger foods and sparkling wine, sometimes even a massage therapist giving chair massages! So, you can relax, have a little bubbly, have a few bites of sushi or strawberries, loosen up some of that tension, and feel fabulous as you get ideas of what frames will make you *look* fabulous. I found my adorable, flattering, modern cat-eye style Mark Jacobs (MJ377 -- see my pic) frames and was impressed to find that....I couldn't find them anywhere else! Seriously -- I had a hard time even finding them via a web search at the time. Hooray for not having to look like everyone else! Donnie and a few of the ladies there were exceptionally courteous and patient with all of my questions, phone calls, etc.Their communication and follow-up was wonderful. They even ordered in a few other frames that they usually don't carry so I could get a better idea of how they would look and feel....even if I didn't even up buying them. And, thankfully, they were also totally honest about what styles/shapes/colors worked for me and what didn't. Donnie also helped me to make sure I wouldn't go over my budget when it came down to the bottom line. I'll definitely be back when I next need frames!
