I was there as a guest, so I can't speak on the experience of the doctor(s). There was plentiful parking. The building was clean, classy, and well taken care of. The waiting room has 2 couches and 2 chairs. There were tons of people there on a midday Wednesday and all the spots were full, but no one was standing or uncomfortable. Actually it was such a cozy spot that the stranger guests waiting were chatting amongst themselves. They also provide complementary coffee and snacks in the lobby. The employees were so professional and kind. You enter to visit the Dr on the right and exit the left to where the glasses are, then talk to someone at a table open to the lobby. Got a bunch of smiles, the appearance of professional care. Went on a Monday, Thursday my VA Doctor calls to tell me that my medication (which I take 3 times a day as a diabetic) can not be filled due to my eye exam was not performed. Contacted EEOptical and was told Dr Presley did not close out my chart and that she was not in office. But they would text her and have her close out my chart and forward my results to the VA. First impressions are everything. So who calls me to apologize? Not Dr Presley, the office Manager. Result? I go three days without insulin because of a lack of professionalism, dedication and lack of concern? So while talking to the office manager I cancelled my wife's and three kid's appointments here. I arrived as a new patient for my 9:40 AM appointment, checking in five minutes early. Despite the office opening at 9:30, the doctor and entire front desk staff were visibly engaged in a staff meeting when I arrived. I was asked to sit and wait while the meeting continued in full view and earshot..discussing topics like performance, appointment confirmations, and daily quotas. Unfortunately, I found this highly unprofessional. As a working professional, I value punctuality and respect for patients' time. I left after several minutes, completely unnoticed. I was initially very excited to find an African American optometrist--my first visit with Dr. Dada was great, and I truly felt heard. Due to my medical condition, I was recommended a specific type of lens that I was told wasn't covered by insurance. From prior experience, most offices verify insurance before or during the appointment, so I trusted that the information provided was accurate. Because I've been experiencing ongoing migraines since December 2024, I was eager for relief and decided to pay the out-of-pocket cost. I was told I could potentially use my benefits for a second pair or submit for reimbursement. When I called my insurance for guidance, I was surprised to learn that my benefits should have applied--everything except the lenses was covered. The insurance rep even called the office on my behalf but reported that the person she spoke with was rude and unhelpful. Wanting clarity, I contacted the office directly. Dr. Dada stated that I didn't have vision benefits at the time of my visit because I had presented my medical card. I've always carried vision insurance, and after the call, I remembered that the front desk did mention I gave the wrong card, so I promptly provided the correct one. The rep I worked with confirmed my benefits but said the lenses weren't covered and that no partial coverage would apply. After two weeks with no update, I followed up--only to find out that no one had reached out to my insurance yet. Eventually, I was told everything was covered except the frames and lenses and that I could come in for a refund. I contacted my insurance again and confirmed the office had misunderstood the benefits. After further clarification, I was told the office had finally spoken with a supervisor and would now submit the claim. I was informed it could take about a month for processing before any refund is issued. I shared my frustrations, especially after being told "neurolenses have never been covered" and that the provider could be audited. The truth is, insurance plans change year to year, and it's the provider's responsibility to verify coverage accurately. I made a decision based on the information I was given--and now I'm not only out of money, but I've also been inconvenienced, and this entire ordeal has triggered a migraine nearly every step of the way. I truly hope this feedback leads to better communication and more thorough insurance verification--for the sake of future patients who place their trust in your care. read more

I had a scary looking floater in my eye, and Dr. Dada was very thorough in checking for any signs of a retinal tear or detachment. The office is cute and quaint, there were snacks and coffee for patients waiting, and the staff members were polite and knowledgeable about the glasses. It's a fantastic practice! read more

Your search for a family optometrist is over - you've found him. Dr. Dada is thorough, knowledgeable, tech savvy, and budget conscious. He doesn't just check your eyes, get your prescription, and have you pick glasses - he reviews your history, any trauma, your family (parents) history. He performs tests specific to said history, then he watches any possible problem areas closely. It's clear he TRULY cares about his patients.
