The person who retrieved my medical record also wrote down my prescription numbers reversed, leading to an additional 20 minutes in the exam and some psychological stress over how confused the Dr was! Phoned 3 times leading up to appt, no one answered. Finally received a call 5 minutes prior that the Dr is running 2 hours behind schedule. There are warnings all over the place saying they'll charge you a late fee. 2 hours. It took 20 minutes to get checked in--you have to write your name down and wait for the front desk to do so. Most staff in plain clothes, no badges, lanyards, or anything identifying, so it's incredibly hard to tell who works here. Have been here an hour. Have almost been run down twice by busy staff busily walking very importantly. They couldn't find my vision insurance using the same insurance card as I always use for vision, and wanted in-depth information about it I've never been asked before.

The fact that not just me, but the other 12ppl here are being totally ignored is unacceptable & inexcusable. If this is not a one-off, I will be choosing another eye dr. Stay tuned for an update. So at 12:35 an assistant appeared & called another patient. Not me. I inquired how much longer was the wait time as I had been waiting over 2hrs. The response? Flippant & "oh, the wait is 2 1/2-3hrs. I told him he could cross me off. I went to the front desk & informed them why I was leaving & I would not be returning. I got to my car, searched another provider, & set the wheels in motion. What an epic failure & total waste of time!!!! Sad..... bc I actually like the Dr I saw.

When I went to pick up, the glasses didn't feel like they fit. Too big. So I said something. The attendant put them back on my face and pressed them down into my ears telling me they were fine. I would end up going back FIVE TIMES to have the new glasses adjusted because they were too big. Each time being told thinga like "they're fine, they fit fine I don't understand what the problem is, try this adjustment out for a little while", and my favorite, "why are you working outside, of course they'll feel too big in the heat". Meanwhile, I was wearing a broken pair of old glasses because the new ones DIDN'T FIT. I go back and complain, saying I want to exchange. They did do the exchange but did not refund me the difference between the new pair that were too big and newer pair that fit.

I loved those glasses with my WHOLE heart and wore them throughout the first couple years of my time at Cornell, prior to my prescription changing. While I now only peruse their collections in-store or online from time to time, I have always appreciated how they've kept up with the trends in styles and their wide range/variety in frame styles, shapes, colors, you name it. They offer such unique looks as well and it's just a great eyecare store. Even though I haven't had the insurance that SEE takes to have my frames and exams fully covered here, I never rule them out of rotation when shopping for new frames. I do get a slight percentage off, so I keep that in mind as well. It also helps that any time I've visited their storefront that the staff is AMAZING. I went to their store this past weekend to take a gander at some of their frames and was helped by Lillian - she was just a doll! Super sweet, kind and very knowledgeable of the frames. She helped me determine some pricing of frames that I was interested in as well as looked up my insurance benefits to give me snapshot of what my insurance would cover in their store. Again, my current insurance through my job is not an insurance that they take, however, I do get some discounts with my current insurance. All in all, this eyewear store is just a gem! The folks at Eyes & Optics came recommended by a friend, plus their reviews are really great on here. He's had a few appointments to help him get used to putting his contacts in as well as to find the right prescription (his is pretty tricky). In the meantime, we went in together to help him find a new pair of glasses. There are tons of great options here and we were a bit overwhelmed. There's a super nice guy (didn't catch his name, but he has long hair) who offered us assistance. Chris recognized him from when he went in a year ago with Warby Parker glasses (that he didn't buy there) and asked if they could help fit it to his face. At the time, Chris was open to paying for the work, since the glasses weren't purchased from this shop, but this same man helped him and fixed the fit issue at no cost. Anyway, this gentleman helped us narrow down some options and then grabbed a pair from the back that he thought would work well with his face shape. And wouldn't you know it- that was the pair that looked the best! Turns out they know what they're doing! Overall, the location is clean and bright and the staff has proven to be immensely helpful and welcoming to all. Big fan!
