1. Greeters don't greet, but they will frisk you if you don't present a receipt while departing with a bag of cat food. 2. They got rid of bags, now I buy way less when having to come here 3. When I had groceries delivered the driver literally grabbed my arm while I was picking up bags to bring them into house. 4. Though they have many self checkouts, only a handful are open at a time, and so we are standing in long lines. 5. If you try and order something at the deli, they don't acknowledge you there. Last time I just walked away while they were chatting behind the counter. 6. A few employees look homeless (non-groomed). Though I'm glad that, if in fact they are homeless, they have a job. 7. Garden area is never open from the outside, and so if you park at that entrance be prepared to walk a block to the next entrance... which you'll find locked as well. 8. Why spend time writing this review. Because, apart from all this, I still am insane enough to shop here! PS Pharmacy actually is great. I placed an order online that included alcohol. When I went to pick it up, the employee had my order in a bag, including the alcohol. He said that they had a policy that they couldn't sell alcohol unless the other items in the order were more than $35. I was not given an option other than taking the nonalcoholic items or taking nothing. The app didn't show this as a policy. I have placed online orders at other Walmart stores for just alcohol and have not had any issues when picking them up. Why does this store have different policies than other Spokane stores? Why don't they inform the customer before they make the trip to pick up the order? read more

They replaced most of the registers with self checkout, but at any given time at least half of the self checkout lines are open. Now that they have rolled out whatever Walmart+ is, one lane is dedicated to only them. No matter what time of day I go in the shelves look like they need to be stocked. For the company that essentially invented "Just In Time" inventory practices, they really need to update their inventory needs. I often find bits of trash in places around the store as well. Paint counter is pretty much never manned, and by the time someone comes by it is a person who knows nothing about paint. Kristen, who supposedly is the acting store manager at store 02539, quite literally is the most inconsiderate, blatantly rude, unhelpful individual I have ever had the unpleasant luck of having to interact with. Last week, I tried purchasing 4 $500 Visa gift cards as we are running a rent concession special at my place of work right now. The young woman cashing me out stated that I was unable to purchase all 4 gift cards because of 'scams' that have been occurring. Mind you, this was after all 4 cards had already been rang up. 2 Visa Gift Cards were voided and I paid for the other two. After further inspection, both gift cards that I had been given were the voided ones, and the other two I had paid for were kept by the employee. Fast forward to today, I attempted to go to Customer Service to get help and resolve being given two gift cards that were not activated. The "acting" store manager Kristen, approximately 5'9 with long brown hair, supposedly reviewed the footage and refused to help me. She would not even look at the receipt that I was providing which clearly showed the two cards I had in hand were void by her employee. Not only was I met with eye-rolling, and blatant disrespect. I was told that I had to immediately leave the store. So beware! This store advocates for theft by their employees and allows incompetent managers to disrespect customers. Big heavyweight loss and prevention prevented my wife from leaving store on April 14, 2022 at est. 10:20pm. Falsely claiming she was stealing items (all were verified from another employee who saw the interaction) she offered the receipt to him 2 times. Individual pushed the cart back against her, hurting her stomach, (she is pregnant). Whole interaction was video taped as well. If I could give zero stars I would. I purchased gifts at this store on the 18th of this month, I wanted to buy 4 of them and the cashier rang up all 4 and then at the last minute said I'm sorry I can only sell you 2, due to scams. I said, fine whatever, she voided all of them and re-rang up the 2 gift cards. These were for work as an incentive for move-ins at an apartment community. When the residents went to use them, they were told there wasn't any money on them. I went to this Walmart yesterday and asked to talk with a manger about it, these weren't not small amounts - both should have had $500 on them. The GM Kristen said she looked at the camera footage and saw that before the cashier gave them to me, she saw her verify the correct ones were given to me. I have the receipt and the gift cards, and when I tired to explain to Kristen that unless she was able to zoom in on the number of the cards given to me, she really couldn't be sure. I also asked her to explain why the 2 cards listed at the top didn't match what I have but they do match the 2 that were voided. She told me this wasn't the stores issue and I have to call Visa customer service. I told her that is BS!, this is due to her employee either making a mistake or pocketing $1000. Either way, I am not the one that should have to chase down the money for the gift cards. She waved her hand at me, rolled her eyes and told me to leave her store. Kristen was rude, dismissive and made me feel like a criminal. I called after I left the store asking to talk with the store manager Angela, according to the front desk she was doing inventory and to call again today, which I did. I was on hold for about 25 mins, being passed around the store. Another manager Rebecca called me a bitch when she had thought I was put on hold but wasn't. One min Angela is not there and then she is but in a meeting and then leave a message she will just have to call you back. I called again about 10 minutes ago and wouldn't you know it Angela is in another meeting, and they needed my number again because they couldn't find it from this morning. I have been a manger for over 14 years, I am utterly astounded at the way I have been treated at this store. This is a large amount of money and it is like they do not care at all. Just needed three things which are cheaper here and braved the place just after 9am during the holidays. (Note: do not kid yourselves, folks, you can get cheaper groceries at Winco and at Safeway/Super1 on sale, and the other stuff I buy cheaper at Big Lots and at Target) - No hand baskets at the Pharmacy entrance (someone had dropped off six by the time I left). - The shelves were a mess with one item that I wanted and I wanted to buy three . . . I dug around and found a few more behind the items next to them. Poor shelving, folks . . . seriously. - Cashier said neither good morning (when I walked up) or thank you (when I left). Went to the Broadway store yesterday evening. The "greeter" was a slovenly guy who looked like the head of the Mongols MC club. As I walked by, he screamed at the top of his lung to another employee deep in the store "Hey, what time do you get off work?" Looking for the bar soap, the first girl wasn't helpful. Getting to the general area, I had to flag down a young girl with blue hair and a floor length rainbow gay pride flag worn as a cape around her neck. I came looking for soap. I couldn't care less about her sexual orientation, her preferred pronoun or what she identifies with and greatly resent having to deal with that so I can give Walmart a hundred bucks. If I had worn a MAGA hat, a picture of Donald Trump on my t-shirt or a confederate flag around MY neck, I'm sure I would have been told to leave. As usual, the store looked dirty and in disarray. I want to give the Broadway Walmart in Spokane valley a zero rating. I am a delivery driver for spark, and make my money by receiving orders from Walmart and delivering to customers. It's come to my attention that, the people that give us drivers the customer's orders can and at this specific Walmart WILL, cancel orders that have already been accepted. The supervisor Hannah at the Broadway location canceled 3 of my orders as l was waiting for them. Costing me money from each potential delivery. As I said, these orders were already accepted, and I was waiting for the curbside workers to deliver the customers items, when Hannah went out of her way to cancel those 3 orders back to back. There is biased preferential treatment made by Hannah. This to me seems very unprofessional and should be a means to fire someone abusing their position of authority. Let it be known she is friends with other drivers at this location and they also harass me on personal matters. This behavior seems to be encouraging harassment and bias treatment at this location. read more

It seems this walmart not only has felt like more of a prison overtime, but do not attempt to have groceries delivered; they never show. No longer are there greeters but gates, alarms and prison guards who stare you down, demand proof of purchase, as if we pay a membership. Circle vehicles in the parking lot in a thug like fashion, in big black trucks intended to intimidate, even the most innocent of shoppers. Always Sheriff presence (as if they even want to be there, working at Walmart), always unpleasant at Wallimart, and yet why continue to shop there like a sheep? Think I'm finally done after so many years of seeing this monopolizing machine go further down hill. Whatever you do don't pay for the delivery service here, I got the 1 year subscription, and have had nothing but problems. Anytime you have someone shop for you there will be problems with your order, but with Walmart they go above and beyond to disappoint. Since getting this service I have had multiple orders show up hours late, one of them was 36 hours late. But worst of all a lot of the times they won't show up at all, and what's worse, they won't call you to even tell you they aren't coming. You will eventually get an email (usually the next day) saying that they are sorry but they cancelled your order. They never give a reason, they just arbitrarily decide they don't want to fill it. One time when I called to complain, the lady on the phone confided in me that it got really busy, so the manager decided to just cancel everyone's orders so that they wouldn't have to work to hard. read more

This is a smaller Walmart and they do not carry the same amount of inventory and selection as the other stores. To boot, they are often out of the items they do carry. I'm not sure if it's a receiving issue or a stocking issue or what, but I hope they get it together. I live right up the street from this store but drive further to go to a store where I know they will have the kind of butter I like. Yes, I'm saying that they are often out of staple products. Also, I did order from them the other day and, while they fulfilled my drive up order, it took them twenty-four hours to get it ready. The other stores do it in two to four hours. I'm giving them three stars because it's an okay store, but it's not going to knock your socks off. read more

Really helpful staff! Helped identify the correct oil and filter for my BMW! They went out of their way to make sure everything was what I needed and helped me check out quick and easy! Didn't even have to deal with the normal Walmart clientele because I got to pull around back! So this location doesn't get alot of African Americans and you can tell. Im not from this area, I'm from Florida, I was only here for work. I had purchased my items at the beauty counter, they gave me a bag with MY things in it and I went about my way. I was using the exit by the pharmacy counter, as I left out, in front of me was a Caucasian woman with a bag that was heading out the door just like I was. The young lady that was keeping count of the people that come in and out at this exit, saw the Caucasian lady leave out with her bag. As I attempted to leave out as well with MY bag, the young lady that was checking people in and out asked to see my receipt... now this puzzled me because I had just seen a Caucasian woman leave out with a bag and she said nothing to her but she questioned me. This made me feel very uncomfortable and uneasy about this location. This was the only issue that I have had with an employee here, the other 2 times that I came was fine. Walmart can sometimes have some really good stuff. It does have really good holiday stuff,food, outdoors stuff,and toys. They have a really good self checkout that is not difficult to use. This is definitely a good Black Friday store but there is two things they need three things they need to improve. I would say that they might need better security because one time there was a guy walking around asking for money but that's not really there fault. 2nd thing is clothing I like the kids clothing but the adult clothing just needs to get a bit better. Thank you to the Refund service team and the store Management. They were able to help me when Corporate Customers Service FAILED at reaching a reasonable solution to my Gift Card problem. I spent 3 weeks with the home office playing the merry go-round game and nothing. I went to the store with the card, all paperwork asked of me by corporate, and five emails and the names of the half a dozen of the corporate service reps. The reps were all great, it was the team in "Level Two " that seamed not to understand customer service. After 15 Min. in the store BINGO, I walked out with a new gift card. Honestly, this is not my first choice to shop. As a matter of fact, i usually drive an extra 30 minutes to go to Idaho. However, I just ordered tires on Walmart.com and they sent the wrong ones. I mean a whole different size worth about 500 dollars less. Walmart was not letting me return them and if I did i had to jump through 100 loops. After a short period of time the tire department at this branch and the auto care manager Stephen Walsh put the nose to the grindstone and got everything and more taken care of for me. Called after visiting the Sprague store to see if they had the shirts I was looking for in stock. First time the phone rang about 50 times(no exaggeration) before someone picked up and immediately hung up. Called back immediately and after about 30 rings someone finally answered again. I had the product number from the other Walmart all ready to give them to punch in and look it up, and told him that. He put me on hold to transfer me to apparel instead, and 25 minutes later someone finally picked up. Ridiculous, and not the first time I've tried to call this store to be hung up on or have no one answer. read more

Visited during July 4th weekend. They were pretty busy, but I was able to get what I came for and get out despite what at first glance were long lines. Great prices. While I know Walmart gets a bad rap, the cashier that checked me out and the other cashiers nearby were genuinely nice in spite of how busy they were. I didn't feel rushed and even had a pleasant conversation with the cashier about her dog. Nice lady. I wish I could remember her name. Glad to have them just a few minutes away. read more

I cancelled an online order within 2 hours after making it. The order was supposed to be ready within the same day but was taking way to long for employees who were doing nothing when i went in to get the stuff myself. i cancelled the order long before it was even started. two employees who i spoke with through the chat room told me my cancellation request was approved. then my card was charged. i contacted them again and they stated my money would be refunded. it never was. i contacted for a 3rd time and Joseph P told me it was denied and i would not be getting a refund...after i was already told it was accepted. this is not ok. very bad customer service. i always have issues with online orders no matter which way i do it. note: I do live in Spokane WA read more

I have been using the Walmart online order groceries pick up for about 2 years now. The last 2 orders I have placed and picked up had multiple items the were "out of stock" when I came to the store. The first explanation, from the person loading my food, was that the last Tuesday of every month was their inventory day. Today half my order was out of stock and their explanation was "their system is not efficient". Drove home and saw that the items still said they were in stock on the Walmart Groceries website. So, either their system is "not efficient" like the employee told me, or the people gathering the food for the customer's is not efficient. Had to go to another store to complete my order. read more

I went to this walmart store two times tonight. First time I went to this store right with my sister and was trying to buy a pack of cigarette. I forgot to bring my ID so we failed to buy the cigarette even my sister had her ID and I was fine with it because I didn't have my ID with me. The second time my sister went there alone buy herself however the cashier( same lady as the first time) refused to sell her the cigarette still and told the other cashier that my sister was with a girl who doesn't have an ID. The third time my sister went back to the store which is my second time to the store we both brought our IDs, I am 25 and my sister is 29, the cashier still wouldn't wanna sell us the cigarette and said "if I said no, then I'm not gonna sell you the cigarette within 24 hours" and told me this is the US law! What the hell! When I asked if I can see the written version of the law she said she would bring the manager, the manager said: it's walmart policy! I think the government law is we need to how our ID and prove that we are not underaged. The case here is we both brought our IDs the last time! Ridiculous! so here are some points about this walmart: point 1: these people at walmart were lying! Point 2: walmart employees are not well trained.
