We were in the area so stopped in this Walmart to pick up a few items. Check hours as it was not open 24 hours due to covid? Prices are great (like in other locations). It was late so you can see the staff cleaning/setting up for the next day. If I am in the area I would definitely return. read more

Well first I had a bad experience in August for a birthday cupcakes I ordered after I hour of placing my order in advance I called and made revisions to the original order however upon picking up they never did do the revise order claimed they never had it just show how incompetent workers are there to not give a damn and gave me the incorrect one and didn't really care however the store manager that day helped me in the situation however I will never order again from the bakery of this Walmart Then a week ago a young girl working the deli was first very slow and unexperienced I ask Tj have my ham sliced very thin and she wasn't capable of doing it nor did she try to get anyone to help her Hate somerset and Walmart I didn't expect anything better when it comes to somerset read more

Somerset deserves better than this place, and the store manager should be ashamed. The patrons are 1000% more friendly and polite than the employees. The employees are incredibly rude, impolite, and incompetent. It has been an issue with this particular store in Somerset, PA for 20+ years, but it has sadly gotten much worse post-pandemic. If you are a fan of being ignored and condescended then I highly suggest you go to this absolute dumpster fire of a store. Wal-Mart corporate really should come in and fire most of the staff. Nothing particularly impressive about this place. It is obviously one of the main places for shopping in the area which is a good and bad thing. The good is the pricing, it's usually low. The bad is that there is hardly any competition. I did not see many other stores of the like in the area. Not even a mall nearby. read more

I like the idea of having a Walmart supercenter, because it is a one stop shopping for me.

There's a few Walmart's worth driving to living closer to Johnstown but somerset Walmart is the last one I'd go to I drive out of my way to goto Latrobe Walmart Johnstown Walmart blarsville Walmart but I will not go to the closest Walmart somerset Walmart it's always dirty unhelpful employees I hate being watched from the second I walk in to that Walmart because I'm covered in tattoos my skin does not make me a criminal I have never committed any crime in my 27years of life and it's only somerset Walmart that harasses people and I broke my spine and after the braces were off it hurt to walk to this day it hurts to walk but when I didn't have a brace on because I'm young they made me get off the electric cart/scooter it was embarrassing and traumatizing the employees made a big scene and I ended up leaving not able to buy items I needed they made Me feel as if I should not be useing them because they are for elderly and disabled and I am DISABLED was I supposed to carry my X-rays around or wear my braces for my spine every time once I was free of them ??? Okay short version: rude nasty vindictive and angry . Okay long version It's memorial day they are the only pharmacy open I right off the bat understand they are going to busy and maybe upset. I drop off my prescriptions. The lady right off the bat treats me like a bother and trash. Ohhh okay that's fine busy day rather be home right? Got you. I asked when it would be ready got nothing. " we can text you." Okay sign me up. Got my number and that was it waited over 2 hours to get something any thing. So I went back in waited in line. Instead of being told anything she automatically yells " OH THIS IS THE ONE WERE HAVING TROUBLE WITH. " thanks for telling row 7 my order is an issue. Well my insurance was giving them grievances. That's okay I asked if there was anything I could do show up something else you know help. All the time mind you I have strep throat and little Timmy 3 feet down the store probably has it because I'm contagious . Well they treated me like shit cause I have a medical card. I assure you I work a 40 plus hour job. I'm not sucking off the system like they implied. I asked how much was it cash wise 44 for one bottle and the one I really needed for my 5 year old they don't have. Thank you for making me wait over 2 hours to be ran into the dirt. I wish I could of thrown a fit , no I cried quietly and left. So it gets better. I had the er call to call in some cheaper medicine. According to the nurse. She called the phone rang for a few minutes straight and then they picked up the phone and put it straight back down. The nurse was absolutely digusted by them as well. Friendly employees, usually well stocked, and I love the new scan as you shop feature this Walmart has implemented recently. I've been to a lot of Walmarts and this is the one I can get in and out of the quickest. This Walmart in Somerset PA is also cleaner and better organized than most Walmarts. I hate to shop so when I must I like to get it all done as quickly and efficiently as possible and now with the scan as you go feature it's a much quicker and smooth transaction. I must mention that the optical department does a fine job with prescription eyeglasses and I appreciate that they will make adjustments if needed long after I've been wearing the glasses. I am thankful for this convient affordable place to shop! read more

This store is super clean and the parking lot doesn't look like a landfill. The shelves are always stocked and the selection is good. I love how the grocery pick up is off to the side of the building out of the way of the rest of the parking lot. Also, the on line pickup is in the front of the store, making it much more accommodating than having it in the back of the store. The 30 minute drive from Johnstown is well worth it for a stress free shopping experience. read more

The customer service here is the worst I've ever experienced. I asked an employee if there were any lawn chairs and if so where would they be, and he did not acknowledge I was standing there as he did not make any eye contact with me during the entire conversation. He actually turned his head the other way. He told me that lawn chairs would be in the garden section. I advised that I already looked there and would like to know if that is the only place they could be. Without looking at me, he mumbled that the garden center is the only place they would be. I thanked him and he still did not acknowledge me. Within 60 seconds of walking away, I stumbled upon the rest of the lawn chairs in another section of the store. I also witnessed about 70% of the people in the store not wearing face masks and none of the employees were upholding the state's mandate for the customers to wear them - which is a public health hazard. Needed a tire and came here off the Turnpike. Found a $75 tire online, the attendant found me one for $58 that totaled $73 after installation. They were quick and didn't give me any flack when I corrected them to take my leaking tire rather than the one with worse tread. Quick and painless and we were back on the road after some Subway!
