Unfortunately, they've been closed since Sunday, so I wasn't able to squeeze in one more visit before heading home. The portions here are incredible--even the baby-size ice cream is huge and more than enough for most people. The prices are very reasonable, making it an excellent value. The French vanilla milkshake was exceptional--rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. I also picked up some Swiss cheese, and it was just as impressive. Whether you're stopping in for ice cream, a milkshake, or some of their dairy products, this place offers fantastic quality at an affordable price. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in the area.

The prepared items cover everything from prepared deli salads and cheese to hot sauces and pickles to locally processed meat. I'm not into the butcher aspect, but I appreciate the local and sustainable sourcing. The food is good and well thought out. The space is very nicely designed and well maintained. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated that they were willing to prepare a breakfast sandwich for me and my partner with the ham on the side. Everybody won, with me getting a vegetarian breakfast sandwich and my partner getting some sliced ham to add to her portion. All told, this is an excellent establishment for a low key outing while you're visiting Ligonier. The hours are extensive, so it fills just about any breakfast/lunch/snack type need. It honestly has the feel of an early stage Starbucks with a friendly "enjoy this space with friends" vibe combined with a hip local grocery store.

And my sausage, egg and cheese sandwich was fantastic. Fresh eggs, huge piece of sausage, great roll and very nicely seasoned. It might be the best I've ever had. Coffee was very good as well. I don't get the all the negative reviews but I guess people around these parts have different expectations. I'd come back here in a heartbeat.

Taste testing was highly encouraged and if the product did not have a sample laying out, the employee made up a sample in the back. They have an array of flavored oils that may all be sampled. I ended up with a fig balsamic that I use as a salad dressing. It has become my new favorite. I purchased the bacon flavored oil for my brother in law who enjoyed it. Recently, I tried the house blend and really liked it! I may have to add that to my list the next time I am in town. In addition to oils, they have a variety of spreads, marmalade's, nut butters, sauces, and seasonings. A salted caramel spread drew us in and we have used it on ice cream and pancakes. Last time, they had a spiced chai nut butter that was to die for! Finally, my brother in law raved about one of the meat rubs I purchased for him. I will return to this store every time I am in Bedford whether it is to purchase items I already like or to find something new/different to add to my cupboards.

This section of Route 30 in particular is a two lane stretch and can feel monotonous to drive. To note, even though this is labelled as Glassmere Fuel Service, they offer Gulf fuel. That seems to be what is happening to all Glassmere stations. If you go to look for this under Gulf, or their website, it will still pop up as Glassmere Fuel Service. Seeing how there is no competition anywhere nearby, the price of gas is basically what you are stuck with. Four total pumps, not much else going on with the outside. I know a lot of people are raving about the diner portion of this business, but I was not able to partake in that. When I was here the diner was closed. I am assuming just for the time being, but I am not sure. I hope it is not because I would sure love to try the food.

I went for ice cream but was staring at the prepared foods section when a young lady asked if I was there for food or ice cream - I said I wasn't really sure so she showed me everything that was available then prepared my to-go container (which I ate inside at one of the tables) and then got a gigantic "medium" twist cone for the road. I should have taken a picture but I had already licked the top of the cone. Everything was great: the gals working here were all super friendly, the food was terrific, and the ice cream was extremely cold soft-serve so it didn't melt the moment I walked outside - that was important on a 93 degree day. I left happy for a great meal and a positive experience. I used to ride my motorcycle past here I have no idea how many times and wish I'd stopped but now I have a place to come for food that's delicious and not a chain. Thanks!
