If I may describe to you how this place looks, let's. You ever walk into a teenager's room after you tell them to clean it up? You know that items-thrown-everywhere look? That's this place. They may have updated the name on the outside of the building and the signage inside, but that is about all they have updated. It looks very drab and dim in here. It feels unorganized. Worst of all, there is too much stuff. To the point that it is almost un-navigable. The aisles are so narrow that you cannot have more than two people in them. It is very hard to browse the items. Pricing here does not seem all that great for a store that claims to be up to 70% off. When a clearance item is only $5 cheaper, that's not really a steal. It was very odd, some items that were exactly the same would both be on the clearance rack and regular rack. They also had clearance items just kind of tossed together outside prior to walking into this place. It was a mess altogether.

I visited LaVale, MD Tractor Supply a few weeks ago to inquire about a sale item - Bonnie Veg…read more plants. I didn't see any outside, and none in the store (the only plants in the store were starter-rose bushes). I asked the clerk at the register if they could be outside in their "garden area", and he told me that it was not actually a garden area, more of an "outdoor equipment" area. He looked them up with a code - his code came back that their store had ZERO quantity. I then asked for a raincheck. He asked me to go back to the Customer Service desk to "Jason", to inquire about a raincheck, as it was not allowing him to do it at his register. I went back there to see Jason, and he also was coming up with a ZERO quantity for the sale plants (mind you, this was on the first day of the sale ad). And, Jason was also not able to produce a raincheck. So I asked if he took my name and number, could someone please give me a call if the store ever got them in. He readily agreed to that, and was helpful and polite. So he took my info, and I left. The next day, in the afternoon, my husband and I happened to be in that same shopping center, and happened to be driving by the Tractor Supply. Out front of the store, at their "outdoor equipment" area, was a large shelving stand of the plants on sale that I had inquired about the day before, with a large sign showing the sale price! Now, I don't know if I missed them because the entrance door was down a ways from that area, or if they actually got them in later the day I was there, or the very next morning. What gripes me is, why did someone not look outside for them while I was there (just on the off-chance, huh?), or AT LEAST call me whenever they "came in" or were "discovered"? I'm personally thinking that those two young men were so embarrassed at their ineptness that they couldn't bring themselves to call me. And no, when my husband and I drove by, I did not stop and buy any of the plants - I will never buy anything there again.

What I like about this one is they have a massive selection of frozen foods and pizza, multiple milk and soda selections and iced tea- plus extensive cheese and butter options. They also have multiple options for ice cream - from the dollar general brands to name brands. Plus - if you're a college student or on a budget - ready to roll frozen pizzas and burritos. Not to mention their extensive options on any and every grocery item. The other DG's have just one or maybe two things- whereas this location has 4/5 options as well. The staff is very friendly as well - and more than anything are helpful with coupons and a large amount of service if you need it.

Like all the other Ollie's out there, the stock of items depend on what buyout they have partaken in. So each aisle is like a bad mixture of items that seem to go together, but really don't have a connection. And if you are looking for a particular item, that is almost always a no. Walking through this maze was not all that fun. I looked for things that I thought I needed, but did not find a single thing that I needed or wanted. I made my way back outside and into the parking lot and left.
