I would've given this store a one but the greeter John was so sweet and welcoming after the most horrific experience I've ever had... So much so that my rage and anger immediately diminished. So here's why I'm leaving this review.... Today, it finally happened. At 42 years old, for the first time, I experienced something I've heard so many others speak about but had not personally encountered so directly--prejudice in plain sight. While checking out at Walmart using the self-checkout lane (around 10 PM, Thursday July 31), I--casually dressed, a doctoral candidate, married mother of three, U.S. Army veteran, career woman, and soon-to-be retiree after a lifetime of hard work--was approached by the attendant. Not to greet me like she had greeted all the other customers. Not to offer assistance. But to ask if I had scanned the box of diapers in my cart as a toy. No explanation. No polite inquiry. Just a direct, unfounded accusation. To be clear: * The writing on the diaper box was large and visible from her station. * She had spoken to every other customer around me--offering smiles, assistance, and casual conversation. * She had never acknowledged me once during my transaction... until it came time to question my integrity. This wasn't a mistake. It was about a bias--one so deeply ingrained that I was singled out despite every indication of honesty and decency. This is exactly how injustice persists. Quietly. Casually. But unmistakably. I was so pissed and offended that actually thought about making a scene there. I left it go and proceeded to leave. At that point I was greeted by really sweet greeter by the name of John. He was so polite that I decided to get in my truck and just come home to tell my husband about it. It's nearly 2AM and I can't seem to fall asleep because the incident is heavily weighing on my mind and I'm trying to figure out if I should've handled it on the spot to prevent anyone else like from experiencing the same thing. read more

We were traveling north when we realized that we had a nail in one of our tires. We went to this Walmart's auto repair section, and though it was after 6:00 in the evening, they quickly got a new tire on our van. I can't exaggerate how professional and helpful they were. read more

I really like this Walmart in Shepherdsville. It is very clean compared to most Walmarts I have been too. They have a wide selection of everything you need from garden materials to food. I enjoy shopping here and recommend it to everyone. read more

We stopped in to the gas station at the Walmart looking for information about where to park our camper van. Tia and Patricia were very knowledgeable about the area and recommended that we camp overnight at the rest area just south of exit 114 on the interstate. They also recommended that tomorrow we check out the Bernheim Forest, off of exit 112. At the same exit, there will be the County fair this weekend - which could be quite exciting. They had no answer for me about why Shepherdsville is the location of so many huge distribution centers: two of them of a scale I have never seen before, basically sitting empty - and a new one being built. Pretty strange! I really did not patronize either the big Walmart store or the gas station, except to talk to Tia and Patricia - both of whom I highly recommend :-). Oh, and yeah, it is a big wide open plane here outside in Shepherdsville - with amazing skies! And one other thing: what's going on with these two huge tits that are surrounded by fence? It makes me suspicious that there's something in there that shouldn't be sitting there. read more

From Walmart on-line, I Ordered 3 bottles of Ashwaganda Capsules from two different sellers ($40.97 total) on May 23, 2023, On May 26, I received a grey sealed package (with my name & address on it) delivered by a plain white car (Ring video) from Walmart Returns of Shepherdsville, KY. Upon opening, it only contained 1 very small deck of playing cards and 1 piece of red plastic about the size of a cell phone. I called Walmart and was told the items must be returned in separate packages. I returned both items received (using Walmart return FedEx labels). Walmart claimed the items returned were not in the white and orange package shipped. I contacted the sellers and they said, they didn't ship them, Walmart shipped them and you need to make the claim with Walmart. Walmart refused to refund the $40.97 because they claimed the Ashwaganda bottles were not returned, but refused to show me the pictures where My order was delivered. Therefore, I filed a stop payment with my Bank Of America credit card & and my credit card has been credited (effective July 05, 2023) even though Walmart contested the refund. Note: the Walmart Agent said "Goodbye" when I wanted to see the picture where my order: Orange and White packages order were delivered. read more

So we shop Walmart a couple times a week. This week we ordered 96 cupcakes in advance to be picked up today. These cupcakes were for a memorial fund raising event. Suddenly Walmart emails and says the order is unavailable and was cancelled. UNACCEPTABLE!! Thank you Walmart for leaving us scrambling to get cupcakes for our event. read more

I've loved this Walmart since it opened. I know that there is theft everywhere because I work in retail but when I a paying customer have to ask for help to get a product off a hook it's really unnecessary. It's a freaking 21 dollar item. Security boxes are fine but the hook curved up and I'm five foot, the damn thing is 6 1/2 foot high. Then I go to electronics where they don't have the key to the cage with the phone chargers. I'll stick with amazon and Kroger. I'm so freaking done shopping at Walmart. read more

This Walmart is always out of stock on everything. Also I have made 4 different online orders to be delivered to my house over the past 3 days and 1 order was just sitting at "hold" for 1 out of 3 items they had that I needed. Another order was supposed to be delivered this morning at 8am and it is now 2pm that still says it is in progress. No call or any notification on when it will actually be here. Do not recommend EVER ordering anything from this store to be delivered to your home because you aren't going to get it. Go to a different Walmart that will actually pick up their phones and not hang up on you after being on hold for forever. read more

This Walmart has always been awful. Now, it's just progressively worse as it goes. Nothing is ever stocked, it always has trash everywhere throughout the store, they'll close one of the entrances and keep the registers open on the closed side open (yes BOTH of them), and it's just poorly ran. Tonight my cashier had commentary for every item the guy in front of me bought. I am now more knowledgeable about red grapefruits than I ever cared to be. Something needs to be done at this Walmart, whether it be hire more employees, offer better wages, or fire everyone and start over. Sadly though, it's Walmart, it will remain open and nothing will be done, cause it's Walmart and everyone will still shop here despite the poor lack of customer service or the ability to properly stock a store. read more

We bought a car radio for my son as a Christmas present at the Shepherdsville Walmart. When it was opened on Christmas morning, we noticed that there were no instructions in the box, so my husband took it back to the store to exchange it. They told him that the serial numbers on the box and radio did not match, so they could not exchange the purchase. He had his receipt and the original box and packaging, so apparently someone else had scammed Walmart and they were taking it out on my husband! He was told to contact the company that manufactured the radio to get a reimbursement, but Walmart could not and would not do anything for him. I am sure they have quite a few people who try to scam them, but we were only trying to exchange the purchase. This was handled quite poorly and the customer service was horrible! read more

This store refuses to honor walmart.com pricing. So if you spend an hour and a half researching baby gates, choose what you want and go to the store to get it then you'll pay MORE. You can order online for pickup at the website prices but I'm not dealing with a store that has policies to cheat the customer. Sad too because its a nice store otherwise. read more

I'm surprised at the negative review I saw of this Walmart. It's been open about 2 years, and I have YET to have experienced anything but positive. The pharmacists and staff are EXCEPTIONAL. They fill the order earlier than they promise and sometime I'll get the text saying it's ready while I'm still in the store shopping. All the people in Pharmacy recognize me by name. Nathan and Courtney are the pharmacists I see most often, and they're always professional and helpful. Carmen, Felisha, and the two other girls I can't remember (I'm so sorry!) are always pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable. The cashiers are always friendly at check-out. It is sometimes a challenge to find a worker on the floor when you are looking for a specific item, but show me a Walmart where that isn't an issue and I'll eat my sock. :-) Overall, I've been very pleased with the Shepherdsville Walmart and glad to have them close by. read more
