Fantastic Kentucky summer sky on June 15.

I got lost out in the country and just wanted to get into the air conditioning and look at my maps. Sunny, the manager, was very welcoming. When I told him that Pancho was a service dog, he was happy with her laying on the cool concrete floor. When I asked to fill a water bottle, he showed me where the sink was. The shop is very attractive: brightly lit, wide aisles, everything very clean. I recommend thisl store very highly.

This is a nice little convenient store located off the beaten path which gives that old fashioned feeling when you go....... Gas prices are always competitive with a fair amount of goods/items inside to choose from. Since this little store is located out by itself on the corner of Mt. Washington & Cedar Creek it just has the basics inside. Such as a cooler full of drinks, large selection of candy, snacks, lotto tickets, beer and car necessities such as motor oil, etc. etc. etc. Same stuff the big name gas stations carry but only on a smaller scale. Which is fine because this place won't get the foot traffic a big name store would get in a busy area, but they do stay pretty steady with customers as there is always a car or two there every time i drive by. I often get gas there and my son likes going there to get beef jerkey. It's family owned and operated as I'm sure the owners live upstairs. Every time I've gone they have always been kind and polite. Which always makes the experience nice!

Fantastic dinner option for our group of 7 prior to attending an event scheduled across the street…read moreat the Brown Theater. This was our first time visit and it'll definitely be on my short list when we are attending future nearby events. (The Louisville Palace Theater is also nearby.) We had a 5 PM reservation and were provided attentive, efficient service and a leisurely pleasant experience. We were even able to depart by 6:15 PM with time to spare. The food and drink options were great and there were multiple options to appeal to the varied tastes (vegan, meat-and-potato, gourmet) in our dining group. I chose a burrito bowl, fajita style (peppers and onions), with grilled chicken. The portion arrived in a quite large bowl and was too much to eat in one sitting. Delicious flavors, fresh ingredients, arrived hot. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals and unanimously agreed we would return. Recommended! Easy accessibility. Outdoor patio dining available and indoor table or pub style counter seating options. We parked in the Brown Hotel garage across the street, but there are other garage options and a few metered street parking spaces which I believe are free after 6 PM. A few of my friends also volunteered that the restrooms were very clean and had unique floors. The interior spaces of the restaurant were lovely. There are large floor to ceiling windows that enable views of the outdoor waterfall wall feature in the courtyard. Very serene spaces for a leisurely meal.

We went on a Friday evening and it wasn't very busy. As soon as we walked in, the staff noticed us right away and asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. Since it was a nice day, we chose to sit outside, which made for a great vibe. Our drinks came out in about five minutes. I ordered the bourbon margarita and it was really good. I definitely enjoyed that. After that, we ordered our food. We got the shredded chicken quesadilla, shrimp tacos, and queso for appetizers. The queso was okay, it tasted like a standard cheese dip and could have used a little more spice or something to make it stand out. The quesadilla, on the other hand, was very good. It was well cooked and seasoned nicely, but I did notice that it didn't come with rice unless you order it separately. The shrimp tacos were also good and I had no complaints there. The staff checked on us a couple of times throughout the visit and were very friendly, which I appreciated. The restaurant itself also looked clean and well kept. Overall, I'd give La Terraza 4 out of 5 stars. It's a solid spot with good food and service, but it didn't feel like your traditional Mexican restaurant and the menu is a bit on the smaller side. Still worth checking out.
