But then remembered seeing a coupon for the sale price last week. I learned the hard way that you should always verify the sale price dates on the bottom left of the sale price sign. Of course the deal was over. Im wondering how many thought they were getting the salmon for the sale price and was unknowingly charged the regular price. Pretty standard super grocery store in the same vein as a Winn Dixie or the grocery side of a wal mart. They do require a Kroger plus card to get discounted prices. So that's kinda annoying. Just charge everyone the same price and be on with it. Especially since if you don't have one a worker or nearby customer will just let you use there. Anyways Thai particular location is a nicer one. Very spacious and very large. They do a. Good job on the upkeep of the store. They have decent sales items as most Kroger do (as long as you have the Kroger plus card). Overall not a bad location. Service here is solid. Lines can get long as there aren't too many grocery options in Shepherdsville but they do a good job on keeping the lines moving on my few trips here when in the area.

What if instead of making my pancakes more cake-like, I just got a pancake cake? Meijer solved my dilemma by offering this cake at my local store. Though it creates the new dilemma of, should it be called a pancake cake or pan-cake? Joking aside, it is a white cake covered in copious amounts of vanilla buttercream frosting. I had been debating picking one up for a while, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity when I spied it on sale for a measly $6! Cutting into the cake revealed that there's also a layer of frosting separating the top and bottom portions of the cake. Starting with the "syrup", which is piping/frosting gel, it adds an interesting texture to the cake, but sadly no maple flavor. To be fair, maple flavor was not advertised nor expected, but it would have been a unique touch. I found the white cake to be relatively average as it was not quite as moist as some of the better cakes I've encountered. Lastly is the delectable vanilla buttercream frosting. It reminds me of a line from one of my favorite movies (Star Wars). "He's more machine than man", except in this case, it's the cake is more frosting than cake. It's thick, creamy, rich, and oh so sweet. The artistry of this cake was phenomenal, but the body of the cake falls short of something I'd get from Nothing Bundt Cakes. IF they bother to put up a sign , the sign will have what is to be the "sale price" in bigger lettering. In smaller lettering, you'll see it isn't actually on sale until a week or two, later. Not technically, legally FALSE ADVERTISING, just more under handed business practices. A lot of our elderly people only see the price, get the item NOT ACTUALLY ON SALE, YET, and are none the wiser that they were DUPED. Within some of those same bins, there may be, say, cake mixes of all varieties. So, the big lettering shows price below a dollar; great, right?! Not so much. In tiny letters the sign says "select varieties only". It never says anything like, "Yellow cake mix variety only", so you get duped at the register. The older employees know the scams, and EVERY TIME I call out the GRIFT, the older women ALWAYS blame it on "new stock boys, young and don't know what they are doing". The store also attempts to make you FORCE BUY, by keeping lower priced items out of reach on the very top shelf, pushed back, where you can see the item, but it's ever out of reach. If you really need the item, then you are inconveniently FORCED to buy the more, over stocked, expensive choice. I see the elderly struggling to see the price stickers that are impossible to read, as the type-set is as tiny as the devil's contract is where the devil promises that the devil's NOT in the details. And forget about reading the stickers on the items sitting on the lower shelves! Impossible for an elder to stoop as low as the store, itself!! And, lastly, the "new, young stock boys" always gets the blame for for putting the cheaper store brand in the slots of the higher priced name brands slots, as to deceive the customer into actually buying the high priced name brands, thinking it's a better value, that day, instead of the always cheaper store brand. When I go shopping there (as I have very little choice in the matter, I am vigilant. I not only look after my own welfare, but try to help the elderly and the struggling poor, in my community.

Just a direct, unfounded accusation. To be clear: * The writing on the diaper box was large and visible from her station. * She had spoken to every other customer around me--offering smiles, assistance, and casual conversation. * She had never acknowledged me once during my transaction... until it came time to question my integrity.
