The store was clean. I like shopping at Krogers but they often have outdated or soon to expire items on their shelves. Especially pantry items. There was even a sunscreen that expired 4/2024 on the shelf almost a year later. If I found it at home, I would probably still use it but I don't want to buy it expired. Also, several of the sale signs were wrong. I love Kroger's weekly deals. I saw the salmon sale price sign and quickly tossed it in my cart. But then remembered seeing a coupon for the sale price last week. I learned the hard way that you should always verify the sale price dates on the bottom left of the sale price sign. Of course the deal was over. Im wondering how many thought they were getting the salmon for the sale price and was unknowingly charged the regular price. Kroger grocery store that services the city of Shepherdsville Kentucky. Kroger is a regional grocery store that services and has tons of locations in the Lousiville Kentucky area and nearby Al cities such as Shepherdsville . Pretty standard super grocery store in the same vein as a Winn Dixie or the grocery side of a wal mart. They do require a Kroger plus card to get discounted prices. So that's kinda annoying. Just charge everyone the same price and be on with it. Especially since if you don't have one a worker or nearby customer will just let you use there. Anyways Thai particular location is a nicer one. Very spacious and very large. They do a. Good job on the upkeep of the store. They have decent sales items as most Kroger do (as long as you have the Kroger plus card). Overall not a bad location. Service here is solid. Lines can get long as there aren't too many grocery options in Shepherdsville but they do a good job on keeping the lines moving on my few trips here when in the area. read more

I use the click list and people have not been bagging groceries correctly and they are not only always out of stuff but when they are they don't even bother to check for substitutions it's ok shopping inside but the click list is not good and about the bagging they put 2 gallons of milk in a paper bag and as soon as we bring it in the kitchen the bag ripped and both of the gallons of milk bust all over the floor so we spent 2-3 hours cleaning that up read more

Went there today, while trying to check out we had to bag our own groceries. The cashier did not even help and there were no bags for our things. The 'bagger' person was walking around flirting with other cashiers. After we put our groceries in our car, another customer parked a scooter cart right in front of our car. When I went to get out of the car to move it. The same guy rammed my door with a cart and started laughing at me for being upset about it knocking a piece of my custom paint job off of the car. He just stood there laughing while I tried to push the cart out of the way. I can't believe we were treated like this!!! I am still so angry! read more

I stopped in here for a quick pick up on the Monday before Thanksgiving. Any time I go into a different Kroger store, I stake out the floor plan and try to see if they are similar to my home store. Fat chance! I was wondering around looking for my Thanksgiving forgot me list items!:) The few items I needed to complete my recipes. I spent more time that I had wanted wondering around for the few things I needed. I wasn't asked if I needed help, because today, I would have accepted the help. As I went to self check out I noticed a circle of w players near the florist area, it must have been a POW wow. Maybe they were planning the strategy for the next three days who knows. Lousy with a side of horrible. From the disheveled shelves to the cluttered aisles, to the broken packaging, and the inferior sacking of groceries, this Krogers is an abomination. Taking a cue from the town of Shepherdsville itself, this grocery hellhole should be avoided like the plague. read more

Alright here's the deal with this place I used to live in Shepherdsville for 8 years we used to go to those Kroger on the rig like every week all the time I enjoyed it and then it started to rapidly kind of decline Shepherdsville became more populated and it got a lot more crowded around there and I don't know what it is but I haven't gone probably in the past year to this Kroger and I visited today and I was just very disappointed. They changed the whole outlook of the store things are in different positions and when they used to be and that's fine I understand I have to do that. The problem I have is a people that work there aren't the friendliest it seems nobody was really smiling talking to me give me any kind of help they could tell I needed some help I asked a few people didn't really get the best response the people that were going in and out of that place the crowd has just changed it's a little rougher looking crowd than what I'm used to it I don't know if it's because Shepherdsville has become a lot more populated butt workers aren't as presentable as they used to be and the clientele of the customers are not what I remember either. The other thing that I've always had a problem with the parking here at this Kroger it is a nightmare to park there it's in the tough area to turn in and out of unfortunately 65 right there so it's really heavily crowded and they just don't have a good parking atmosphere at all I'll try to avoid this Kroger in Shepherdsville I'll stop there but I try to avoid it. read more

I feel like any Kroger is the best place to shop for groceries. They have the best prices and the best digital coupons. U have to download the app to download the digital coupons to use in store. U also get fuel points to use for gas when u shop. If u get in the website, u can also sign up for to donate to a cause when u shop. I chose Casa Del Toro Pit Bull Rescue. Every time I shop, Kroger donates a small amount to Casa Del Toro. Just another bonus to shopping at Kroger. read more

I typically use the Curbside pickup option. I have never had an issue. They take my coupons and they tend to select very good substitutes when the item I ordered isn't available. The clerk is always friendly. read more

This deli is the worst! Ask for a pound of turkey one day and the lady smarts off its pre-sliced out front. Told her it's to thick i want mine sliced on #1 . You can just see the attitude and hear her mumbling. I mean mugged her like say something I swear.That's horrible customer service and a bad reflection on management. Few days later. Young man behind the counter. Asked for a pound of ham. He blurts our there's half pound already sliced over there. Me I want mine shaved on .5. He says well we prefer our customers get that first so we don't have to throw it out. Me, I want a pound shaved on .5. Parking lot is a leap of faith at every turn for starters. Carts and baskets are dirty. Price tags missing everywhere. Staff will cover a normal item location tag and overstock with items beside it. (Covering out of stocks). Management as well as staff out of tune with what customers need. read more

This Shepherdsville Kroger is not my favorite. It's small, outdated & the employees aren't the friendliest. I only stop here either for gas or if I need to get in and get out! The produce section isn't that great, the aisles seem smaller (probably because it's a smaller store as I mentioned above) and it needs a serious update. Other than that, it's a typical Kroger! It does have a surprisingly large ethnic food aisle, so that bumps the rating up a bit. read more

I am going to stop shopping here even though it's right down the street from my house. I don't know if their purchaser or buyer just doesn't know what they are doing, or if they're having a problem with their suppliers. They are very often out of basic items, like bread. Yesterday I went to get a whole fryer and was told "nobody in town has whole fryers, there is a chicken shortage". Well guess what, I went to Sav-A-Lot right across the street and they had whole fryers. They were also out of hamburger buns. read more

I visited this Kroger again while in town and while I'm happy to see the store has been remodeled, the deli area still is lacking severely. The prepared food is almost non-existent. The pitiful little case that most Krogers carry several meat/seafood options had zero of those options but did have plenty of sides such as potato salads, pastas, etc. There is no salad bar and the pre-packaged salads appeared to have arrived frozen with bad lettuce showing through the container. The sandwiches and chicken selection also sucked. That being said, this Kroger has moved from "Krappy Kroger" status to "Mediocre Kroger." read more

Despite all the negative remarks I've read-I feel this remodeled Kroger is awesome. Shepherdsville needed an update and I feel THIS ( and Walmart) were both uplifting for our community. They have really done a great job. In the past I had to either go 30 miles north or 30 miles south past my home after work in Shepherdsville-- to go to Walmart. Now I go straight over from work to both Kroger and Walmart. Yeah for Shepherdsville!! Lets hear something possitive about Kroger !! I am thankful its been updated and more !! YEAH !!!!!
