Needed help in lawn mower section no one came to help even after intercom announcement.

Very Poor and disappointing communication. I placed an order on December 26, 2025 to have my groceries delivered between the times of 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM on December 27, 2025. The notification I received was that my order will be delayed and will be delivered at 1:14 PM which was fine until it was 2:30 PM and the groceries had not been delivered and the app then just says, " Delayed, still in progress." I called Walmart customer service many times and all I get is the AI voice repeating the same scripted message over and over and not providing any real answers. For example, I called for an update status on my order on Sunday, December 27, 2025 at 1:15 PM and the AI voice said, " Sorry for the delay, your order should be ready by 6:00 PM on Saturday, December 26, 2025. I tried to explain to the AI voice that today is Sunday and now my delivery is now over 24 hours delayed. Every time I request to speak to an Associate, the phone just rings and then an automatic voices tells me to visit the website which is also powered by AI and generating the same scriped messages. Here is the dilemma. They have a temporary hold on my card for $205.36 dollars, including delivery fees and driver tips. If I cancel the order, it will take 10 days or more for the money to be available back on my card. The app does not let me reschedule or allow any type of editing or a way to communicate. I have been shopping Walmart for groceries for as long as I can remember. I started doing the pickup when all the lanes went to self checkout because I felt like that I was working at Walmart for free. I decided to do home deliveries because the pickup times kept getting delayed and I was making multiple trips up to the store when the order was finally ready. Now, I see the delivery service is just as bad. I am posting here today to see if there are any customer service associated still employed at Walmart that can help resolve my issue because no one at the stores are answering phones and the app is useless for communication. Shopping at Walmart is starting to be a real inconvenience and I am tired of all the hassle. read more

Went tday had problem with Gift Card Krisha think mgr was rude didn't want be bothered...the other supervisor took her time helped resolved problem the manager she called came over with attitude. It's a Walmart (do with that information what you will). Decent selection of items needed if you are traveling and forgot something. You want to get in and out with moderately low shenanigans? Go before 8am. You want to see a show, or are bored and want something to complain about, go anytime after 8am. Sidenote: many things are locked up and require an associate to open the case to get the items. I have no shame, and don't mind standing there and looking people in the eye when I ask for things. Just didn't expect personal/intimate items to be locked. I smell a conspiracy, but we will leave that alone at the moment. read more

Buyers beware! Watch your receipts!! Cashier in regular checkout lane charged us double on many items. Almost $50 in overcharges!!! Yikes! On top of that, it took us over 30 minutes in her land to check out. She kept stopping to help her friends. All other lanes moved yet ours stood still. Horrible experience!!!! read more

Exactly where is the leadership? This is a joke. I made an online order on 02/04 for pick up on 02/05 between 11am-12pm. I never got any communication regarding the order so I drove to the location around 4pm. When I arrived and parked in the spot I called the number to check in and was told by a guy that he did not see any order for me. Meanwhile cars are pulling into and out of spots all around me. I advised him that I was pretty sure that it was this location because it is the only one that I frequent. He said "well if it never got picked up then you will get your money refunded"...I'm sorry...WHAT? I DIDN'T ASK FOR A REFUND. I came for the pick up and this person very cavalierly tells me oh well since we don't have a record of it, it must be cancelled. Not really since they have moved to the barcode bit we know that people have been gaming them and stealing people's groceries. Anyway, I drove back home to double check that I had made the order at that location and confirmed myself to be correct. I called the guy answered the phone again and says well you will get a refund. I asked for a manager. He was taking too long so I hung up and started dialing the main store. He called back with the "manager" who proceeds to say that they were "shut down" and taken "off line". And nobody got any pick ups as a result. What??? So no email? No call? Why doesn't the person answering the phone know this so that he isn't giving "oh well" about people's purchases?? She proceeded to say they had no way to call every customer individually and that some email should have come about a "delay" but it never reached my inbox. Today, 02/06 I go to get the order again. I pull in at 5:05 and make the call. A woman answers the phone and says she has checked me in and someone will be right out. I sit there and wait and wait and wait. People who have pulled in after me have come and gone. I call continuously to no avail. Finally another woman answers at 5:38 I tell her the story and she apologizes profusely. She is ready to accuse the guys who are bringing out the bags to cars and I informed her it was not them but another woman who told me that she had checked me in. She confirmed that that never happened and the other woman was now gone for the day. I tell her the whole story and she tells me that she was not in yesterday but apparently they had too many call offs so they decided to just stop the service. What is going on in this place? Where is the leadership? Who are you hiring? they claim that they have jobs why are you always having these personnel issues? This store is a joke. read more

I had not previously shopped at this particular Walmart, but I went there because it was on my way home from an appointment. I was looking for a few different seasonal items and beauty products, but was having a hard time locating them. Meme, one of the employees, assisted me numerous times. One time in particular I was looking for specific salt scrub and not only did she know exactly where it was, she walked me over to it on the shelf to be sure I got it. Twenty minutes later I phoned the telephone number and asked the answerer to please send out more cashiers. The poor woman tried to apologise saying someone may have called off. If true manager steps up and does grunt work, correct. Attaching photos from my line, self checkout line and all the way down the main aisle to get to a many item checkout. I was exposed to Covid yesterday did not want to infect others but spending this much time in a store could be deadly to myself and others. Oh yeah. I personally liked this store, my only complaint would be the long check out lines. They were carrying a lot of hard to products that I like so it was really nice to shop here. Unfortunately my last two trip have been a big disappointment. They are carrying fewer products and the condition of the stores has become a disaster. I ordered my groceries and as per usual they did not have many of the things I wanted. I ordered a largechocolate cheesecake and they did not have it. Instead they decided to substitute with 3 small New York style cheesecakes. Even though I wasnt happy about this I said nothing. But when I got home I saw that they did not give me the cheesecakes that I paid for. I contacted walmart pick up chat and they said they could not help me because I paid at the store. I asked for corporayltes number and they said they were not allowed to give it to me but I could look it up myself. They suggested I call the store and so I did. Only to be told there was no manager in but they would call me the next day. They did not call me. So I will call yet again tomorrow. Had the worst experience with Walmart. I'm sure it's nothing new But I had never had a bad experience. I placed an order last night for delivery today. My delivery was supposed to be delivered at 10am this Morning. I had to work, so I ensured someone would be here to bring in the groceries. At 9:30am, I received an email that the order was on the way. At 10am, I received an email that my order was delayed and would be delivered within 2 hours. After 3 hours, No delivery, No notifications... Nothing. I'm at work now, so I chatted with cx Service. They apologized. Said they cannot find a delivery driver, please allow another 2 hours. 2 hours and still no delivery. I called and Customer Service said because my order is large they cannot find a driver. They will contact me when available. An hour later, I contacted them and they apologized abs said it was Top Priority and would find someone soon. 2 hours later it is now Almost 8pm. I called the store to try to make arrangements to pick up my order when I get off of work. Can't get through to anyone. Called the corporate line and they said that they normally don't convert delivery orders to pick up orders but because I waited so long, they will try to accommodate me. Still waiting for the email to let me know if I can pick up my order when I get off from work. read more

This is the absolute worst walmart in the south suburbs. An older caucasian woman workih as a cashier openly disrespected a young african american by shouting " short bus headed that way" and recieved nothing but a few laughs with one or two appalled faces. The young man was purchasing produce, and didn't know how to use the look up function, which has two menus and asked rather than hold up the line, and that was her response. She rudely punched the buttons for him as well and stormmed off to scream, an entire scene being made. If it were Ed Debevicks, it would be appropriate, but is a Walmart. The store has an issue with theft as well as the rude staff always looking for an altercation. The gas station may still be boarded up after an attempted robbery that never made the news..... Steer clear, especially after 9 oclock, or on the weekends. Utilize Western or anywhere else for that matter. You have been informed and warned. read more

My girlfriend and I were driving home and decided to stop and shop for clothing. We went to the dressing room, waiting for 10 minutes as several other customers started to show up, one after another. Until there was a mob of people upset waiting, a few people tried hitting buttons on the phone and the computer to get ahold of someone. By now it's nearing a half hour and everyone is getting frustrated, I called the store from my cell phone and spoke to a really friendly operator who was able to come by and unlock the doors. read more

This one is located in Richton Park, Il. This one is close to my residents. So I would frequent this one the most. If I do go to any other Walmart I try to do early mornings to beat the crowds, this particular one I can grab what I need at any time of the day or week and leave right. Clean, no crowds, I find everything I need. My store for savings I will pass on Target. read more

Had a bad interaction with a clerk at their pharmacy. Went to pick up my hubbys prescription and because there was a deductible to be fulfilled it was over $500. The credit card people thought it was fraud so declined the transaction which I got resolved over the phone finally. My complaint is that the woman basically announced to everyone present that my credit was bad. After I had resolved the matter with the credit card company and returned to the counter she acted as though I was trying to scam her and once again very sarcastically announced that it had been denied but she would try again! This store blows, they keep canceling my online pick up orders when the item I order shows it's in stock on the shelf, you call and try to get answers but no one in customer service answers the phone, the store manager is never available, the assistant manager doesn't answer the phone, I called to see what is going on and spent a total of 22 minutes waiting on the phone because of the lazy asses that work there, this store is just pathetic. read more

On December 16, 2018, 26 Police, Fire and Public Safety officers converged on the Richton Park, Illinois Walmart Supercenter escorting 26 second and third graders from Steger and South Chicago Heights schools. The event was meant to allow the children who wrote essays on the spirit of gift giving an opportunity to fulfill their wishes of who they would buy gifts for. The parents and siblings of the shoppers were some of the intended gift recipients, but there were many shoppers who bought for homeless children and children with cancer. This is really about Walmart overall but I don't see that option so will review the store involved. In August 2015 I purchased an Everstart Maxx 24F car battery from the old, now closed Matteson store to replace a failing one of the same brand. This is the Walmart store brand. One reason for choosing this product was that it seems identical to the OEM battery from the same manufacturer. But the bigger reason was the warranty which offered free replacement for 3 years plus another 2 years prorated. So when my battery showed weakness in two of the six cells (according to my Walmart tester) I knew it was time to replace it. The warranty is right on the front of the battery. No fine print. No reference to fine print. I have the receipt to prove purchase date. But when I went to get the promised free replacement they scanned the sticker on the battery and told me the warranty ended at two years. So basically they don't live up to the promise made on the front of the battery. Keep that in mind when making your selection. Walmart lies. ---------------- This story does finally have a satisfactory conclusion. First of all let me point out that contacting corporate via their website is useless. Walmart farms it out to a unit of Oracle whose job it is to pacify customers. When I further complained they said they would foward to the store manager. When Richton Park WM refused to honor the warranty they gave me a little slip from their computer system which falsely claimed the warranty expired after only two year. It also said contact the manufactuerer which I know to be Johnson Controls, a very legit battery maker. But I know from experience that contract manufacturers NEVER get involved. They will ALWAYS tell you to contact the vendor. But there was a toll-free number on the slip which was right next to contact the manufacturer. I called it. It was not Johnson Controls. It was Walmart Tech Support asking if I was an associate or a customer. I said I was a customer and explained about the battery warranty. The woman acknowledged that there was an error in their computer system and I should have the store call them. I went back to the RP Walmart and when I looked if they had my battery of the correct size and the same Maxx quality level there was only one and the date code was 8 months old. So I went to Homewood WM and that is where the story concludes. Keeping the low rating because this was still a sucky experience. But I've raised to 2 stars. read more

My fiance and I go here ONLY because my mom is recovering down the street. We get drinks, food and so on. We go outside to get pop since it's only 50 cents, low and be hold a needle is right there on the ground for any child to pick up not knowing what it is! It's the kind that walmart sells too... I know what they are because I take insulin, if my child were to ever pick up a needle you'd have one livid mama bear!! I told the manager and it was still there the next day, he probably didn't want to touch it either. I took pictures it's disgusting. Makes me wonder how they take care of the inside of the store. I'd rather they have stricter rules regarding needles and make me show proof then allowing anyone to buy needles and then finding them on the ground with God knows what in them and what possible diseases are on them as well. I wish there were 0 stars. I made a complete online order. I had everything I needed. To avoid covid I put $20 in my back seat for the person loading my purchases. I drove over to this Walmart at my time slot and I kept getting a message that my order was delay. After 30 minutes sitting in the car I went in. Not only was it a zoo in there but no one to help you anywhere. Now the alert went off that my order was ready so I drove over to the pick up area. Guess what there is no entrance or exit by the pick up. No one came out after 10 minutes I tried to go back on the store. By that time it was 8:31. They would not let me back in the store or provide my order. Now I don't have money to buy groceries else where until I get my refund and not only that but no one even cared at Walmart. I called and spoke to Frank and did he offer to do anything to make it right? Nope nothing. I will never ever buy a thing from Walmart again. I try to do the responsible thing and social distance and instead I will probably end up with this virus as a result of how poorly the Walmart app works and how poorly the employees at this Walmart are. The said rule is to shop in your community. This store was great when they opened but now they lack in stocking basic items that I need. I'm not sure if it's the time of day or that I shop on weekends , but they never have what I need. No respect I asked the gentleman at the door a question an I don't have the answer to that would have been sufficient, but he went on to say how black folks are thieves as if no one else does that except for the blacks . Worst customer experience I have ever had at any business. I went in to attempt to return items I bought during COVID/ quarantine, as I was promised, and upon learning that their return policy was "back to normal", I went back in to be told it was too late to return said items. I would be fine if it was past the time to return the items, but the associate was very rude about it and did absolutely nothing I would expect out of a customer service representative. One of the worst "super" Wal-Marts to ever grace the South Chicagoland suburbs. Walking through the store is almost like how a bug exterminator first walks into an infested area. At the first sight of the exterminator, the bugs make a mad dash away him. The same can sadly be said about the "workers". They see that you are in need of assistance, the mad dash is what they'll take. Sad really. Most of the young workers (high schoolers, maybe?) I see walk around aimlessly with no sense of direction and purpose, while wearing the infamous blue Walmart vest. Or better yet, I will see them laughing and goofing around with other co-workers. I'm all for work camraderie, but can we keep it a little bit professional and not like it's a high school gym class? read more

Brand new store, same old Matteson Walmart attitude. This store sucks. Let me expound on that: My friend and I go in there to buy some ammo. See 3 guys chatting, didn't think they worked there. Turns out one of them did, he's there talking to his buddies like it's a part of his job. He goes behind the counter at sporting goods and checks them out. He has no clothing on that would indicate he worked there. No name tape, either. He finishes, we tell him we need ammo. He mutters something about him not having the keys, he sounded like he was on drugs and/or drunk. He had braids in his hair. After his muttering he walks away. Stupid me assumes that if someone does something like that, he's going to get the person with the key. 5 minutes goes by and no one shows up. A girl shows up and asks us if we need help. Told her about the muttering idiot and she calls someone with the key. Guy shows up, we buy our ammo and we're on our way. When this store was in Matteson, the associates had a don't give a damn attitude. Not only is that still evident, they expanded that same attitude to be proportional to the size of the new store. Unfortunately, if you live in the south suburbs of Matteson, Richton Park and Park Forest, your options are less than other areas when it comes to shopping. Still, unless you don't have a choice, go shop elsewhere. read more

This place has the worst customer service I have ever seen in a Walmart!! Waiting in the photo department for over 15 minutes for pictures, while five employees come and go and no one can assist. Report of the incident to the on duty manager today at 12:30 PM , And she couldn't care less! I let them keep my photos in my car full of perishable groceries and walked out. read more

This is easily one of the worst Walmart's I've been to. I know COVID has nothing to do with the lack of service here. Every time I come here their are no carts and is poorly stocked . Management should be ashamed of themselves . When I do see people stocking the shelves . They are messing around swearing in front of customers and blocking the whole aisle. Not caring if customers are trying to get through. The pasta sauces can't be read because they're to lazy to take them out of the boxes. We went there today and tried to buy a Christmas decoration that says it can only be bought in store. And the so-called manager said it's a Black Friday item. We went to the Walmart in Olympia Fields and it wasn't . Again the management needs a big change.
