I order from Walmart Superstore on Dunlawton very often. They sometimes have to substitute items, but always ask me to approve. I just went and ordered my eyeglasses from that store and was very pleased that they had a great selection of very nice glasses. Not only that but my insurance covered s lot of the cost. The sweet lady asked if she could help by the time I had the second pair of glasses tried on. Very helpful from start to finish. And they will keep me informed on when to expect them. Well, it's one of the "better" super center Walmarts. I'm not trying to lump all Walmarts in with this one, as that's not the point of reviewing an individual Walmart. As with I assume all Walmarts the layout becomes more and more confusing everyday. This is 100% intentional, and likely forced at a top down level, as in, an individual Walmart likely has to follow strict floor planning. As well as the typical fluorescent lighting designed to make people want to get out quick and not dottle around. I.e the opposite of Target. Again, this specific Walmart is just going by that is required from Corporate. The one saving grace that can make a place like this not heck on earth to work at is having good managers. Which while I have never worked here, everyone who works at this specific Walmart (this is the same with almost every Walmart) looks like they would rather be anywhere else. It's as if Walmart took apart of who they once were as a person. And again this Walmart is no different, While I (used) to not feel like I'd ever get robbed going here, the feeling has gone up slightly but that's just in general lol. Despite the 100s of new Apartments and storage units popping up, both Daytona/Port Orange have been going drastically downhill in the last decade. And yes this is valid with my Walmart review, and the overall safety of being at this Walmart at night has changed with it. read more

This is a good Walmart. Clean, organized, great selection of products. Generally easy to find items. Is the staff over friendly, not really. But I've had a few super nice check out people. Overall this location is a win. Bathrooms have been good on my recent visits. I also love the Walmart app and it's convenient to pay and look up items and where they are in the store. read more

Walmart is Walmart. If you been to one (and most of us have), we know what to expect. Poor customer service, you will be checking yourself out and overall a shopping experience where you better be pretty self reliant as you will be on your own. We came in here to pick up a few things for a friend who just moved into a new home and needed a few necessities to get them through the process of unloading. You know, a few towels, some cheap plastic plates and plastic silverware, even a few air mattresses as the beds would not be getting unloaded. This is a huge Super Walmart, as most Super Walmarts are. There is plenty of parking and there were plenty of people walking in. We picked up the few necessities and a few hundred dollars later we were walking out with a shopping carriage full of goodies. To end the review and to sum it up, Walmart is Walmart. It will have what you need, but that's it. No customer service and you will walk out perhaps wondering when shopping became so impersonal and dehumanized, where the human interaction went and when it was removed from the shopping experience. I will give it three stars just because it offered what we needed and a few other positives like it being close to Interstate 95 and is on a main road making it convenient for both those who are traveling the highway, as well as the people who call Port Orange home. read more

I was looking for NEVR-DULL a "Magic Wadding Polish" that I use to clean tools. After looking for a while I approached an employee and asked her about the product. She said follow me and started off to the location. On the way she was asked by another customer about a product and she told her to follow along. She pointed out the product to the shopper, who thanked her for the help. We continued onto the cleaning/polishing area and she looked over the available products. She then told me to check on-line and it may be there. When I got home, I went on the internet and found NEVR-DULL on the Walmart site. The chicken is great grey and the red meat isn't red. It looks as if they are trying to kill the meat when it's already dead. I have complained before to the store manager here at the small Walmart on Clyde Morris Blvd. This store has horrible shopping carts that have had zero maintenance. The carts get stuck together and many have wheels that just do not function correctly. Today I filed a formal incident report with the manager and the intent here is to show how negligent this company is being. This has been reported by me for the 3rd time and the carts just keep getting worse. This store is used by many elderly people in the local area due to the high crime at the other Walmart locations. I have seen many customers struggling with this issue. Today, I pulled on a cart that was stuck to 3 carts total and hurt my hand. When I pulled another selection, I got a cart to break free but not initially. There are 3 rows of carts to choose from and two had broken carts that were stuck together. The cart broke free and hit me in the leg which will leave a bruise. I then started into the store with that cart only to discover that the wheels (2 out of 4) are almost seized! I had to leave the cart inside the doorway and go back for a third try. read more

Went yesterday to pick up a few things. Of all Walmarts this one is my go to as its usually clean and decent as far as a walmart goes. I walked in and there was not one shopping cart available. Decided to pick up the bare minimum. The baking pans/cookie sheet area was a complete disaster. There were two large white rectangles of paper covering 70% of the products I was looking for. I picked up the four necessary items and looked for a checkout. I didn't see any clerks with open registers so I was forced to go to the self checkout. I would like to note I stopped going to Walmart on the weekly when they cut out cashiers and went to primarily self checkout. If I wanted to "work" for Walmart I'd apply for a job. Now I go every 4 or five weeks and instead go to target weekly. For the extra few cents the entire experience is so much more pleasurable. I finally get to an open self checkout and ring up my items. A product I purchased needed clerk approval before I could continue. The only clerk in self checkout was moving at a glacier pace. I go to pay with a card and as I slide it in the slot there was an immediate error. My card is brand new like 2 weeks old and I just used it successfully at 2 locations within the hour. At this point I can only assume the reader is old and worn out. My entire shopping experience was just so horrible I refused to remedy the situation with the clerk or give Walmart any of my hard earned money. I merely turned around and walked out leaving the product at self checkout. It kills me walmart ran all mom and pop business out of business and then provides such a negative horrible shopping experience. I spend my money at local establishments when I can and at establishments that deserve my hard earned money. Unfortunately Walmart does not fall in that category. Your business plan is to make the customer check out their purchases and still can't manage to provide functioning equipment for the customer to do so in a timely manner. I will spend my money where it's a positive experience and employ clerks to help support the local community that supports them with their business. Goodbye Walmart. read more

While I truly despise on every level having to shop at The Evil Empire, sometimes you just need to bite the bullet simply because either they have something no one else has or they have so many options that you would be stupid not to take a look. Simply put we forgot our beach chairs at home a thousand miles away. While looking a bit in the Daytona area around the beach near the hotel we quickly figured out that either places still didn't have a lot in stock or what they had was ludicrous in price. As much as I didn't want to do it, I fired up the Evil Empire's website and confirmed that this store not only had them but they had several options and at prices to cheap to pass up. As usual when you walk in it's the typical shit storm of humanity with people everywhere, stuff everywhere, loud as hell volume and of course not enough people working to take care of basics like restocking or cashiering. Thankfully we got lucky and entered the store on the side where they have outdoor/seasonal items so everything we needed was right there. While it took twice was long to check out versus what it took actually find/select what we needed at least we got it and at a price that was less than half what stores by the beach wanted for the same thing or it cost the same price to own what you get charged at the beach for one days rental. #Winning read more

This store never ceases to amaze me with 100 registers and 4 cashiers on hand not to mention the 20 or so wandering around chatting or on their phones. I wish I could give zero stars to this place. We've lived in Port Orange for two months and this is the 3rd time they've closed registers with people in line. This time they did it to me. This place has terrible service. I put a down payment on a Tv for layaway and no one could do their job. First of all the box was torn and the manager did not seem to care. I came back the next day 2 hours before layaway closes and they sent me to the garden center... to pick up a tv. There was no one there and I had to wait 30 minutes for an assistant manager that was of no help. Finally the manager came out and I had to wait another 39 minutes to get my TV. This is one of if not the worst Walmart in central Florida. Most Walmart stores stock in a uniform manner, but not this one. Management here apparently want to discourage Latino shoppers as they have all but eliminated all of the frozen Goya products, most of the Badia seasonings and even the Carnitas from the meat department. My issues aren't with the store in general but with the people who work there. I recently went in around 10pm to pick up money that had been sent to me and was rudely told the customer service department closed at 10...it says that nowhere in the store. When I came back the next day there was a long line of people waiting but then I saw a clearly marked express lane for money services. It was sectioned off with a sign hanging from the ceiling. I stood in that line and was told to get in line. Why have such a well designated line if you aren't allowed to use it?? Most of the cashiers can't even say hello to you let alone be friendly when you get there. You're made to feel like you're a bother to them. I wouldn't shop at Walmart if I had a choice but when you're on a budget, ya gotta. I hate it read more

I have been using the drive up pickup for orders for about a month since the pandemic, as I am a senior and have an underlying medical condition. My scheduled pickup time today was for 6-7p.m. When I arrived at 6 p.m all of the spots were full. I sat in a parking spot for almost 15 minutes before an employee brought one order to a car. Took me almost an hour just to get into a spot. Talked to others in their cars. Some had been waiting almost 2 hours. It was at least 10-15 minutes in between the associates coming out with an order. After an hour only 2 cars had left and the one next to me was finally getting her order. Her order was very wrong. Obviously they have BIG problems! If you have to use this get an early morning appt and try to check your order. I finally got them to answer the phone in the pickup area and cancelled my order. Hopefully they got that right. Will not be using this service again. read more

There management is a joke!! We came in last night to shop for Christmas. We shopped around for two hours, so we went to the register with 3 carts full of stuff. we went to use the discount the Walmart employees give to the workers. So now the discount wasn't working and they tried everything, but the funny thing is they didn't! All they had to do was to type in the numbers on the back of the discount card in the register. But they didn't so we wasted our time good thing we didn't waste our money there! But we went to another Walmart the Beville Road one and they knew exactly what to do. What a shame they need to retrain there staff and there mangers because obviously they weren't trained correctly how to use a cash register. So if you want experienced and well trained employees and mangers i wouldn't recommend this Walmart WHATSOEVER! I hope they had a good night putting away our stuff! read more

I went to Walmart at Dunlawton ave. Port Orange Florida had 70.00 stuff for cell phone to purchase the lady was so rude because she had to unlock the product that Walmart locks up. That I told her that she could just forget it. Then I went to customer service to ask to speak to a manager to let them know they lost a 70.00 sale due to employee rudeness.They called for a manager that 10 mins. later had not show up after asking a second times for the manager a lady that was a co- assistant came to us to whine about us. As we told here what we was there for she listen but told us there was no manager, that the manager was on vacation for 2 weeks. Then we let her know if she hadn't stop to complain about us being there we would still be waiting on that manager that's on vacation for 2 weeks. I couldn't believe how the customer was push out the door without properly being able to buy or complain about the service. Forget ordering online for in-store pickup. Walmart clearly doesn't understand how to deliver customer service for the new on-line community. I had to order the product 5 time before it was accepted by Walmart. Each time they said they couldn't verify credit information - even though each purchase was approved by the credit card company. I waited to chat with support and they said they their security group had to clear my account and I should reorder in 30minutes. After waiting 30 minutes I reordered - it was accepted but I then received a message that there was a delay due to further credit verification. The order would be delayed 48hrs!!!!!!! Seriously I am not applying for credit. So they have talked to me and gotten approval from my credit card company - what can they possibly verify? This is an insane and stupid process that accomplishes nothing except delivering terrible customer service. Obviously, can't compete with Amazon. read more

However I was very pleasantly surprised with a first class Walmart, clean and well stocked AND the staff was friendly, more than competent and efficient. The employees in the Vision Center are not knowledgeable or helpful!!! I bought my glasses at a Walmart in Indiana about a year ago. The first time the arm broke, my Walmart was very helpful getting them all fixed up for me!!! The guy at this Walmart told me there is NOTHING they can do for me!!! They don't keep "spare parts"! I'm not looking for "spare parts"! I've already gone that route to get me through. I want them FIXED! The best he could offer me was for me to PURCHASE a new set of frames! These glasses are still under warranty!! Then he told me I could possibly talk to the other lady working there, but she was too busy chit-chatting to help! When the arm came off my glasses again & I was putting the screw back in, she says, "You know, we can fix those!" Well not according to the other guy they can't! I let her know I was waiting to talk to her. Well, I'd already waited longer than I wanted to. Waited around another 10 minutes & finally walked out!! I'll just keep limping these through until I get back home in 4 days. read more
