Outside of the swarm of people in and around the Pandora store, I was really surprised that this mall wasn't filled to the brim with weekend, tourists, and last-minute Mother's Day gift shoppers. This worked well for us because we didn't have to battle with finding a decent parking space or waiting in long lines. I haven't been to the mall in years, so I thought it was still open until 9pm. A security guard rudely tells me the mall is closed but did not tell another couple who was the same complexion as him to leave. The mall needs a complete Makeover. Everything ! Great place to walk around and shop. We had lunch at Mr. Dunderbachs. If you didn't know they have excellent German food. The knockworst plate with the German potato salad and sauerkraut is my favorite. They have an extensive menu with great prices!!! Malls are a dying breed, as everyone is making their purchases online. As for the Volusia Mall, they failed due to the same reason. The place only has half the occupancy regarding stores and most of the remaining stores are not worth the time, except Dillard's, which I believe had four different locations. The best store in the mall was a brand-new game shop, which sells board games and cards and they are still unpacking everything. I would not recommend wasting your time. read more

This mall has fallen so far in such a short time. Every time we visit there seams to be another store that is closed. Many have moved to the Tanger outlet area. The "new" tile has so many cracks with white duck tape to hold it together. Now I can count about 10 dead roaches when walking around. The cleaning people seam to be playing on there phones and/or sitting in massage chairs when I do see one. Macy's is still slated to become apartments but nothing is done there in over 2 years. Sears is still closed and gutted with an entertainment area planned but also not moving forward. It is sad to see the decline. My wife and I love to walk in the AC, have lunch and shop at least weekly here. It used to be such a thriving place. As we travel we see more and more indoor malls going under. I like the Volusia Mall. I like to shop at Dillards and JC Penney's and likewise liked Sears tools when Sears was there and Macys appliances and clothing. Wondering whatever happened to the development of luxury apartments that were supposed to have been completed at the end of January 2025? that could have brought a lot of foot traffic and kept the mall alive. I doubt the mall survives another year unless something is done soon. read more

This is probably the best mall in Daytona (even though there aren't many). I received amazing customer service from every single store that I walked into and that was a big relief. I didn't get a chance to go everywhere and I didn't find the shoes I wanted but of course I found a lot of things that I didn't come looking for. I haven't been to Hot Topic in years but I stopped in on a whim and found the fishnet tights I was looking for so the trip wasn't in vain. If you're in Daytona just strolling around and in need of something the outlets don't have, this mall might surprise you. read more

Sadly it's super obvious that this mall has had better days in the past and is on the way out. Most of the stores were closed down and had been for some time. The other stores were mostly off brand locations that were just filling in some space. One of the best parts was the Books a Million store, but outside of that there wasn't much to see here. Say it ain't so but this old girl's seen better days. So back in the day you had either this or the Altamonte mall and that was about it until the mid to late 90's when a bunch of new malls sprung up all over Central Florida. We used to do a lot of our school shopping here at JCPenney and Maison Blanche. Anyone remember some of the old stores like World Bizarre or Taco Viva? What about Babbage's, Billabong, Bugleboy, or Waldens? Or what about Casa Gallardo across the street or Castle Adventure next door? Yep, I was a mallrat. Lol Remember when the mall was the ONLY place you could get Chick-fil-A? I always thought it was cool you could get into the mall through the Walgreens, but that's been gone for years. What they really need to do is level the place and start over from scratch like they did with the old Winter Park mall so many years ago. There's still a place for retail, it's just not in a stale building that smells like the '80s. We come in for Mr. Dunderback's every once in a great while and JCPenney but I'm beginning to see the end of the road for them. read more

The Volusia Mall in Daytona Beach was a very disappointing experience. We aren't from Daytona, so we looked up a place to shop and went. The mall is very dilapidated and smells terrible, with most of the lighting not working, making it dark and dingy. Many stores are closed, leaving few shopping options. Additionally, the overall atmosphere felt unsafe, making our visit quite unpleasant. I'm surprised it's even still open. read more

This mall was "alright". There isn't much there and they don't have any food in their food court. Anne's pretzel and this one cafe are the only place to grab a bite. The few stores that they do have also don't have much inside. I wish malls were still trending, but I understand the convenience of just ordering your things online. The only stores worth checking out in my opinion would be books-a-million, the nail salon and Windsor. I may have missed a few good ones, but really it's just a few stores there. read more

This mall was pretty dreary and over all not good. As soon as I walked in I felt like I wanted to leave. There aren't many good stores, I just went to check the repair policy at Pandora, but I can't imagine people get a lot of good shopping done here. It just felt dim and dirty. I grew up in Ormond Beach and this mall has barely changed since I was a little kid. I just recently went back hoping for some changes and better stores to shop in, but it was basically still the same. The majority of the stores are geared toward the younger crowd who are still in school, such as Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch, Charlotte Rousse, Cotton On, Pacific Sunwear, etc. I was really hoping to find some stores where I could find clothes for people in their 20's and 30's and that were appropriate for work as well. I live in Orlando now and the store options at this mall are nothing compared to the malls we have here. There are outlets going up in Daytona and that will be a huge improvement there for shopping, and I could see a lot of the stores go out of business at the mall because of it. read more

Being that there are many malls in the Orlando area, I would not recommend driving the 50 minutes up to Volusia Mall. If you happen to be at the beach, or watching a race at the track, and need to go there, then at least you have an option. But overall, it's not a destination mall. It is somewhat outdated compared to its competition further south. The walls and floor are white yet you can tell it's been a good few years since this mall was constructed. It does hold many popular and common mall stores but there aren't too many special features that make it a worthwhile place to shop. That's not to say it's all bad though. Instead of housing 5 Starbucks, Gloria Jean's Coffee has 2 counters and reigns supreme in the coffee department. Auntie Anne's is also not present with Wetzel's Pretzel's taking its place. There is, however, a Subway going in which really makes it a mall. Speaking of the food court, the seating there is rather interesting since almost all of the tables are connected like a cafeteria. Thus, you will most likely be sharing the long tables with other shoppers. So if you wanted some space/privacy this is not the place to go. But if you do eat lunch there, and decide a walk is in order, the mall has a W.A.L.K. program that gets you moving. I am unaware of the exact details but the mall along with a Health Organization have put together a plan to get people to purposely walk through the mall for exercise which is a great way to support healthy living. It's not a place I would really want to go back to unless I was in the area. But I suppose that most people head to Daytona for many other reasons causing the mall to take a back seat. read more

This mall is not one that I get to very often which is unfortunate as it is very well kept & inviting. The store selection is great. The anchor stores are Macy's, Penney's, Dillard's & also Bath & Body along with other favorites & specialty stores. Food court & snacking stations are great for picking up lunch or snack. The Santa station is picturesque & festive if you are in area it is well worth stopping. I went to keep a friend company but left with bags. Lol read more

Well this morning I was greeted by 2 aggressive men pounding on the door of my RV. I am disabled to the point that it takes 2-4 hrs every morning before my hands, arms along with strength/stability kicks in after meds are given to me by my caretaker. So was unable to get to the door. My service dog also felt threat as she became protective. These guys put a notice to tow my vehicle, no warning or even a letter/working phone number to contact. (I will put up a picture of what was left on my vehicles) claiming it was here overnight, why didn't someone say something last night? (Regardless it's allowed, per I stayed 3 weeks straight over a month ago and also you will find it listed under multiple free rv locations on Apps) when I parked here over a month ago I made sure all bases were covered in case of this situation. At that time the older gentleman was a supervisor that was also aware of the ability to utilize the area as long as your not in the way of anyone or if parking is limited. This location is also advertised on multiple apps for free parking. Last time we parked here, the security kept checking on us bc I guess we parked in a not so good area and just suggested we park where it's more lit up. So we did, Now this Mrs. Hernandez ? is (after making multiple calls to get the real phone number of who to contact (called corporate) since the professionalism is endless, gave false number and information. He's so professional he hung up on me and decided to pull an intimidating face to face bringing himself and another guy to bully us more, so I contacted corporate again and I am now waiting to hear back as I listed many apps (of which the owner would have had to give permission to put on those sights) being were on property. Mris the man that knows everything as he's run the security here for 3 years. He knows about all the apps, the legal law, note nonwarning As he wore his badge on his belt like a police officer or as if he's from an Investigative dept, decided after I finally found the right phone number as the prior security didn't even know a phone number to put on this tow notice. So that lead me to contact corporate. Of which Mr H claims he's above everyone because they don't know anything. Well they hired him and pay him so they know something. This is a old man who clearly wanted to be a cop/investigator but landed mall cop. He doesn't know the laws as far as private property also claims all these apps for rv parking are wrong, Yet as as I am severely disabled (with a body full of metal, head trauma etc) this is 2 women vs 2 large men not once but twice (an aggressive intimidation tactic along w illegally posting tow notice) With the supervisor we dealt with last time who didn't need 2 guys for a cripple and a female caretaker. He was more knowledgeable then Mr H. His days are limited as I have multiple claims to file. read more

My son wanted to get some Vans sneakers and the outlets in Daytona do not have a Vans store. I did notice that the Volusia Mall had a store so we decided to head there. Our plan was to eat and then shop. We walked in to the "food court" entrance which was awkwardly full of homeless people in the entry way. (Its not easy to walk passed these people knowing you're going to get a full belly and they are not and I don't have the ability to feed all of them as there were at least 10-15). The food court is extremely disappointing. Pizza, subs or Chinese food was our only options. We opted to get the "world famous bourbon chicken" according to the sign. Annnnnd it was NOT world famous by any means, and there is no way they should be allowed to advertise that! Moving on to shopping, the Vans store was great. The 2 young ladies helped us immediately and were super nice. The cashier laced my son's shoes for him (because apparently lacing shoes is the end of the world for 16 year olds), and joked around with us the whole time. Walking through the mall was kind of sad. This mall is not what it used to be. I know there are newer shops and outlets near by, but this is not the only mall that is surrounded by other shopping plazas. I don't think I will stop by this mall unless I have to get to a certain store like I did last night. read more

I went to the mall today and some guy Im the middle of the mall cleaned my shoe advertising his product and what he described did not come out the way he said it was what so ever then when I see him try to clean my brand new white shoes he used a dirty brush and then to clean it he try's to paint it and I could clearly see the big difference so when I told him to do the other since he messed up he refused and told me I had to buy his product so now I'm stuck with a tan shoe and a white one I want a brand new pair these shoes cost me 150 The guys selling shoe cleaning products are called: Shoe MGK I want a new pair of shoes! read more

I live about 20 minutes away from this mall and haven't really been a fan of it from the get-go. For one thing, it's small and only has one floor. With that being said, Daytona Beach has been in the middle of a major make-over and developments. Therefore, this mall has been getting upgrades as well. I'm excited to say that I'm starting to love this mall. All of my favorite little shops from other malls are starting to make their way into this one. I couldn't be happier about that. The main store that I was excited about is Torrid. Although new stores are moving in and some old ones are moving out, the classics are still there. The anchor stores like Macy's, Dillard's, and JCPenny are still thriving. Any local will tell you about Dunderbachs (I think that's how you spell it). It's a little German restaurant and Deli that seems to be the soul of this mall. If locals didn't come for anything else, they came for that restaurant. I'm happy to tell you that it's still there and not going anywhere (hopefully). Although it's still smaller than I like, I'm keeping an eye on this one! It has potential! read more

This mall is pretty lame, but is unfortunately the only mall in the Volusia County area. Sucks! They have the standard stores - Macy's, JCPenney, Dillards - and the stores inside the actually mall area, which aren't the best selection. They have a pretty big food court, as well. I would suggest driving the extra time to visit the Seminole Towne Centre, Altamonte Mall, Florida Mall, or Millenia Mall for a better shopping experience! This mall is great if you know exactly what you are looking for. read more

Saving Gas Spoils Shopping! As a longtime resident of both Daytona Beach and Orlando, I have long understood that shopping cannot really take place in Volusia County, and have long commuted to the big Orange and Seminole County shopping centers to get my shop on. However, since gas prices went completely crazy, this commute is no longer possible, and this has left volusia county residents with....the Volusia Mall. The Good: Single Stary and Walkable: You can really "do" this mall in about two hours. There's only one story, and if you're looking for a quick shopping trip, well Volusia Mall fits the bill nicely. All the essentials: All of the standard mall fare, PacSun, JC Penny's and Claire's are all here. Just don't expect anything terribly unique. The Bad: *yawn*: Yeah, the volusia Mall is incredibly boring. From the drab setup to the mundane stores, shopping at Volusia mall is definitely not an exercise in power shopping. More like shopping when you have no choice. Volusia Mall is not necessarily bad, but it just doesn't have any of the cool perks or shops that places like Altamonte or Millenia have. This mall pales in comparison to other malls outside of the area, I'd rather commute the 30 to 45 minutes to Seminole County to shop at one of the malls there. I am also a long time resident of the Daytona Beach area and nothing much has really changed with this location over the years,with the exception of the child based amusement attractions (mall-jump, play area, and train). The food-court still houses a majority of the same restaurants that have been there for years, while hosting the newest addition, Subway. The selection of stores is truly mediocre- so if you are looking for something unique, you will not find it here. read more

Jean has been there since i have been going in this opitical place at pennys and had been exceptional. As well as her staff there two men one younger bald guy and a mid aged man named Ron. This is a great mall if you are looking to avoid the crowds while shopping, I've been here on several occasions and I could drive my truck inside the mall from store to store without having to fear hitting anyone. It appears they are doing some renovations in hopes of revitalizing it or to pass the city codes I don't know which, it doesn't appear to be attracting any new businesses. I think there could be a much better use of the property it's amazing to me some of the brand stores still occupy space. It would be a great parking lot for the Speedway without the mall or a new location for the Daytona Flea Market. read more

Volusia Mall is...a mall. It's a one-story affair and, though renovated within the last decade, it's a local place at best. They've managed to attract some of the major mall chains (Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, Bombay Co.), so you are guaranteed a similar experience to just about any other mall you have visited. A quirk of Volusia mall is that the major anchor stores have been bought out one-by-one, leading to THREE Dillard's stores in the mall. Two of them face each other. It's corporate greed gone mad, I tell you! Honestly, this is not a bad place--I spent my childhood school shopping here, and cannot bring myself to bash it too badly. If it all becomes too overbearing, stop by Mr. Dunderbaak's, the tasty German restaurant, for a pint. It'll set your right as rain, and ready to shop again! read more

This is a sad, sad, mall. Macy's is gone, Sears left many years ago and the stores have not been replaced with new stores. There are 3 Dillard's because Dillard's own the mall. Their selection is horrible and dated. People are not happy to be working there. The food court now hosts 3 fast food places, 3 Asian and 1 sandwich type shop. Penney's is one of the low end Penney's and smells like cargo boxes. They do have a few Teen stores, and 2 or 3 jewelry stores, a nail salon and a coffee shop. Volusia Mall has had its heyday. It's funny to imagine this mall being brand spanking new! It probably only still survives because the next nearest mall is in Sanford, FL. Yet, this mall will certainly fill a void if you crave a decent retail experience. It will suffice until your next trip to Orlando or other shopping destination.
