Ok everyone loves Walmart's low prices right? But do we all love the service, or even the check out? I have been to Walmart numerous times and never have I been able to run a quick "errand". There is always two or three registers open for 20+ customers trying to pay. It's flat out outrageous since people have a schedule to maintain. Another thing, what do I have to do to get some help around here?! When you do find a soul the answer is always "oh I'm sorry it not my department". Literally never thought I would have to write a Yelp review on a Walmart, but this one is the absolute WORST. I stood in line for self-checkout (with my two items) at 11pm for 10 minutes while two ladies simultaneously struggled with copious amounts of coupons while two employees watched and did nothing to assist them. One of the two employees then announced that self-checkout was closed (after seeing me stand there for ten minutes, mind you). There were several checkout lines open and all of them were jammed up while the ridiculously incompetent cashiers took forever to ring people up. I have never had such an annoying experience at any Walmart in my life. These people need more training or better management. read more

My husband and I come here every week to get all of our groceries. We have been pretty loyal, but today may change that. I went to buy something from the makeup area which has its own checkout. The cashier rang up the item and it was almost 4x more than what the price tag said. She walked back with me and saw for herself the price tag was what I had told her but she still wouldn't honor the price, even after I compromised for a lesser item that she said was the correct product for the tag. I said I wasn't willing to pay a higher price than what the tag said. I ended up walking out when I was planning to spend a good chunk of money. read more

This Walmart is okay. Always packed, so its expected to be cluttered inside Customer service is hard to find.. always not enough cashiers The only reason I come here is because its the closest Walmart with a Self-Checkout. Mainly its the unlawful customers that drive this location down. read more

I'm convinced that the layout was designed by a blind man throwing darts. The associates are nice enough when you ask for help, but even they don't seem to fully understand this wack-ass setup. By far the WORST experience ever. If i could rate 0 stars I would. I placed an order (3:31pm) for pick up same day & received an e-mail (3:38pm) stating that my order would be ready within 4 hours. Which is fine I have done this many times before. It was 8:38pm & no information so i called the store & spoke to an associate in electrical who informed me that orders placed today are picked up after 10am the following day (which is only true if the order was placed after 6pm) I am transferred to the Support Manager John who proceeds to tell me the exact thing then puts me on hold...31m56s mins goes by since being placed on hold so i hang up & call again rings for 2m49s & no one picks up. I call again & wait (at this point i am above & beyond upset) 9m go by when some FINALLY picks up the phone & i get transferred & hung up on...this phone game goes on for a long time because its already 9:23pm (yeap a hour into it) finally the Support Manager John picks up & tells me that he has been running around trying to find my order..which is odd because THEY DONT HAVE MY INFORMATION YET!!!!!!! I went on the Walmart web site & it clearly states that my orer should have been ready by 7:36pm Tue, Oct 18 (today) I ask for his managers number & his snood remark "I cant give you my managers number, If you had a receipt - the number would be on the bottom" So at this point I lost it & politely say "John you are not worthy to be a manager, you're an a*hole" I dont normally loose my cool & I know it was not very nice...however waiting for a hour being tossed around from person to person, being lied too but most importantly being talked down too that was the straw that broke the camels back. Unfortunately I cant even cancel the order so now i have to wait even more & instead of just pulling the order to be done with it (me lol) nope. I should have listened to the other reviewers & stayed as far away from this place. p.s. I can not honestly ever remember going into this particular Walmart and not being happy with the service. Today I had a list with many items and I happened to luck out and get Mic to help me run down most of my stuff. I would have been there until midnight with out his help. What was not found on my list was only on the computer Walmart. This store is really out of my way however the one that is near me does not cut it for me. I have a hard time understanding how any chain can have so many nice and helpful people in one store and total NOT make my day in others. Thanks again Mic. read more

If it were possible I would give this Walmart 0 stars. I came in for a return ... Waited about 25 minutes in line for the only cashier who was working. Was told that they only do exchanges on electronics ... Which was fine they were speakers and I would like a pair of working ones. I had to then go find the exact pair of speakers to have replaced. Once located in the back of the store, I was unable to walk them up by myself so an associate had to carry the speakers up to the customer service. Meanwhile only 3 checkout lines are open. This Wal-Mart is the absolute worse. I don't understand why there are so many closed registers. I think all Wal-Mart stores operate that way (honestly) , which is ridiculous. I stood in line one time close to 45 minutes !! The only thing I do like about this Wal- Mart is the eyebrow bar that they have inside. It's called "SEVA". Went to grab a few things. Needed a phone cord so proceeded to electronics where I was told I would need to pay for the phone cord there. I explained that I had other shopping to do, he said that's to bad you need to pay here. I spend consistently $1000 on food and paper goods per month and a lot of it isn't at Wal-Mart anymore. This store has always had issues, cleanliness, stocked shelves, employee attitude and just not being a pleasant place to shop. Today on one of your busiest days of the year (Black Friday) I came to buy a book shelf, I could not get it in my basket because it was too heavy. I went to find assistance and I was directed to Keiarin, who helped me find a flat cart and as I was grabbing the cart he offered to come help me, not only put it on the cart but then told me I would need help putting it in the car. He stayed with me as I grabbed another item. He was very friendly and made what would have a been a difficult trip to the store very easy. He has great customer service and keeps a smile on his face. If I could give this review NO STARS ..... I WOULD!!!!! The "so called" workers are so caught up in their ow little world in bring out the pallets of valentines crap blocking several isals. Then it gets worse...the cashier Shelia approached the register and took over the transaction for the guy that started it. Shelia have a very bad attitude and acted like we were bothering her. She didn't say one word to me except doing heavy sighs. The tattoo "grumpier" totally matches her personality. Lastly at the end of transaction sh just handed me the receipt and started the next person and the cashier didn't check to see if all the items were off her bagging spindle. And she didn't even say thank you. If I was a manager and saw this she would be fired on the spot cause this is not how a cashier is supposed to act. read more

Awful Awful Awful .........unfortunately its only a mile from where I live and not another store closer. Never have shopping carts in the store whn u get there u mill around the parking lot to catch somebody rtn to there car and ask for the cart !! Went 5 times over 21/2 weeks for cabbage , morn , noon and night and it was never there . Alot of items are never there just an empty space . Or they carry am item and whn u go back there is another brand of the same kind of stuff but not the one u have been using . Some items dont even give u a choice they only have one kind and that is that . Service is horrid , since April have only had one nice cashier . You cant get any help waited 30 min in fabrics and had to walk down to the photo lab 2 times to get them to page someone , and then the girl was mift she had to help me . read more

This is the safest, cleanest, and best stocked Walmart in the Phoenix city limits. This location shows the most amount of pro-activeness in keeping customers and staff safe. They do not tolerate any illegal behavior inside or outside the store in the parking lot. You will get arrested. PPD units are generally within a one minute response time. Awesome! Parking is safe. Lots of stock. Rarely out of anything. The staff are actually nicer here than at more affluent Walmart locations in Chandler or Gilbert where they have attitudes. Went in for oil change & bought engine additive to add to oil & saw when picking up car they did NOT add the additive so buyer/customer beware as these guys are either stupid or they dont care--Also if they have idiots who dont do as customer asks then did they even change the filter or lube the vehicle as they are supposed to do--who knows?? Many other better places to go for sure other then THIS walmart where other places might acttually do the job we are paying for--Walmart is a disgrace. read more

Nothing to see here but a less than avg Walmart. Don't expect any service outside of the grocery side. It's hard to find anyone that speaks English on any given day. The lines are way too long its almost like the store manager purposely understaffs the cashiers because they know people will still shop here. There is only a 50/50 chance there will be any shopping carts inside. The one good thing is you might find a good deal on chicken or steaks. read more

I got to the automotive center 30 minutes before they closed for a tire repair. I requested that my tire be repaired with the roadside assistance that I had purchased when I purchased the tires. They told me that they could not repair my tires today and to come back another time. I explained that I use my car for work and that I can't not work on a spare tire. I than asked for a manager, and had to wait on a manager to speak with for almost 15 minutes before the first on should up and another 10 minutes before, I said to manager the shop does not close until 7pm and it was 6:30 when I had got there. He than told me he really didn't care and wasn't going to have the tire fixed for and to come back another day. I again explained that I had been there for 30 minutes and the tire should have already been fixed if they would have just done their jobs. He replied with it really don't matter now because it's after 7pm. All of these lazy employees should be fired. I worked in the automotive industry for many years and know that to tire repair takes about 30 minutes at worst to complete. I would give zero stars if I could worst Walmart ever. read more

I will never ever shop here again!!! Customer service starts with management and boy are they horrible!! I had a manager leave me talking to myself! I was bounced from employee to employee! Horrible Walmart!!! The assistant manager HOWARD treated us like second class citizens. He would not price match the toilet paper we were trying to buy when I clearly showed him a receipt and a printed out ad. He asked why we needed so much toilet paper. I found it odd that he was asking this question, which was none of his concern. I did, however, answered him. I said it was because we have a family of 15 that live at our house. He started laughing in front of my face and told me he would not price match me so I should leave. I cannot believe this HOWARD character is allowed to deal with customers. I remember when this particular Walmart opened great place to go, you could actually get a nice cut ribeye for under $6.90 a pound. Now it been probably about six months since I've gone back just because of declining service especially customer service but they have a better selection of natural supplement's so I figure I'd shop there one more time . As soon as I get out of my truck I have two transients fighting to get money from me ( yes Walmart has security and where is their security always you ask in the pack parking lot reading a book). But that's not my major complaint so here it goes, shelves half empty and you can't find anyone to help you and if your lucky enough well they only speak Bosnian or Afrikaans ( hope I spelled that right) then I go to get a movie and they made me pay for it there. I go to buy beer gotta pay for it there wtf is going on. I have to pay for chew only in one lane that's only 20 items or less but I have a full cart. But BUT it gets better all managers were to busy to speak to me but I was more then welcome to call another time. As I was leaving I was stopped at the exit and asked for my receipt, "do you suspect me of stealing ? " no it's the law for us to check" "oh really show me that A.R.S statue. But here is one for you stopping me from leaving with out a reasonable doubt that I have committed a crime is false imprisonment and is the law. I have never felt so unwelcome in a place of business that only runs by you purchasing items. Whoever is the manager for this Walmart should be fired. I am addressing the use of their pre paid visa/master cards. They don't tell you that the money you put ARE NOT ABLE TO BE USED UNTIL YOU RECEIVE YOUR PERMANENT CARD. With the exception of the Laveen WalMart, this one is among the worst of them. First of all, the receipt checker at the door is always annoying and makes inappropriate comments. If you are buying anything on clearance you have to endure the painfully slow cashier lines (self-check out won't register correct prices). The only good thing about this Walmart is their ice cream section that serves a single scoop of ice cream for 50 cents. During my last visit I asked the door greeter about shopping carts and was told (and I quote) "our last manager stole hundreds of them so we don't mess with them anymore.... maybe you can find one in the parking lot but that's on you". Avoid this Walmart if at all possible, you would be better off driving the extra distance to any other store. read more

I shop at Walmart in general very rarely only because I don't think they possess many values when it comes to employees and community. With that said, I do occasionally go there for things I can't find elsewhere or I know will save me enough money to make it worth my while. Anyway, I recently went there to buy dog shampoo (which petco and petsmart are way overpriced on) and decided to pick out a toy for my beloved dog. So I'm looking thru the bin of various dog toys and here comes the pet dept employee. He felt it necessary to clean up the dog bin at the exact moment I happened to be shopping for a dog toy. So during my search for a toy he starts pulling toys out of the bin that didn't belong there. Understandable. But then he grabbed a toy out of my hand! WTF! I immediately said something and he apologized as he continued to grab toys right out from under me. Then he started scolding me that he was just doing his job. It got so bad I gave up my search for a toy and walked away. He continued his scolding as I tried to leave to the point that I turned around to get his name to report to the manager. Though the manager took the info she didn't seem like anything would be accomplished. It was a very uncomfortable situation and uncalled for. Out of all the things this creep could of been working on he just had to work on the one thing I was shopping for (I was the only customer in the aisle) and then behave so rudely I needed to leave. I went here last night at about 9pm. Admittedly, I was already frustrated since I was going to the store for my oldest child for something I thought was ridiculous especially being out that late. She stayed in the car & I went looking for a syringe. I looked, but did not have a clue. I saw an employee from afar & started to walk toward her. she saw me & looked down. It was obvious she did not want to be bothered. Even tho I was exhausted & already irritated, I still smiled her & apologized for bothering her. I then asked her if she knew where a syringe was. Her answer: she shrugged. I tried again & she said "I DONT KNOW". wow, rude. I found another employee, smiled again (even tho at this point, I could feel my face on fire) her answer "I dont even think we have it, what did you call it" looking very irritated at me.. I repeated it & she said "i dont know try pharmacy" as she turned away from me. I walked toward pharmacy which was on the other side of the store. I again asked an employee AT pharmacy. I was told we dont have it. As I walked down the aisle in pharmacy (shocked & mad at everyone's behavior) i glanced at one of the shelves & there a syringe was hanging. If I could rate this 0 starts I most definitely would!!! NEVER shopping here again!! please never shop here! They have really bad customer service, They are every very rude!!! Was followed around for no apparent reason, was constantly being bothered by the same employee and her assistant, made a mistake and she ran up to me as if I was stealing or doing something bad workers were very very unprofessional, was also being surrounded by many workers, 2 workers were making smart remarks and comments on a simple mistake felt very unwelcomed. Manager also created a scene which a manager should not conduct herself. Would also like to add that I was treated very poorly. I honestly feel like was being singled out by the way my husband looked and was dressed Called the Walmart to address the situation and was on hold for more than a hour!!! Then when I reached a manager she let me explain less then half of the situation and rudely began to yell at me as if I was the one at fault. The location is very convenient. it is a little over a mile off I -17 on the 35th Avenue. The store is large and clean. There are several large tables by the deli department. you can buy food and eat there. The check out is slow and line is usually long. read more

It is stupid for this place to close at 12 o'clock. And on top of that not have enough cashiers to get the people out if you're going to close at 12. And changing over the money at 12 is not convenient for the customer. And it takes one cashier to open up six self checkouts instead of having one cashier for one lane for 30 people in it read more
