A reasonable Walmart Supercenter though it is rare that I stop at this location. I decided to venture in here to complete my shopping list. I was almost successful in that I collected 5 of the 7 items that I wanted. One item was out of stock - I think Walmart in general may stop carrying it and the other item in Homegoods was damaged goods. Otherwise it was a fairly typical shopping experience that required no interaction with any workers. I'll likely continue to shop here from time to time. read more

Nightcrawlers were bad one time and they never reordered for about a month and half. when i asked about it i was told they arent gonna order them because they always come in dead. I find this crazy considering a walmart within 3 miles from you carries nightcrawlers, improper rotation leads to them getting bad so it Just seems like an excuse at this point. So my husband and I came to get some stuff for dinner tonight and one of the things was cole slaw. We grabbed one of the grab and go containers and it had already gone bad THREE. DAYS AGO. We didn't see the expiration date until after we both smelled it and took a small bite. It ended up making the both of us throw up and neither of us are feeling too good. This Walmart has also provided us with: moldy fruit/veggies, slimy and sticky meats, and broken electronics that they wouldn't accept when we tried to return them. This Wal-Mart is my favorite Wal-Mart! Which is convenient because it's the closest one to my house. Wal-Mart's can be chaotic, not always super clean and just a hassle to go to. Not this one! Its clean, well stocked, the employees are friendly. I have been here many times but I go inside far less than I used to due to Wal-Mart Grocery pickup! I use the service once to twice a week. It's awesome. I shop for my groceries on the walmart grocery app, check in when I'm on my way and they bring my groceries to my car when I park in the designated grocery pick up spaces. The app is easy to use, the prices and descriptions are accurate. The shoppers have consistently been accurate. If any items are out of stock or need to be substituted, they are great at communicating that. It saves me time and the hassle of going inside the store, I'm not a huge fan of grocery shopping. This service is free if you spend $35 or more. I love it and hope it continues! read more

I lived in Aloma Woods, walking distance from this store, although it wasn't here when I left the area. Kohl's was here, and the Circuit City store than never materialized. When I drove past this location on Saturday, I was shocked, especially after seeing Winn-Dixie was gone. I didn't even see a store greeter at the entrance. However, I noticed that this is almost as big as the Super stores in my current area. That's big, and with a grocery, you can stay away from the Publix on the other side of Aloma that's charging too much. One thing I noticed that's different from most Super stores is that this and other small Walmart stores have a fabrics and crafts section. Given that Joann Etc. could be so far, this should be a draw, especially when it's Sunday night and little Johnny didn't tell you that he has a project due Monday morning. The store seems okay, but they carved out too much space for the grocery, and they didn't leave enough for other areas, so it all seemed a bit squeezed to me, and they were missing a large inventory that the non-Super stores would have otherwise. I always have a problem with Walmart, even their name brand products fail early. read more

I just returned from the Walmart on Deep Lake Rd. in Oviedo. I spent nearly an hour arguing with Danielle who identified herself as the manager and three other people about getting the money back on the core charge for the two automotive batteries purchased almost three years ago. I had the receipt showing the deposit of $12.00 for each of the two batteries was paid and the receipt was provided. They refused to give my core charge back for the batteries I carried in and tried to return unless I purchased new batteries again. I did not want more batteries I just wanted to get my core charge back for the batteries I was returning. I had to leave with the batteries and did not get my refund. My wife was shopping there as I was arguing at the service desk, I called her on the cell phone and told her to leave the cart, we will no longer spend money at Walmart. I even Googled the policy of everyone selling automotive batteries, including Walmart on returning the deposit money on batteries, known as core charge, and showed it to her, but she would not budge. I turned in two batteries when I bought these batteries and got my core charge back for them, but had to pay a new core charge for the new batteries I was buying, nobody could understand how a deposit and refund for deposit works. read more

Located in the Kohl's plaza near the intersection of 417/Aloma at the Oviedo/Winter Park line, a few blocks away from the Tuskawilla/Aloma stoplight. It's a Walmart, I'm not getting into the politics, just reviewing this location. This store is the first in Orlando of the new concept by Walmart called a Mini, Super Walmart. It's 99,000 sq ft, so about 50,000 sq ft smaller than the larger Super Centers that are in the central FL area. (99,000 square feet is a strategic number, as they fall under regular big box store zoning and not the 100,000sq ft+ big box zoning- which seems to have many more regs and zoning restrictions.) Missing at this smaller formatted store are the garden center and the auto center, though the other standard departments are here. Walking in, the Food/Grocery side is on the left side of the building, the expanded walmart offerings (Electronics, Sporting goods (including Ammo), pharmacy, health and beauty, clothes, etc.) are on the right side of the store. Produce section is very small, a bit bigger than what the Target stores have rolled out, but much smaller than a Supercenter or Neighborhood store. Overhead department signage was prominent, making it easy to navigate the stores unfamiliar layout. Prices seem in line with the other super centers, from the few items I shopped. Staff was very nice. The access to the Walmart parking lot is awful, so take care getting in and out. Exiting the Walmart parking lot to turn left onto Aloma at the light, means you should be prepared to head out through the Kohl's parking lot next door, since traffic is so backed up at the Deep Lake/Aloma light. Whoever planned and approved this traffic pattern, really should have their head examined. I foresee this getting changed in the future as traffic is already getting backed up on Deep Lake and Aloma/426. read more

I have only been to this store 3 times, and 2 of those times experienced rude staff members. My first trip, I got into an argument trying to return a gift for store credit, and the 2 "customer service" reps treated me like I was a thief for not having a receipt (but the manager set them straight because the item I was returning was locked in the electronics department and therefore not likely to be stolen). The second time, I was fortunate to have one of the nicest cashiers I've ever interacted with, but this morning when I called to ask if they were open, the lady who answered the phone was extremely impolite. I think that you'd be shocked to know that she was unpleasant and acted like I'd called at 3 am and asked to borrow money! When I got to the store and grabbed the 3 items I wanted and went to the self checkout, one of the staff rudely told me "there's someone using that register" when there was a cart full of items near the register but nobody near the cart. When I challenged her, she rudely said "go to that register" as another one opened up. The store management needs to be aware of the arrogance and rudeness of these employees as I don't get this attitude at any other Walmart Supercenter in the area (Casselberry, South Daytona, etc.) or at the Walmart Family Markets (which I wish I'd gone to now). With the number of people out of work because of COVID, there's plenty of people who want to work and will be pleasant while doing it - I wish I'd gotten their names because you need to fire these employees as they're poisonous. Went to this store two days ago, spent close to $300 on baby items, one item was a $5 bottle of teething medicine. They had problems finding the price on this bottle because it had no box and no scan but they looked it up and sold it to me. I get home and open the bottle and it has been used. I go to return it with my receipt and they tell me I can't return it without the box. They sold it to me without a box but can't accept it back without a box. You have to be careful with this place, so much stuff is used and been returned and you don't know until you get home and they won't let you open up a box to make sure it is new before you buy it. I won't be shopping here anymore and I know people tend to say that and not mean it but I am so done. read more

I was there today with an ad in hand asked for a price match and the manager (later found out he wasn't a manager), denied it...he said that why didn't I go to the store with the sale price item? I guess they don't want my money and take it my business else where!! I called other walmarts in my area and every store has a different price matching policy according to the Walmart Corp policy a customer doesn't have to have the ad in hand, the only price matching that they don't do is Amazon. I generally do not like Wal-Mart stores, but this one (dare I say it) wasn't that bad. It was cleaner and better organized than I other Wal-Marts that I've ventured into and I was pleasantly surprised to find a good amount of UCF Knight merchandise. The store was easy to navigate with large signs pointing you to the different sections and the best part of my whole experience was the check-out process. Although this Wal-Mart was busy, they had adequate numbers of sales associates at the check-out lanes and the process was pretty speedy. As I've mentioned, I'm not too fond of Wal-Marts in general, but I wouldn't mind returning to this one. read more

I dropped them to two stars basically because the managers don't seem to want to work the customer service desk in this store. They always seen to have one person working the customer service area and even one person in line in front of me took over ten minutes. The people in line saw the managers come by a few times and did not offer to take on the work. They just zipped away ignoring us in line, this happens all the time at this location. i have dramatically stopped going to any Walmart basically due to lack of cashiers and the fact that they tend to hire the dumbest employees on the planet. Every once in a blue moon I have to buy the standard pile of junk that you know Walmart sells cheaper than anyone else. I have been going to Target a lot more they are clean and they hire good employees for the most part. Still occasionally those cheap over the counter drug prices and other items get me into Walmart. It's a walmart ... what is there to say. It is a smaller walmart as compared to others but it still seems to have a good selection and assortment of goods. The aisles seem smaller and more narrow which makes it more of a pain to squeeze through if you have another "walmater" in the same aisle. So you either try to be patient or excuse yourself through as politely as possible without the chance of being barked back by a potential "people of walmart." The dry goods section is always stocked well and prices are always competitive. Everything from the shampoo to laundry detergent. The fruits and vegetables leaves a little to be desired, but oh well. In a bind it is a good place to pick up some fruits and vegetables and never had any problems other than they seem to go bad a little quicker versus another location. Just my impression or the truth? Hmmm? But it's a convenient store location and it's walmart, so yes, I will be back. read more

I just left a full basket of groceries because I had bought 24 cans of Fancy Feast cat food and had a $1 off coupon and it wouldn't go through their system for some reason it was not expired it was fine the CSM comes over red headed girl with glasses very nasty said sorry we can't do this gave me no reason other than it wouldn't go through their system. I was so ticked, I told them they could put away every bit of groceries in that basket and void my order I was leaving. utter BS. I am absolutely astonished by the complete lack of customer service at the store. I purchased a Bluetooth speaker from another Walmart that was not good quality and wanted to return it four days later. I took a picture of my receipt as I do with all of my receipts and went to exchange it here. They would not accept the receipt because it was a photo and would only take a paper receipt. I offered my credit card transaction to go along with that and they completely dismissed me. They said the policy was in place to protect them from people trying to scam them. I feel that if you have an honest customer with credit card transactions, a picture of the receipt with the product itself all that they had to do was scan it and it would show up. First time here last night. It doesn't look very big on the outsize but it's a nice size store. Walk ways are narrow so you have to be careful passing another shopping cart. Parking lot is decent though entrance/exit options can be confusing depending on which direction you're coming from/headed to. Staff was friendly. Lines started building up while I was there. A couple other cashiers opened up to beat the line back down. That's very unusual for Walmart! This might turn into my regular grocery stop. read more

DO NOT BUY WALMART GIFT CARDS FROM THIS STORE! My entire family has be shopping at this Walmart store for years. In fact our family owns a small business in the area and we buy Walmart gift cards as Christmas presents to give to our wonderful employees. Sadly Walmart does not protect their own gift cards from being hacked nor honor them when they are. Was it a criminal in their store that Walmart failed to stop? Was it an inside job by a Walmart employee? Sadly we will probably never know. We bought the gift cards as Christmas presents and like any red blooded American we expect them to be secure just like when we buy medications, food or soda pop. It is Walmart's responsibility to the consumer sell us a secure item that is safe and sound and have exactly what was advertised inside the packaging or gift card. We expected Walmart who made over $13,000,000,000 billion dollars in profit in 2021 to rectify the situation by giving us another gift card but sadly they do not care about their reputation nor their customers. 12 lanes only two open management sent two cashiers home. Its the holiday season. Lines backed up 10-15 deep. Shop Publix.

We counted over 15 employees throughout the store, however arrived to the registers to check-out with $150 worth of groceries, and there were ZERO registers open. Only self-checkout. And TWO employees named Stephanie and Selina stood there watching and gossiping as we rang up our own items. I understand budget cuts, however if you're paying two people to stand there and WATCH me ring myself up and bag my own items, then they can just as easily be DOING the cashier's job and actually EARNING their paycheck. My husband and I are both nurses and it pisses me off that employees think they can milk their employee of money by standing around doing nothing. If we did that at the hospital, people would notice and patients would die. I don't understand this mentality or WalMart's thought process of paying people to stand in their store not doing anything.
