I usually stop into this Publix when I need a quick grocery item when shopping at Target, eating at Bronx House, or snagging some Jelati from Jeremiah's Italian Ice. I'll pop in grab a few items to throw dinner together later in the evening. Once in a while I stop in to pick up lunch if I don't feel like dining-in anywhere and just want to chill in my car with some music. The sushi, salads, and made-to-order sandwiches have never let me down. Staff are always friendly and the store is kept clean and orderly. This location is very busy and parking can be a PITA but I've never had an issue getting in and out in of here in a reasonable amount of time. On my most recent visit I stopped in to pick up a couple bags of Giovanni Rana Spinach Tortellini (Family Size on sale for $6.99) and Basil pasta sauce for dinner. I also decided to purchase some sushi for lunch. I went with the 10-piece Wednesday Crunchy CA Roll for $5, not bad. It's much cheaper than eating out at Bronx House. When you're on the run it only makes sense to get something quick like this. Plus, I don't recall ever receiving an old or yucky sushi item from Publix, so it's a win all around. I did not know they serve ramen here. So I figured I will at least try it out. I chose the tonkotsu pork ramen. The server told me it will take about 5 min and I can come back. So I went to do my shopping and came back and the food is ready. When I got home and ate them, the soup is packaged separately and I poured the soup in. It was very yummy and delicious. Victoria at customer service on 12/4 at 4:19pm is the worst employee I've ever encountered at Publix. I'm already having a bad day and she couldn't help me return a gift card because I didn't purchase it there. I told her I got it as a gift and not sure the next time I'll see the person who gifted it to me. She said "well you have time." What kind of response is that? She then left me at the counter and thankfully Nadia, saw my frustration and attended to me. Nadia was able to successfully help me file a claim for my gift card return. While Nadia was doing that, Victoria was I guess what you call... "growling" at the wall and making origami out of customer's submitted scratch cards. I have never had any issues at this Publix location. The prices for the items I need are always great, and sometimes the buy-one-get-one-free offers can cause my pantry to be overstocked for a month or two. I appreciate that they have six express self-checkouts, which allows my brother to practice scanning and bagging the groceries. Always clean inside. Carts ready - Mgr has his team picking up carts & clearing the parking lot constantly. As usual, friendly helpful folks throughout the store. We always catch every employee smiling. With the exception of a tall dark-haired younger guy who works in the seafood area. He always has an attitude. Which is so glaring because it is antithetical to every other Publix employee we've encountered in the 55+ years we've shopped at Publix stores throughout FL. Somebody needs to sit this cocky young a**hat down and teach him The Publix Way. Or just wait until the inevitable happens and he gets clocked by some Publix shopper who is so fed up with his d+ck attitude. The aisles are always so neat and clean and the employees always greet me with a smile and willingness to help!! Publix is always good with their BOGOFs (I do want to take a second to point out that it's not BOGO, since it's not exactly a deal when you buy one, that you only get one - instead of get one FREE, but I digress). On yesterday's visit, I picked up some Barilla sauce - pretty good deal at less than $1.40 a jar! How Publix and others are changing with the times - witness a whole shelf dedicated to Organic wines that I noticed! Publix' wine selection overall is pretty outstanding for a grocery store. I noticed torrontes as well as Nero D'Avolas on my most recent visit - not exactly the most commonly-known grapes. I ended up taking 3 bottles of wine yesterday, even though I'd gone in just to get water (since our water filter is under repair). Perhaps that says more about me than Publix :-) Now if you ARE buying water, I recommend Publix' "Purified" over "Drinking". I proved to my wife in a blind taste test which was which (since I bought both) even before I tasted the second one. Purified water is totally clean and tasteless, wheras "Drinking" tells you immediately that it's sourced from municipal taps. I did find fault with the fact that their water shelves were practically empty early on a Friday afternoon - I told the customer rep that someone wasn't doing his/her job. She was apologetic and rectified the situation. One more little peeve. There was a coupon on one of the wines - get $5 off when you also buy steak! Twist my arm no more - I'm in. As I was checking out - and I only had 7-8 items total, lady says to me when she looked at the coupon, "Sir: this is only good if you bought steak", she paused, since I was looking at her funny, "Did you buy steak?" At that point, I felt like pulling a Nicholson on her (you know, the little lecture he gave the waitress in Five Easy Pieces where she says he can't order toast...) Ma'am - you just rang my order through, not to mention you also have it right in front of you on the screen, just like I have it on MY side on the screen: YOU tell me whether I bought steak and can therefore use this coupon! Furthermore, why are you asking me: if I didn't buy steak, but told you I did, would you believe me? Who knows: maybe that says more about ME than it says about her. Time to go home and crack open one of those bottles and de-stress. It's been a long week. read more

This is not my usual Publix and I've only been a couple times. I did not find the staff friendly here and the cashier barely acknowledged me. I went on a weekday morning but it was extremely crowded. The layout is much much different from other stores I frequent and it seemed so dark. As with most Publix's it was very clean which is always a plus. They often have good sales and coupons if you're a budget savvy shopper like I am. I also recommend if you are ordering a sub or deli order to order ahead on the app. I find it much faster that way and my order has always been ready when I arrive. I think improvements in customer service should be made at this location and possibly better lighting. Other than that it's fine if you don't mind it being super busy. read more

They also have a separate florist section, which is massive compared to the other publix stores that have a florist area. The layout is a lot different, but just like every Publix, it was immaculate and well-maintained. Publix is basically a Whole Foods mixed with WaWa. They are a fancy-ish grocery store where you can also get fresh subs and deli items. The fresh lunch selection is huge. They also have a customer service counter that does lottery/money orders/etc. Its my favorite grocery store chain. read more

After it being remodeled it definitely brought more to the table, they have a lot more organic selections, way more wine/cheese options, hot food and salad bar area, of course publix subs/deli section....AND to me this publix has the best layout and always appears clean in comparison to other publixs Ive been to. There is a Publix at Hunt Club on 436 that we normally shop at, but we were closer to this Publix, so mum stopped here to pickup some milk and produce. The veggie and produce section at this location was pretty fresh looking. It's a well laid out store and staff were friendly and courteous too. I think what most impressed me that there is a marked- down section by the pharmacy section with great deals - mix of stuff here from candles to diapers to canned goods! While visiting friends we came to this Publix for some quick grocery shopping. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by one of the people that work there, and while walking the isles we were greeted a couple times more, even by managers. Right at the entrance you have the deli and bakery, then vegetables, and the rest of the isles with everything you might need. This store is very organized and really clean and it seemed bigger than the Publix stores I usually go to. One of the things we went for was beer... They have a good selection of American & Imported beers but, on top of that, they also have a selection of Craft beers for you to mix/ match and make your own six pack. That's not all! They have a liquor store right next to it. Now, how convenient is that?!!? One stop and we got it all. One visit and I'm spoiled. I want "my" Publix to be like this one! read more

I shopped right before the hurricane... not the best time to grocery shop (I don't recommend this for anyone). Surprisingly the store had all of the items on my list, yes... even water. The water aisle was empty, however when I turned the corner a whole pallet was there. It was going so quickly it didn't make it to.the shelves. The staff was pleasant and helpful. They worked efficiently to assure that the customers were assisted during this stressful time. For the most part a pretty good location as most Publix's provide you with great customer service. It's in a more "upscale" part of town, but so close to my house I opt here besides Walmart which I despise. There is one cashier, which I won't describe because it's rude but she's soooo slow I intentionally avoid her line. The deli is super slow too. Yesterday I had two numbers ahead of me, 5 people working the deli and instead of helping two guys were talking derogatory about women. I'll still frequent this location when need be, but I'll go out of my way if I need something in the deli. read more

This is an amazing Publix, just like the rest of them the service is the best and there prices are very competitive, not only that they take coupons from other retailers. The Deli is incredible you can get anything from your typical sub or a chicken cut up or Pizza,Chinese food. The staff is very nice and friendly and your order is made fresh and pretty quick plus if you don't want to pay up front they will be glad to ring you up at the register in the deli. This location is located in Lake Mary right next to a Target, this former location use to be a Winn-Dixie and got bought and remodel in to a very nice Publix. Great spot to go for lunch or dinner and then do some grocery shopping. The food it self taste great and there is so many choices you dont know what to pick, there is plenty of space to sit including out side and inside and also you can get a soft drink from the deli or walk down to the aile and get something else or even better get some of there delicious sweet tea from the Deli. read more

When I'm standing in a line at 9:00 pm and you have 7 employees on the front end with one register open. That shows me I'm not important and I see that cleaning registers so employees can go home is more important than checking out the customers. That doesn't look good in my book and you shouldn't have a line at that time of night. The blonde on "ten items and less" knew I was pissed then someone walks up behind me and she opens a register for their two items! Wow! You also need to teach them how to bag groceries. I sit there and watch them put soap with vegetables and meat all in the same bag. Unbelievable! You know I don't mind paying more to shop Publix because I expect customer service and I've been up since 5:30 am and drove all over town today. I was at this Pubix picking up a few items and browsed the hot food case. I was thinking of getting something there until I saw the elderly man behind the counter handling the linguini with his hand and wearing NO gloves. At my local Publix expired items on shelf. I've experienced this issue multiple times. Sales items not ringing up the sale price. Let me not get started with the lack of variety on Italian bread...why don't they make more seeded bread instead of so much of the plain?? read more

There really isn't more to say that the other reviewers haven't. This location is amazing. I find it very simple to find quality organic/lightly processed food here for decent prices. The Greenwise (organic/specialty/raw food) sections are scattered throughout the store and prominently, a Greenwise section (a few half aisles) is concentrated in front of the registers featuring a large bulk bean/nut/grain selection and a large cooler selection. The short story is Whole Foods is expensive and far away. The Fresh Market is not quite so expensive but in a weird plaza. This Publix hits a homerun with pricing, location and selection. FYI, the deli/pre-cooked food court is a huge convenience during the week if you have kids. read more

As I approached this Publix Deli area from the side, I had not seen the large sign in front to indicate what it was I was walking towards. Thus, based on the swanky outdoor seating, I thought I was encountering a local sandwich shop. Yet, as I got closer, I realized it was a special Deli section of the ever-popular Publix grocery store. Once inside, I was astonished by what I saw considering no other Publix I have been in has been setup this way nor do they have such a fancy and wonderful eating area. High ceilings and brightly colored walls marked their Deli area with class and warmth. If you are from New York State, think of Wegman's. I first noticed the sandwich counter which looked the same on the surface. But as I looked closer, I realized the menu was completely different. On top of their normal offerings, they have special sandwiches to please your tummy: Honey Maple Turkey with Brie and Grilled Vegetables with Provolone are just two of the gourmet choices. They both cost quite a bit though, around $9. Next to the sandwiches was the salad counter which offers Crisper's brand salads. Across the way they have a soup counter with 7 choices including Wild Mushroom Bisque. And across from that, there is a Carvery, a Hot Foods counter, a Burger Station and the Pacific Wok. Their burgers aren't just the everyday variety either. You can order yours Teriyaki style or substitute ground Turkey if you like. As far as the Asian cuisine, they have many of our favorites such as Chicken Potstickers, General Tso's Chicken and Mongolian Beef. These entrees range in price from $5 to $8. I definitely left the Deli a very happy camper knowing this was a new option. It was well organized, priced a bit high, but the quality was there. And should the weather be undesirable, the indoor seating was rather nice and didn't feel like something you'd find in the heart of a grocery store. read more

They recently revamped their Greenwise section-it's lovely. Their deli usually annoys me. Of course it's always crowded, but it seems like no one can take the time to look down and see me in the wheelchair. At least I can always get through the sub line with no issue because it's laid out properly. I guess I just need to start screaming louder when no one pays attention...next time. Bakery is always A++ and they always offer me a free cookie when I stop to drool at the goodies in the case. Fish dudes and hot foods close an hour (or earlier) before the store closes. Alright, so this is my fave publix. Why? Because of the awesome ready to eat aisle. First, they have a variety of soups (chili is my fave...although the chicken noodle is also good). If you are in the mood for soup, then head over to the kick-ass build your own salad stand. This is not just your average 5 item salad bar, they have a decent variety of toppings like...are you ready?...soy beans! heck yeah! Not a salad freak? alright, head to hot bar where you can find your traditional asian and latin american food items. Wanna grab something fancy for dinner tonight? go to the already cooked cold bar where you find a wide variety of lunch/dinner items. Asides from the amazing ready-to-eat aisle...I also like that this publix has a decent selection of organic items and that most of them are in one centralized location. This is the best Publix within miles. (The second best being on SR. 50, on the way to KSC, where there is a Mr. Rey in the Deli section, and they make delicious subs and even their produce section has fresher and better tomatoes!) I was looking for a Feta which was on special when I met JULIE from the Deli, she actually came out from behind the deli counter to help me! Anyway, to cut to the chase, Julie introduced me to two new products today! She asked me to taste them, and I was hesitant but gratefully ( tastefully really) complied. I had told her I was making Pizza from scratch tonight. She asked me what kind, and then suggested Boars head lemon pepper (and also let me taste another one) which was what was actually the better one for a pizza and the one I ended up buying!! She cut the slices thick for me, as per requirement for pizza. The cheese I tried and loved and bought was Boars Head Swedish Fontina cheese! It is going to be my new favorite! There are two other Publix supermarkets nearer to my house where I usually shop, but whenever I drive past here, I like to stop by, and puck up my groceries. I am so glad I did today!! This grocery has everything when visiting Florida. I found a nice young man to help me find a few items. The only thing I could not find was the travel size. They have fresh produce, fresh squeezed OJ, cheeses, bread, huge water selection, and even a beer aisle. All the workers we very nice. I will be returning. read more

This location was renovated a couple of years ago and is, to me, kind of like a ... Super-Publix. It's just a lot different and more sophisticated than the majority of the rest. Used to come here a lot when I lived/worked in Lake Mary/Heathrow. Now I'm downtown and go to the College Park Publix ... which, mind you, is nothing to raise a fuss about. It's just that the Lake Mary Publix is the best I've been to. Almost worth a drive on I-4 just to go grocery shopping. I did that at least once - maybe even 2 or 3 times - since I moved downtown. Although all Publix stores try to go above and beyond compared to other grocery stores, this Publix location in Lake Mary has so/so customer service. The staff, in all the departments, don't seem as willing to resolve questions anymore, and no one is willing to go the extra mile to make your shopping experience special. The product in the bakery and meat department are not as good as it used to be. The fresh made sushi is good. I have no complaints about this store in the past, however lately it has gone downhill and the parking situation is awful. read more

The subs are awesome, as is the fried chicken, soups and salad bar... however I would stay away from the Chinese Food, I didn't care much for any of it there. the Pharmacy is fast and friendly as well. We bought Natalie's fresh squeezed OJ It was putrefied when we opened it. I drank a small amount and promptly became sick. This is not the first time buying bad food from Publix in Lake Mary. I sent someone who works for me to return the juice. He was told they had to look in to it and refused to refund the cost of the juice. They refused to take the juice. Bad food purchases included chicken, beef, fresh seafood, fresh produce, frozen food that had been refrozen, stale bread with mold, fresh dairy products. Please verify the expire dates. Be careful buying fresh dairy products. I brought the expired cottage cheese, yogurt and sour cream to the front desk to show the expired dates. The expired dated items were back in the dairy area the next day. read more
