Needed to pick up three replacement wiper blades for the car we were using during our short trip to Chicago. Originally went to the nearby Autozone, but decided to walk to this Walmart, assuming it had similar product with lower prices. Rain-X was the brand that they sold here, and the selection wasn't great...with the Conventional version being sold out of many of the sizes. Ended up getting a higher end model. Checkout was easy, using the self-service lanes. Didn't type in any information for purchase, but Walmart knew I was a Walmart+ member (probably through the credit card). Sure enough, got an email later thanking me for my purchase, and the items appearing on my on-line history. read more

I'll go with 4.49 stars for this Walmart which we much prefer of the two Walmarts in our area (this one and the one in Niles on Golf Rd). It's clean and bright and well organized and the clientele are a grade higher. They also have a well paved, well laid out, and relatively spacious parking lot for their huge customer base. We avoid visiting any Walmart on the weekends as they are always very crowded then, and we tend to come at quieter weekday times because we can. Today, wife saw some pie crusts that were $2 cheaper than the same exact product at Jewel. We also pick up bread and some grocery items on occasion here. Other visits have included gardening related items or kiddo stuff. I have tried some of their house brand cough syrups in the past but found they are not the quality and effectiveness of the brand name equivalents, so you get what you pay for on some of the pharmacy items anyway. Minimum wage last set in 2008, adjusted for inflation into today, would be near thirty an hour, it is corporate greed showcased at Walmart and other global employers who constantly manipulate and extort their hard working staff for investors and head profits who have nothing to do with actual consumers like you and me. It is always difficult coming here for the massive selection, great brands and decent layout, and at this location quite clean and open space because of the price gouging alongside bragging about record profits. Employees given no proper benefits or vacation yet the board members rake in seven figures. I have been shopping here for the past five years since I moved to this part of the neighborhood and I have to say it is pathetic how few payroll hours and very little HR efforts for recruiting and training the store is given. Someone take a Walton off one of their yachts and tell them to give more money or take out one of those ridiculous corporate executives are overpaid in Arkansas. Today I spent $750 in this local Walmart to only be harassed and followed by your self checkout employee Allan. He WATCHED me scan all of my items and when I went to leave, after he WATCHED me pay my bill, asked me if the machine asked for the serial number for the Gourmia air fryer I purchased. In response I asked, "excuse me, what are you talking about? No it didn't." He stated he needed to find the serial number of the item in case I needed to return it. I responded, "what is this exactly about? Do you think I just stole this? You literally just made that up. You also just watched me pay for this entire order". He then just blatantly asks for the receipt. I declined. I then grabbed my cart to leave and he grabs my cart as well trying to passively stop me from moving forward as to not come off "too aggressive" but we had already surpassed that. I pushed past him and went towards the exit and he proceeded to follow me. I ignored him and I showed my digital receipt to the doorman and left. I will NEVER patron at that location ever again which is really unfortunate because up until today this was my favorite Walmart in the state of Illinois to shop (I've shopped at many). It is really disgusting that black customers are constantly having to combat your intentionally racist employees who will literally risk their lives over a $30 toaster but will let ANY assuming white person walk out with carts of merchandise they never even scanned. I'm tired. I already didn't want to spend my hard earned capital one rewards with this company because of the large amount of donations made to the Trump administration but I had no choice. And of course the experience would be disrespectful, racist and aggressive, because what other expectations would I have at a Walmart in the suburbs of Illinois?! Also didn't even want to GO INTO this store but the order I placed online and via the app got cancelled 3 times. So again I was left with no choice but to go. Trust, I would have much rather gotten it delivered to not even have to deal with the whole negative experience that is Walmart. This is a nicely laid out, clean Walmart Supercenter with a good variety of selections. I have read some of the comments in the reviews that this place is dirty. I have not seen that in my visits here so far. I have only gotten groceries here the few times I have been but I have not had any issues. I have not had any employee customer service interactions besides their cashiers so not sure how good or not good their service is. I also read in some review that this place is massive. It is big however, massive is not the word I would use as I have seen some of the massive ones like the ones in Palatine (Dundee and Rand) and Niles (Golf and Milwaukee) that seem bigger. I like this store better than the two I normally go to but it's out of my way so I can't go frequently unless I happen to be in the area. read more

Worst Walmart in the history of Walmarts. Waited about 20 min in line because they only have 2 registers, of which only one is open half the time!!! Today was one of the days with one register open (even though there were nine other personnel manning the 21 self checkouts) The ladies in front of me in line had a VERY large order. Walmart online orders delivery system is terrible. I reported it already in store and online. They always deliver it to the wrong address. It is embarrassing to hunt down the packages from neighbor's doors every time! How embarrassing??? Today they delivered five 20-pound rice bags at my neighbor's door that i have to hunt down and carry those heavy bags to my house. This is very irresponsible and unacceptable. Went to Wally World the other day to pick up a few items, This is why I love the suburbs -- no one there and no pandemonium. I decided it was my duty for my fellow Yelpers to do a bathroom review, and was I scared. BATHROOM REVIEW -- This Wally World was remodeled 3 years ago and the bathrooms was really modern and nice!!! This is my go to Walmart because it's so close. It's a Supercenter so it has the full grocery store as well. It's always very clean and stocked. My dislikes are that every time I ask someone where to find something they either can't speak English or have no idea where to find anything. The store is a little bit confusing and I don't think it was setup with the proper flow. Lastly the parking lot is a nightmare I have almost got into accidents and my husband was hit while putting our daughter in the car by another car backing up (super dangerous)!! Other than that the staff is friendly and the store stays very clean. They have everything you would expect Walmart to have, it's really no different then any other Super Centers. Oh and the Market pizzas over near the deli are exceptional they are my go to when I want store bought pizza because of the price and the delicious taste!! read more

I used to shop at this Walmart at least once a week and sometimes more. Now I try to avoid it altogether. The prices are often higher than most of the local grocery stores. They have removed all of the price scanners so if you have a question about the price of an item, you have to hunt down a store employee who will roll their eyes at you if you ask for them to check the price for you. You have to read every expiration date because often there is expired food on the shelf in this store. Some of the employees are still helpful but many are very rude and will argue with you over any little thing. I was trying to use a coupon for an item that I was buying. I bought the exact item that was pictured on the coupon. This particular coupon that I could buy a certain product AND/OR another product. This means that I could buy either item or any combination. The lady at the self-checkout got very hostile and told me that I absolutely had to buy both of the products. That's not what AND/OR means and more importantly, why are they being so rude? Call a manager over if there is really a question. sheesh! Not worth the hassle shop there anymore. I'm surprised that the store is still as busy as it is because there are much better places to shop nearby. read more

Had so many varieties of things in the store. Shelves are well stocked Loved it. One of the best Walmart I've been in a while. Employees were very helpful and great customer service. The Management is amazing and seems to care for their patrons as well. Walmart really fantastic store. Clean store. Both in food and non-food items they carry a limited number of national brands, their prices are usually better. Their house brands are good quality and very competitively priced. Overall great place to get groceries and household items. I always go there first. It was top notch groceries store. read more

I didn't even back out of the parking pick up spot and things started falling and breaking from my back seat. 2 gallon juice busted on mats and carpet. Peanut butter jar broken. Bread smashed up because bagged with a box of elbow macaroni and 2 other hard items. Items are just piled up with no consideration for soft items like bread and eggs. I've done this 4 times and 2 times I've had issues with bagging and items being broken or damaged. No one wants a package of meat with a hole in the plastic, so in the garbage it went. Substitute items after I pick what I want to pay for, guess not the end of the world but maybe don't allow people to order what's not in stock. Pictures added for proof. read more

Despite the fact that I shop at Walmart in the evening/night, this place is respectable and a bit of a pleasure to shop at. Products: it's a Walmart, they have nearly everything. Can't complain about this. Products and food are very decently faced and presented, and the selection is good too. I even grocery shopped here as well, and has most of my needs. Service: last few times, and folks that work here are friendly and helpful. Heck, they even struck a conversation with me for a little bit, even at the front checkout lanes. And the self-checkout section, though flawed (I think it's bad anywhere, Walmart, Mariano's, Tesco, EVERYWHERE), went fairly well. A nice lady who worked and monitored the self-checkout section was friendly and helpful. She even helped out a handicapped fella very much well. Misc: again, it's a Walmart, so bathrooms, motorized carts and Walmart staff are a plently and helpful. Things are well placed here, probably just like any other Walmart or Mariano's, and helpful too. A keeper in my book. And a bit nicer than the Golf Road store. This Walmart is huge but also kind of gross. Some areas are neat, while others have products that are damaged or already opened. I come here for the photo counter, which is almost never staffed. Forget about picking up your photos quickly, because you will need to hound down an associate in this massive center first. I also used their online pick-up service which was underwhelming. I ordered a few picture frames but they came in an obnoxiously huge box with tons of plastic shipping material waste. Packaging overkill for sure. They also have a weird "check-in" option through the app that is supposed to save you time but they just make you check-in all over again at the store. read more

Wish I could give negative. I use the Walmart app to order from this store and have it delivered. They have messed up so many times with giving me spoiled rotten food. Not delivering on time or at all, push you to the end of the line when they screw up. Or the items say in stock than all of a sudden its not but yet in the site it still is. I tried to order this bbq beef and it claimed it off sick the day of delivery for the next 3 weeks as i waited for it it still showed up in stock, i cancel my order and it shows out of stock go figure. Right now I'm sick as a dog ordered some stuff everything said it was in sick and now and behold at checkout one time will be late because they have to order it but yet it says in stock. Waiting all day call up to hear yea well be out there between 4 and 10 good thing I don't have a baby or child because it's almost 10pm and nothing. And I love that people who order stuff before everyone else gets pushed to the end of the line. They have done this several times to me when they allegedly couldn't get a driver for early morning so they figured I'd be ok with a 9pm when I told them that was unexceptable they said not like we can push back other customers. Find that funny the cab push me to the end of the day but everyone else gets their time slots. Don't bother to call them they never answer 30 mins on the phone nothing. This location is open 24 hours a day. I didn't quite like how employees take care of the store. It's very dirty. You can see sticky floors everywhere you walk. I only come here because of the hours. But the neighborhood Walmart is a lot nicer and friendlier people working. Anyways this store needs to step it up a lot. As I walked in I seen how kids were opening juice boxes and drinking them. Their parents just laughed. An employee saw them, and she simply looked the other way. I guess we can all do that then. Not sure if the cameras worked or not. Yes Walmart is known for the inexpensive items but if you decided to come to this specific location make sure you either come early in the morning when I am sure management staff are a bit more active and make sure everything is running smoothly. read more

The place is clean enough, there are often empty shelves, a lot of the staff is rude and the personal shoppers treat you like you are in their way. I recently had an incident where I tried to buy a game for my grandchildren. Whoever stocked the shelves did not enter the barcode into the system. Should not be a problem, normally a manager would just enter it and you would go about your business. Not this time. The person who was standing over the self check outs, all but 2 checkout's are self check out, Told me that because it wasn't in the system that he couldn't sell it to me, then grabbed it out of my hands. It was an $8.88 game, you have got to be kidding me. He even went as far as saying this is a new policy when I pointed out that I worked at Walmart when I was 18 years old, a very long time ago, and that was never the policy. I had to control laughing in his face. I'm not even gonna get into the situation with self check out, I'm not being paid to check my own shit out, the prices are going up, yet I have to do a job that all these people standing around watching you could be doing. So when I got home, I attempted to call the store. It took about I would say 3 to 4 minutes for somebody to actually pick up the phone, when they did, she seemed flustered with my situation, I was not yelling. I didn't ask for a manager, I sat on hold for about 30 minutes before giving up. So then I wrote to corporate who responded quickly enough and said how apologetic they were that someone from the store should be calling me. It's been probably about a week and a half and I have yet to receive a phone call from anyone. The corporation as a whole does not have a stellar reputation, even though their TV commercials are grasping to save face, But it seems to be getting worse and worse as time goes by. If five people are standing over the self checkouts, why can't they be checking people out? Are you kidding me? What were the prices if you want me to work there too. PROs: Speedy service, Clean bathrooms, Tidy departments, Helpful employees, Spacious, Price matching Ads CONs: Crowded during peak hours, Parking lot is a war zone I come here almost everyday for anything I need, from electronics to groceries. The main reason I come here are for the groceries. I have the ability to price match any grocery item including produce. Grab any competitor ad and they'll lower the price of any item as long it's in the ad. Which is great because Walmart is the closest location from me and I wouldn't have to spend extra gas to go to another establishment. I would enjoy coming here early in the morning because the whole store would be fully restocked and organized. It's very welcoming when everything is all neat! Not during the day when every customer as ransacked the whole place making the store less appealing haha. If you come to Walmart at around 3am (since they're 24hrs) you would see the associates work hard to replenish every deparment, including the cashiers at the front end. I've been to a lot of Walmart's in my day. My first job was as a cashier at Walmart. I'm one of those people that really does love Walmart. So, I was happy to hear that there was a Walmart near my new residence. My husband and I ventured to this location on a Sunday evening. It was a pleasant shopping experience despite the awkward store layout. The store seemed clean-until we got to the housewares area and things became pretty dirty. There had been an accident in the aisle; some sort of spill that looked like it had been there awhile. Check-out was fast and 'Hong' was extremely personable and friendly. We will definitely be back to this location. Great prices & great variety. read more
