Since the pharmacy system changed, it got really bad. I don't get notifications although the staff keep fixing it every visit, and I do get a confirmation that I'm enrolled, it just doesn't work anyway. Automatic refill doesn't work either, although I keep enrolling each time. When I call for a refill, and I have to talk to automated system for some reason instead of pressing numbers (who likes that?!) it tells me that the prescription will be ready in 3 days even when I'll clearly run out of my meds a day before that. It gives me no other option but to call a human pharmacist. I guess the staff are doing whatever they can, and usually are very helpful. However, when I asked pharmacist if it's ok to take estrogen pills with having a high BP, she said it has nothing to do with blood pressure! Wrong. There's so many warning signs on the prescription info, books etc. Have to do own research not to die. Sometimes I get a giant plastic bottle with 4 pills on the bottom. Not a great pharmacy experience. Only chose the location for a one-time prescription fill, due to it's proximity to my workplace. Two prescriptions sent in at 3:30pm yesterday. Prompted by phone to confirm they should be filled immediately. Arrived at drive-thru at 5:30pm yesterday to learn only one prescription had been filled, the other could be filled in ten or fifteen minutes, & that I can "drive around and come back when it's ready." Two hours, fully staffed, still not enough time. I couldn't wait, had an appointment and chose to pick it up this morning. Believe it or not, the prescription was still not filled at 10:00am, claimed by the pharmacy to be marked for today not yesterday , so I waited around 20-25 minutes in-store only after being told it would only take "A few minutes." I feel this pharmacy is disorganized. They're not short-staffed. It's a disconnect of some sort. Because of their broken process, I was delayed for well over half a day in receiving a pretty important medication needed for a recovery, one that was supposed to be taken simultaneously with the one that had no issues being filled on time. This is not my normal pharmacy, but I stopped here to pick up a prescription and I just wanted to reach out to say that John was very helpful. I think he was a pharmacist, but then Alex took over over once my prescription was ready and he went above and beyond because even after my insurance, my antibiotic was expensive and he went to check with RX card to see if I could get it cheaper and of course it was cheaper almost by 50% so I ended up paying quite less than I expected so I wanted to thank him To say that he went above and beyond to help a customer like me and I think that's very important when you have a job that you do go a little bit out of your way to help a patient so I really appreciate that read more

Just don't go to this location. For anything. My most recent bad experience was purchasing photos. When I got to the counter, the woman goes "oh someone opened these. Please make sure they're fine." I informed her one photo had a crease and was bent, to which she shrugged and said, no it's fine and laughed. Go anywhere but this location. I arrived at the store at 11:55 AM. I understand it's a bit late, but I was well-prepared and knew exactly what I wanted. I was expecting to be in and out quickly. Unfortunately, the item I wanted was out of stock in the front section. An employee informed me that it might be available in one of the aisles. Another employee with (colored hair obviously) started rushing her, saying there were only two minutes to close the store. However, it was only 11:56 AM. There are really no negatives when it comes to Walgreens. They have everything I need, all in one place. People are really helpful when you need to find something and this particular Walgreens carries a lot of different drink options when I'm in the mood for something different. Plus, Walgreens now sells wine. Pharmacy staff is knowledgeable and eager to be of service. Other staff always ask if they can be of assistance. Store is always clean as are the restrooms. Edit: everything below still stands. I recently went to the CVS in Rolling Meadows for their minute clinic to get some blood work done. The experience was the polar opposite of this terrible, miss, managed, Walgreens location. Even though it is a further drive from my house, it saves me a lot of stress and headache. At the CVS minute clinic, they were extremely professional, thorough and most importantly, friendly. I will continue to go there in the future, and I highly recommend CVS instead. ------ Original review: Most unprofessional pharmacy staff. A disgrace honestly. It was pretty busy when I went in for a scheduled flu shot appointment. There were a few people ahead of me and even though I got there ten minutes early, I was checked in five minutes after my appointment time. No worker made eye contact with any customer, we're visibly annoyed, frustrated, rolling their eyes at everyone. This one younger lady in blue scrubs and yellow crocs, long black hair when asked to help the line, looked right at me waiting and said no one was waiting to be helped. She couldn't be bothered. Unbelievable! The other worker pointed at me and said umm, there's someone right there. She pretty much threw a clipboard at me and told me to fill it out. I waited another ten minutes with one other person waiting. When I got in to get my shot, it was a younger girl who didn't greet me, she was working extremely fast and carelessly. She barely sanitized my arm and didn't even tell me she was about to give me the shot and forcibly jabbed me and said you're done and shoved my receipt at me. What the **** is going on at this Walgreens?! Why is everyone so incredibly and tangibly hostile here? This needs to be investigated as you are all responsible for people's health and wellbeing. Had to wait because the cashier couldn't find receipt paper to give a receipt for customer in front of me. Was also rude & talking on the phone with someone. When I asked if she could check us out on another register (the customer in front of us already left and did not want his receipt anymore because it was pretty long) she responded very rude "that's what im saying". The store is fine. The pharmacy is completely atrocious. I had my dr call in a prescription on a Friday afternoon. Prescription didnt get filled. I figured Ill call Saturday around noon. After being constantly put on hold for over 15 minutes, I'm then told my doctor didn't call it in. Ok.. BS.. So I call my doctor and he said he called it in the day before but he'll call it in again while Im on the phone with him. So he calls it in. This is at 1:40 pm. Not a call, not a confirmation text. Long story short, pharmacy closes, now thats 2 days in a row where I haven't received my medication. That's TWO days in a row where they had tons of time to fill a prescription and did NOT. Like I said, the pharmacy is a joke. This is inexcusable. Do your jobs!!!! read more

I came to the clinic for a UTI. I was prescribed antibiotics, and was told I would receive a follow up call to see how I was feeling. As promised I received a phone call. During this phone call she asked how I was feeling. I explained due to the antibiotics I now had a yeast infection. Before I could even finish my sentence she interrupted and told me I could get medication over the counter, or call my primary care doctor. As a nurse I was taken aback by this. I needed a prescription for a yeast infection not narcotics! She was the provider I picked to see on the matter, and now I was being told to call someone else! Had I known the poor quality of care I would receive I would have never gone their in the first place. If that's the case I will from now on see my primary care provider. There are 2 different Walgreens that I go to: this one and the other in Arlington Heights on Campbell. Believe it or not, this one is nicer. Both feel old and run down. The worst part about this Walgreens is the location and corner it is on. It feels hard to get in and out of the lot. The drive through pharmacy is also hard to navigate. Compared to the other Walgreens, the drive through here seems to be quicker at completing your order. Overall I pick this location, but feel they should renovate both. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Every time I go to this pharmacy to pick up a prescription there is a problem. I get the robocall that its ready and go in only to find they have no record of the prescription or have put the meds back into their inventory. There is never a satisfactory explanation for the screw-ups. Yesterday was the last straw. I went through the drive-thru for my pick up only to be told that the insurance had expired. I gave her my new card, she goes somewhere then comes back and tells me the insurance company says I'm not covered. Huh. Weird. That same card worked just fine at the doctor's office the day before. Then she says she'll search for me in her system, comes back and says she found coverage under something call "Paid". What is that? I've never heard of that. And then I get a look like I'm crazy for not wanting her to put through the scrip under this other insurance. DO NOT go to this pharmacy. They are completely incompetent. read more

Still waiting 6 days later for a "rapid" test! I've already gone to another facility and had my results back 25 minutes later. THAT'S rapid! It's good to know that if I needed a quick answer in order to travel for work or need to be around other people for an event or there's an emergency, that we should NOT go to Walgreens for a quick test. How long would a a regular test take them if this is what they consider "rapid?" What a joke! Do not go here for a test. It's a Walgreen's----but it's not just any walgreens. The pharmacy staff saved my life, twice. Two separate doctors wrote me prescriptions for a drug that I am extremely allergic to. Expect a cornucopia of well-stocked merch, friendly employees and fairly speedy pharmacy folks. Plus, the location is just off the highway and super close to other necessities around town. They not only were able to transfer my prescription, but also cheerfully (I kid you not) found my rx at another location that was easy for me to find (bc I'm not super familiar with the area). Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Needed to transfer an RX from CVS(thanks to insurance) and the pharmacist at Walgreens acted like I was asking her to cut off her own arm. Tried refilling an Rx that required the doctors approval and waited 4 days and I finally called Walgreens and only then did they inform that the doctor needed an appointment to be made which is fine but Walgreens should have contacted me to let me know this immediately! Do not go here when there is a CVS 2 min down or at least go to another Walgreens. The customer service, satisfaction at this store is so ridiculous!!! They are not helpful and very arrogant. I had a $5 DC that did not come off when I bought the product that was listed and followed all their restrictions and rules. After 10 min of Mr. Kush shaw reading the coupon over and over, asking me to sign and out he says I am not sure why. He then pulls out his phone to adjust the price and reduces the 3 tooth brushes .80¢ and said ok $5 is off. What?!? I said the tooth brushes should be $1.66 @ that point. OMG you can't divide 5 into 3 on your phone?!? Wow!! Apparently he was embarrassed when the cashier said that is not correct and he then calls "mgr" Mike who flips my phone round and round like if the DC was not in my app. I said can't you just add the points, he ignores me and walks to the aisle and said I can not use a digital coupon on a sale that gives you a reward.... Are you kidding me!!! This is the worst service and waste of time EVER! 15 min of nonsense! It is not my fault the DC did not come off, your staff is incompetent and then are mad because they didn't know how to fix a simple issue. My product was the one pictured on the coupon!!! This is a review in regards to service that I received for my 5 year old daughter. This was by far the worst patient experience I have ever encountered and thanks to Andrea Fuller, I will never seek care or recommend anyone seek care at an Advocate Walgreens clinic.... EVER!!! This woman was rude, and has no clue how to deal with people especially a 5 year old girl running a 103 fever. Upon arrival, we checked and in I got on the phone with my insurance company as I recently changed employers. When she came out and saw me on the phone she interrupted me and said I need ID and insurance card. I explained that I was on the phone to get the information and she said "if I don't have the physical card here, you just have to pay out pocket." I explained that I would get her the card and she said, "I have an appointment at 5 pm so you will have to wait until 5:30." It was 4:25 at that time. Once I decided to just pay up front to get my sick child seen, she performed the exam and without even explaining what she was doing, proceeded to try and culture her throats without even warning her what she was doing. My daughter was traumatized, as was I, and now Andrea has the nerve to tell me I need to hold her down so she can get the sample! Ridiculous! They obviously don't care who is seeing patients at these clinics, and because of that, I will make sure I tell everyone I know to stay as far away from Walgreens take care clinics as possible. read more

Disclaimer: This review is for the Advocate clinic inside Walgreens. I registered for an appointment online, stating that I needed a couple vaccines for my 11 year old. I filled out the form in its entirety, including insurance information. I arrived for my appointment on time, and was greeted by no one. There's no bell or way to alert staff that you're there, and Walgreens is not affiliated with them; it's a separate business, so they cannot help you. I filled out the 6 pages of registration forms. Eventually someone walked out 15 minutes later. After explaining the reason for my visit, they told me that yes, they take my insurance and yes, they do offer vaccines but that likely my insurance wouldn't cover the vaccines. They could do them anyway and try to bill the insurance, but I would be liable for the cost if it wasn't approved. Say what?? What was the point of the online registration, where I clearly stated the reason for my visit and my insurance info? I'm a single mom with 3 kids and cannot afford the time or gas money wasted on this trip. The lady who helped us was nice, so props for that. But I can safely say I will not be returning anytime soon. read more

Doesn't even look for infection, no exam at all, starts a lecture about antibiotic over use and tells me she is not writing a RX. ME - Excuse me?? I didn't come in and tell you I needed one. You didn't even look at me. HER - Well I can have a look but am not giving antibiotic. ME - Well why bother then. We visited the clinic in this Walgreens the evening of January 5, 2016 and saw a blonde female with glasses. We proceeded to tell her the symptoms which was fever headache chills and cough. She automatically said this is not a sickness this is a head injury and we need to go to the ER. Mind you she just took temperature, didn't check lungs ears throat etc.....we were in and out in two minutes so I said F that and went to CVS in rolling meadows which we were diagnosed with bronchitis, start of pneumonia and an ear infection. If I had to give this store zero stars, I would. This is by far the WORST Walgreens I have ever been to. My 9 year old son bought a toy for $6 there. When we bought it, we payed with cash and they didn't even ask us if we wanted a receipt. The toy also came in different colors there and shortly after we bought it he wanted to change colors. They all cost the same. We went up to the register and said we wanted to exchange the toy's color. Same company, same toy, same price. Of course the rude lady behind the counter started questioning me. She kept asking if I had a receipt. NOBODY asked me if I wanted a receipt so I don't understand why she expected me to have it. Then she calls over her manager. The manager and management at this store is TERRIBLE. The manager is so disrespectful and stuck up. Managers should be kind and willing to help, but this manager is the complete utter opposite. She looks at me and asks me if I had a receipt and I said "no because nobody asked if I wanted one". She just glances my way and says "sorry we can't help". She didn't even try to help me. Asking me if I had a piece of paper is not helping. We BOUGHT the toy, we didn't steal it. All we want to do is change the color. It wouldn't hurt them if they did. In fact they could take the toy we want to return, by the way wasn't even open, and put it on sale for the same exact price and sell it to make money. I don't want an exchange or a refund, but I just want an apology from the manager for giving me poor customer service. This isn't the first time the manager has been rude. One time I went there to see if they had a special item I was looking for. The manager didn't even try to look for it and she said they didn't have. She didn't even check, I don't think she has the inventory memorized in her head. Her boss isn't paying her just to blow off the customers. I didn't want to make an extra trip, so I asked her if she would phone another Walgreens and see if they had it. All of a sudden, she starts making up excuses saying that she can't do that and they'll put her on hold for an hour. I mean seriously, there is no harm in trying. She started getting really annoyed with me and was acting rude. She made us drive 6 miles to see if they had it and they didn't. I wasted my gas, my time, and money. I know for sure that I'm not going back to that store until she is fired. I'm not the only one out there who's thinking this. This store has 2 1/2 star rating, that must mean something. I would not recommend shopping here majority of the employees are rude and don't really help you when you need the help. I actually recommend the Walgreens in Elk Grove. 641 Meacham Rd, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. They have amazing service and a super nice manager. read more
