*******UPDATE********** Returned to Walmart with research in hand. Spoke with Team lead Caitlin and Coach Jim. We all explained our sides and after deliberations the printer was returned and I got my money back. Thank you Caitlin and Jim for going the distance to make a decision to help the consumer through a bad case of unfortunate issues. would not give this store even one star if I had a choice. Purchased a printer in Nov. that was a Christmas gift. . With the holidays and company in town we didn't set it up right away. Today I went to set it up for my mom and noticed the printer was dirty and definitely looked used. I went to Walmart to return it and they said it was outside of the return window. Past the 30 day return policy. ok I get that but this isn't the correct printer in the box. serial numbers don't match my receipt. Someone obviously returned this printer dishonestly. Walmart refuses to do anything now I have a printer that is used and not right. I also have a warranty I can't use because the serial numbers don't match my receipt. This is Walmarts fault as they returned this printer and put it back on the shelf without checking that the right printer was returned. I'm out over $70 for Walmart's mistake. Poor customer service. You want people to self checkout so only one manned register, but then only four self checkouts open.

Went there the other night with the intention of buying a pair of ear buds. My husband and I stood near the register while we waited for the clerk to finish with the lady there ahead of us and then the woman picking up photos. The clerk finished with both women and the walked to an isle to our left and then walked off to our right and then down a left hand isle. It happened so quickly that I couldn't even flag him down. We waited a few minutes and when I figured he wasn't coming back, I went to look for him. I found him walking up one of the main isles towards the front of the store. I called down to him, got his attention and asked if he worked in the electronics dept. When he came up to me I told him he walked past us, twice, and his response wasn't, I'm sorry, or I didn't see you (which would be hard to do, I'm not a tiny woman). Nope, his response was, I don't hear silent. Never even asked what I needed. So I finally told him forget it, just forget it. He turned and left. I saw a young man that was stocking and asked if there was a manager that was over him (the electronics clerk). Nice young man. He asked what happened and I started out with, the kid is worthless and then told him what happened. In the meantime, his manager went and got the supposed manager over electronic boy. She walks up to me and first thing she says is, she didn't appreciate me calling the kid worthless and I said, but he is. I wasn't attacking the kids character as a person. Just his shitty character as a clerk. I told her what happened and not once did she ask me what I wanted. She might have said sorry but even I can't say for sure. She just kept going on about not saying the kid was worthless. We went back and forth a little bit more when I finally said that she's about as good as he was and that she wasn't going to do anything anyways, and I said I was done. As I'm walking away she's mumbling things but at that point I'm just done. I don't want the damn ear buds and I certainly wasn't going to give them my money. Like my $100 was going to hurt them. Now, if you've made this far I want you to know that it takes a lot for me to go off on sales people. A lot. I understand that shit happens. You can be busy or even called away by your boss. I get it. But this wasn't the case with this clerk. I worked 24 years dealing with customers coming into our company to buy product. If I had done what that kid had done, I would have been in a world of shit. Now I work as a cashier and I never would treat a customer like the two of them did. So I'm done with my rant. I bought the ear buds off of Amazon (which I hated to do). I did speak with another manager that worked in customer service and he was very nice. Very nice. But at this point, I'm done with this store. I've had other issues here but this was the worst and it's the last. So in my frustration, I completely forgot to get names. But the supposed manager in electronics has long colorful hair. Pretty actually, and I would have told her that if we had not been having a battle over words. Overall it was the interaction between the clerk and the "manager" that just led to the horrible experience at this store. I hated to give it even 1 star. read more

The food was good but the avocados were hard as rock. But what I am writing this review about is about this one girl. She was a worker there by the self check out. She was older and skinny. She went up to thee different kids and touched them and was playing with them when there parents were checking out. I do believe she was trying to steal them. GET HER OUT read more

Usually have no problem with the Walmart in Middlefield, Ohio. But today I came away furious. Had to stand in line with 6 people in front of me just to pay for the red mulch. No one at the register in the garden section. Then went to the customer service dept to have someone paged to help me load my purchase. Waited for close to a half an hour in the hot sun! Finally some kind amish women helped me load my bags then I helped them. This is not the time of year to NOT have someone in the garden section to ring you out and help load. Pick up keeps moving around the parking lot and signage for it is not great. Inside service reps at check out are just slow and disinterested. Store is usually messy and in need to TLC. read more

i have tried to get a photo in which I h gotten emails saying it was done. When I arrived they can't find it. Two times I have made a special trip to get it but to no avail. They suggested I call, so I did but no one will answer the phone. I tried several times but will pickup. This store is either short handed or everyone is incompetent. read more

This place has everything you need! Including Buggie parking & barns/garages! Typical Super Walmart but nicely spaced so for how crowded it was there was still plenty of walking room in the large aisles. We got all we needed for a BBQ of chicken legs (on sale for a large amount!), burgers (fresh packed patties not frozen, also on sale), condiments, wine, beer, etc...! The check out lines were pretty short but took a while for some reason. I was surprised they did not have much of a 4th of July aisle I was hoping for some flag tanks, etc... read more

While it agreeably has lots of items to choose from unfortunately very few are manufactured in the USA, I often wonder why consumers support a company whose business model promotes foreign economies so heavily. What ever happened to Sam Walton's motto MADE IN AMERICA, opps, guess that one slipped down the crapper, and besides consumes are stupid, and will buy into any well conceived and executed marketing plan. Kudos, to the Walmart marketing and PR teams the buffet was set with all the trimmings and the public (as least for the most part) just gorged on the feast. The grocery section in the mw has fair selection of items available but what I have experienced is comparing prices of items purchased at MW to the same or similar items at the Chardon Marc's that I had spent 18 to 31 percent more at the MW. This does not mean everything is higher but that overall a given purchase of multiple grocery items at the Middlefield Walmart cost more than had I made the same purchase at Marc's in Chardon. Allowing a Walmart to be placed in Middlefield is probably the most negatively devastating event to befall this small community. Yes, consumers get many products all in one location many at what Walmart considers Low Prices but at what expense. Around town local business closed (the long standing ACE Hardware and many others), empty buildings, lost jobs, revenue dollars generated from sales that NOW leaves the community, increased strain on community infrastructure, increase of low paying jobs. I would make the assumption higher prices are a reflection of limited competition in the Middlefield market. As I see it the only viable competition would be the Giant Eagle and it has been my experience that the prices there are generally higher than the MW. While often Save-A_Lot will have lower pricing on comparable items, their selection is primarily limited to lesser or unknown brands. read more

As far as Wal-Marts go, this place is awful. I'm a local, and this store is nothing to brag about. Their selection, while not terrible, is not fantastic either. Service, as in finding an employee to help you find something, is not good. You're fortunate if you can find someone who's truly friendly and willing to help. The biggest problem, however, is that they "never'' have enough cash registers open. They are absolutely terrible when it comes to this!!! They have umpteen registers, including at least 4 self service, but there are hardly ever more than 3 or 4 open. In the evenings, even the self service ones are shut down. Ok so it's a Walmart. How special can that be? Well, this Super Walmart is located in the heart of Ohio Amish country. Yes, it has hitching posts for horses and parking spaces for buggies. Yes the horses can leave you souvenirs if you are not careful where you step. The store is very clean and well stocked. The service is exceptionally good. The produce section is good. If you are in the area and feel the need to shop for necessities you will not be disappointed. read more

Worst Walmart ever. So many dented and damaged food containers. Inconsistent inventory, and zero employees around to help. "Not my job", or "I don't know". All their produce(and is ALWAYS LIMITED, EVEN THOUGH IN AMISH COUNTRY) is damaged and looks like people have been playing soccer or kick ball with them. I've had so many damaged veggies and fruits, this is not a fluke. Zero quality control, they don't care. How does every piece of fruit get split open and.or bruised? It's from abuse within walmart. It's not the suppliers. I've told many walmart employees that this is the worst walmart I've ever had to use. My shopping choices are extremely limited in Amish country, and the place is just a huge depressing experience with 30 checkout isles, and maybe 5 open during peak times. I've been there with $200 worth of groceries in my cart with NO ISLES OPEN. I was told I had to wait 20 minutes for the "meeting" for the shift change to be over, or use the self checkout. I can't express how bad this place is in text. Their expensive $15/lb steaks are like roadkill and cut with a dull friggin hacksaw. Their "it's a steakout" meat is horrid and should be banned by the FDA. But I don't think the FDA has any part in what they sell due to the FDA's lack of control over this monster. Disgusting place. I wish that I could give this store a good review, but I just can't. I would rather spend my gas money and time driving to Chardon to buy from their store, with the added bonus of being able to stop at Chardon Aldi for extras. When comparing Middlefield Walmart to Chardon Walmart, the first thing I noticed was that the Middlefield store is more disorganized, products on shelves seem disheveled. In addition, the store itself feels less clean, which is less quantitative and more difficult to measure than disorganization. I've also noticed that the employees at the Middlefield Walmart are less willing to help customers, and seem like they have poor attitudes, or are generally unhappy. "Hillbilly Heaven" would aptly describe the organizational culture of the Middlefield store. Some other gripes that I have with this particular location have to do with the lawn and garden area and the quality of products therein. The potted flower plants look as if they have been utterly ignored, or at the very least mishandled, and sport tons of crispy and moldy deadheads. It appears as if the employees spend most of their time trying to sell non-living products, and completely ignore the care of the plant-life, which is the lifeblood of any greenhouse center. I overheard several customers complaining about the quality of the flowers, the amount of moldy/rotting leaves and heads, and the fact that none of the products had correct (or any) prices on them. One woman commented, "None of the flowers out here have prices on them, how am I supposed to know how much they are?". Finally, the Chardon Walmart has a better selection of grocery items, as well as other items. read more

The cashiers here are always rude to me, and I constantly feel judged every time I buy a few party sized bags of chips. My husband is constantly having game nights, and I'm stuck picking up the food, so I feel they should be less judgy. Also, I hardly ever see anyone smile. They should learn to be more friendly. read more

This is the WORST Walmart ever. Despite the flu epidemic being the worst in years, this store never has any cart wipes available. When you ask the customer service reps. where they are, they're always on order, despite the store shelves being loaded with them. The store is dirty and limited in selection, as they cater mainly to the local community. The ONLY reason I go into this store is for the Pharmacy. The Pharmacy is great, a wonderful group of people who are friendly, helpful and extremely efficient. As for the Walmart, I try to avoid going there at all costs. read more

Seriously, this store use to be great, now it absolutely sucks!!! I went to get goo- gone, just one item, so I myself went to the hard ware dept. and looked, couldn't find it, so I asked my daughter to find an employee, she did, 10 minutes later someone comes, she looks with me for another 10 minutes asking for another employee, another 10 minutes later this man tells her that it was moved to lawn & garden??...weird I thought, but finally...we go over there....I'm searching all over there and NOTHING, so again, while I'm looking, my daughter goes and grabs another worker, she then starts another 15 minute search...till she picks up the phone at a register near there and calls for help. ANOTHER 10 or so minutes pass and this other employee comes and says she thinks they moved it to automotive. I'm already beyond PISSED OFF. I said, you go get it for me. I could hardly stand anymore and could tell I was seriously, no joke going to hit the floor and have a seizure. By this time I've lost time, I'd been there nearly an hour, she comes back to meet me in lawn and garden and says it wasn't over there either. Then she thinks it may be by the house hold cleaners, again, I told her I couldn't at that point make it across the store that far anymore, and she said she was going to send someone else to go get it, and that they would meet me at the register...as if there is one???? She runs off to go get it before I'm asking her WHICH REGISTER????? So, My daughter and I, now WAY over an hour and a half at this point, are standing at the front of the registers, asking each and every person if they have "the goo-gone?"...everyone thinks we are crazy... FINALLY, about 10 additional final minutes later, we were handed goo-gone, and checked out!!! THIS STORE HAS PLUMEDET DRASTECLY SINCE THEY HAVE OPENED...ITS VERY SAD, IT USE TO BE A GOOD STORE, CANNOT SAY THE SAME AT ALL ANYMORE... read more
