This Dollar Tree is located in close proximity to local grocery stores - Dave's and Meijer. It's…read morevery convenient to grocery shop and then stop in for smaller, discounted items. That was exactly my plan. I needed small household things and did not want to overspend. Store Layout: The layout of the store is your expected Dollar Tree. During my last visit I noticed that the store is considerably cleaner and with minor updates (like coolers). It is most certainly a better shopping experience than it has been over the years. It's now one of the more tidy Dollar General stores on the East Side. Inventory: The inventory is pretty extensive, and no boxes on the sales floor. Lots of cute fall finds! Ample over $1 inventory. They were low on a few things during my visit - metal forks and books. I was very happy to find some plus size leggings for $5. I am becoming addicted to these leggings. They are comfy, wash well, and not bad quality for such a deal! Service: Service is very awkward and transactional. The checkout process seemed to move fairly quickly which was a plus on a football Sunday. Parking: Ample plaza parking is available. There is usually active construction in this area which seems to last an eternity. Plan for a bit of extra time to navigate the area. I would recommend this Dollar Tree if you want expeditious and productive shopping experience. I just hope that you don't need forks! Because they might NOT have them!

I don't know if I'm alone on this, but it was overwhelming. I prefer to see racks of like items, maybe different colors, but there was very little of that here. The majority was racks and racks of clothes, different styles and sizes all together. While I know a lot of people like to find a deal at and enjoy the hunt, that's not me when it comes to digging and digging through racks of differing styles. I didn't really pay much attention to the prices, as I didn't see anything that interested me, but I imagine they're decent like their sister stores across the country.

Five Below in Mayfield is located at a plaza on Som Center Road. If you're in the shopping mode,…read morevisit other nearby retailers - Target, Marc's, ALDI, and CVS in the same plaza. I've visited this location plenty of times. My collective experiences were average. AMBIANCE: Expect your typical Five Below layout. The store is seldom organized. Usually you'll find misplaced merchandise and a lot of disorganization. It's also a pretty high traffic store. If you want a chill browsing experience it's not your store. INVENTORY: The inventory indicated online does not reflect the store's inventory. I've experienced this more than once looking for books, beads, picnic blanket, rugs, and yoga mats. For instance, during the last visit I saw in stock items of various beads sets. None were available in the store and were nowhere to be found. As far as the stuff at the store, there are a lot of cute finds. During my last visit I found Labubu-like keychains, fluffy Disney headphones, hot stone massage kit, and sushi shaping kits. The most exciting section was books! There were a few trending thrillers and lots of YA books. It's worth browsing if you're a book girlie. During my last visit I purchased wired headphones for Apple products. The product was $8 and didn't fit any of my Apple products. I now have to investigate returning. It was a bummer. NYE: New Year Eve merch is available seasonally. Inventory includes crowns, backdrops, punch bowls, glasses, hats, necklaces, and more. The stuff is a lot cuter than at other retailers. Perfectly sparkly things for your stay at home celebration. SERVICE: Service is pretty good. Employees try to be friendly. One sales associate assisted me with looking for bead seats even walking through the sales floor with me. We had a nice little conversation. I really appreciated her personalized approach. While this is not my preferred Five Below destination, it will do if you want something simple. If you're looking for particular treasures, call in about inventory. I know I will next time!

There are also a few more corporate retailers here. The experience at this store is subpar. I prefer other Dollar Trees in the area. AMBIANCE/INVENTORY: The store is incredibly dated and resembles a warehouse. Specifically, especially the floor is so old and looks half stripped. This look makes it look a bit dirty. The store is pretty unkempt - mountain of boxes by the entryway, plenty of bare walls, and random boxes obstructing the aisles. The inventory that lives on shelves is also pretty shuffled. It's not a good experience if you need something quickly. The inventory is your usual Dollar Tree assortment and then some. I was looking for European cookies ($1.25) that are impossible to find at other DS. I also purchased two Danish Style Butter Cookie mini containers ($1.25 each) because ''tis the season. You can also find plenty of seasonal decor and packaging - stockings, gift bags, and other decor. I was especially impressed with Toyland $5 finds. There were even toys like sushi kit and tea set. If you're into super deals, there are plenty of 25 cent stocking stuffers by the entrance. Most are stickers and decals. SERVICE: The service is nice. The employees are dressed festively for Christmas. They try to be very friendly. The store is surveying on receipts so perhaps this interplays into this. During my latest visit there were too many employees congregating by one checkout with one checkout open. It seemed inefficient. I usually prefer other Dollar Trees on the East Side. The shopping plaza gets very congested during busy times (seasons or weekends), it's hard to navigate in and out. But most of all, I don't like the atmosphere at this store - too dated, too disheveled, and not pleasant to shop at. I hope that the store improves going forward and gets a facelift.

One of my little ones was sleep when we arrived, so double stroller was in full force. Once inside the store, I walked past a few associates who didn't even smile or nod. If any had spoken, I would've asked for directions to the kid's area since there isn't a directory near the door. But I wandered a bit and found a display of sale accessories before I got to the kid's area. I picked up 2 items. Win for Kohls! When I got to the kid's area, I was pleased to see clear signage for the sizes in each section. However, some of the aisles were not wide enough to fit a stroller. So, I wasn't able to easily navigate the entire area. I would have looked longer and potentially found more if I could've gotten around. I did find some items and didn't have to wait long in the checkout line. My cashier was very friendly and conversational. She made up for those who ignored me earlier. I'd come back, sans children, and would check out the kid's area as well as things for myself.
